Mario Kart 8 already #1 seller for 2017 on Amazon

It's already outsold the entire 2017 sales of Zelda on Amazon.

amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2017/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar

Why do so many people buy gift cards when you can just use your own credit card to buy what you want on the console?

>trusting sony with your money

Because Sonys security is dog shit and they will end up releasing everyone card details again.

>Not saving a penny

This is why the Jews win

>port of a 3 year old game beats hyped game with huge marketing budget with a 55 mio install base on launch day

>#1 seller
>is clearly #3

Wait so there are more copies of MK8 sold than Switches? What the fuck

Scalpers. As a collective they are pretty dumb.

That's just the grey model.

Who the fuck buys PSN credit? Can't you just pay by bank card?

>Only Amazon sells Switches
Are you okay user?

Lol

Look up Sony getting hacked like 5 times

see

There's no shortage of Switch games. It's difficult to get a Switch console. So many people will buy Switches from a local retailer like Best Buy or Walmart, and buy their games via Amazon.

Keep in mind the Switch version of Breath of the Wild outsold the Switch because of the trickle of Switch consoles. BotW literally has an attach rate over 100%.

So to that end it wouldn't be too unusual that MK8D can outsell the Switch itself, but it should even out once supply gets out there and the MK8D bundle drops next month.

Nobody trusts Sony with their credit card info

Because a sizable percentage of the userbase is too young for credit cards.

If it's like this on amazon the same is probably true elsewhere

>BotW literally has an attach rate over 100%.
I was luckily able to get a switch but Nintedo should really stop with their false scarcity bullshit

I stopped giving Sony my credit card after they billed me for $120 for FIFA microtransactions when I don't even own that game.

It's not false. I wish this meme would end.

>mk8d sold more than botw
what

>There's no shortage of Switch games.
There's like 3

He means in terms of product supply dumbass.

Bomberman sold out but I hear it recently got a restock

Did you actually expect fucking Zelda to outsell Mario Kart. While MK8 may just be a port keep in mind no one has a WiiU

I swear most the scalpers have to be Nintendo employees

Eh? Explain the reason.

HOW IS THIS FUCKING POSSIBLE

I saw a scalper selling over 6 switches. How the hell is that even possible for normal people?

>20% off with Prime

No duh, of course it's selling well.

No one counts gift cards.

Especially when said gift cards are only bought because

Dude they camp out on launch day. I've seen this for every launch or every major consumer tech.

I sort of tried this for ps2. Was able to nab three but it backfired in my face so I said never again. I think total profit I made was like 50 bucks. Lol. Worst scalper ever I was.

>Reading comprehension

It's easy mode with Nintendo consoles. Nintenbros are so easy to make money off of. They're willing to pay over double the actual price for the switch. It's a shame I managed to only nab two extra switches though

what went right?

Yet Amazon can't ship out copies to lots of people because they took too many orders.

Marketing, and the fact that the WiiU didn't sell well.

Nigger, do you have any ideas how many times Sony has been hacked?

People are also buying gift cards because of a Final Fantasy promotional thing

>Arriving today
>Has yet to ship

Nintendo shit always does better than the rest in physical retail because everyone moved on to digital mostly, something you can't do on nintendo's fucking 32gb garbage heap.

That would be a good point, if it wasn't by the fact that you can buy dirty cheap generic SD cards. As low a 34 cents per GB in some Ultra High Speed models.

You realise it uses regular micro SD's right?

lol the excuses get worse and worse

>amerifats love downlord card

This is why they are fat. Go to gameshops with your foot

It is false. They've been doing this shit for years.

Also, there is no fucking way they did not know the NES Classic would be a hit.

Just called about this shit, and they told me they don't have any left.

