Let's all be completely honest; is this the most likely scenario should Bayo 3 be made, considering that numerous publishers (Including Sony and MS) shot down Bayo 2 when it was pitched to them?

Would be neat but I doubt that. Don't think the switch could handle it visually even if they lowered the resolution, and even then playing Nier at 25 fps would be awful.

Wouldn't it have to be? They wouldn't just put Bayo 3 on Xbone and PS4 without 2 right?

We know platinum are working on "multiple" Switch titles and given Bayonetta's inclusion in Smash, it's very possible

Sega weren't prepared to front the bill themselves for a Bayo sequel, but said they'd get on board if Platinum could find another publisher willing to bankroll the game.

there's nothing particularly impressive with automata's visuals, scale them down some more and the switch could easily run it

square already said they wanted to port the most games possible on switch and platinum said they'd love to make automata for switch they just need square allowing them to do it

I like a good story too user, but don't be rustling my jimmies when the gameplay is about half as deep as bayonetta on it's best day.
