I've only played MGS, 2, 3, 4 and Rising. I love MGS for nostalgia and MGS3 was interesting at release (I don't enjoy it these days). I cannot fucking stand 2 or 4. Rising was serviceable from the gameplay perspective but honestly, it's one of the weakest platinum games propped up by a fantastic soundtrack.
I could not be assed to bother with the PSP games. My position on the MGS games I've played thus far is that there are more bad games than there are good. I cannot understand why people are so gung-ho about the series.