>brainless drones are desperate for games on their 1 game device

Wow I can't believe it

Sony literally just buys shit with your credit card.
I kept my information on there once and they bought three extra months of PSN and when I called they told me that they had every right to do it and that they were "making an exception" by refunding my money.
It took like a month and a half to actually get the $20 back.
I literally have never used PSN in my life, I just put my credit card on there to buy stardew valley.

you probably live near a distribution center.

mine says the same thing all the time because i live a couple of miles away from one.

Why though? Am I the only person not in a hurry to run out and buy a game I already have? I mean, portable Mario Kart 8 sounds awesome, but there's a dozen things I'd rather have before that. Maybe if it was $40 I'd get it day 1, but not at $60, no.

Just trying to understand the reasoning:
>OH MAN! Can't wait to pop in that game that.. I already have and have ignored for 6 months

not that many people have a wii u ya know

Most people bought their Switch locally and Zelda with it. Mario Kart isn't going to be supply constrained so you might as well get it from amazon.

It says that because they're expecting a shipment today and don't want to let people cancel.

>Also, there is no fucking way they did not know the NES Classic would be a hit.

Actually I think they honestly didn't. Nintendo of Japan seems to want to refuse to believe anyone anywhere likes "retro" things. They've been pulling this shit since Smash came out. Remember how absurdly limited the Gamecube adapters were? Their response:
>"Wow, so people really wanted to GC controllers in Smash, huh? That's weird.."

These gooks are so fucking out of touch it's amazing.

>It's already outsold the entire 2017 sales of Zelda on Amazon.
That's not how Amazon's best sellers work, you fucking mongoloid. It's a fluid list that calculates how popular an item is at any given moment. Of course a brand new release will be selling faster than a 2 month old game

This is Sup Forums, where we had MK8 generals on an hourly basis for 3 months despite it being against board rules

I'm honestly surprised how often sales, Switch restocks, and game ranking [sales] are shown here so often.

Isnt this blatant marketing?

More people own a Wii U than a Switch.

Do you think that 100% of Switch owners are also Wii u owners?

Switch owners have nothing better to do since they only have 2 Wii U ports

>13 million people
>8 million of them already purchased Mario Kart

And I guarantee a lot of these idiots are buying it again.

Looking at how low BotW sales are on the Wii U, I would say that the majority of Switch owners are former Wii U owners

I think more Switch owners, not counting scalpers, own a Wii U than don't.

>"Our most popular product of the year updated daily"

Reading is hard

My bad, i thought it was the standard best seller list, didn't see the "of 2017" part

>they're expecting a shipment today

uhh no, it doesnt work like that. if anything, they got all of their stock days ago.

>don't want to let people cancel
amazon doesnt give a shit if you cancel items.
they arent like gamestop where they have to beg people to not cancel games.

t. I worked at a amazon fulfillment center for 5 years.

Most people bought consoles in person, and bought Zelda at the same time. Mariokart is something people are willing to risk it not arriving day one.

It makee since that itd sell more on an online-only retailer.

Okay, I'll extrapolate it out for you:

>Of course Mario Kart 8 is selling higher than Zelda, which had more than one edition - many people have Prime (or are using Student Prime) and are getting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 20% below most other major retailers' prices on top of the fact that it only has one edition.

That's two minutes of my life that I won't get back, asshole.

Then tell us why multiple people have been told they ran out of stock, are expecting a shipment today, and won't let people cancel despite clearly not meeting release day delivery.

All that rant about Prime also applied to Zelda genius, and Mario Kart 8 also had a very similar entry on Wii U years ago.

>trusting Sony with any of your personal information
L O L, I'd rather let NSA buttfuck me with MS.

Zelda had limited supplies, too. And a Wii U version. MK8D doesn't have a CE nor is it launching in limited/scalped quantities.

I just think it's pretty obvious that MK8 would sell more, given the circumstances.

It's also the best selling game in Amazon Mexico

Software sales on Wii U are dead thanks to well known, easy to access piracy.

Didn't the BotW sales numbers include the WiiU version?

no, the switch version alone achieved the 100% attach rate.

People are retarded and don't regularly get new cards semi annually.
