Of course user that's been settled for years.
how could anybody forget? Galaxy 1 and 2 were boring
Please.
>GameCube toddlers
this game is the definition of artificial difficulty
what the fuck were they thinking at Yoshi's Fruit Adventure
>hey nigger keep groundpounding in these two things until rng gives you a specific fruit so you can pick yoshi
>oh sorry the fruit fell down because the exit is extremely near the water so you will have to try again
>wow good you made it!
>oh, you fell on the water one time? too bad, have to ground pound until your butt hurts again
it's comfiest for sure
don't think there's a single level I wouldn't want to just hang out in a soak up the ambience
god I miss the theme park
The Blue Coins and most of the 100-coin missions were awful.
Id enjoy it a lot more if the 60 fps 1080p set up was more stable, but its still an excellent game otherwise.
It's the worse 3D Mario, filled with awful levels, boring water spraying, and a really dumb story. Every 3D Mario is superior.
the gamecube is slowly getting up there as one of the overrated consoles.
You SURE about that?
I think 64 is better but Sunshine is definitely second, it's better than Galaxy 1+2 to me for sure just due to how Mario controls and the worlds being less linear.
Thread Theme:
mario sunshine was the only large scale mario game i have ever played
I played mario 3d land on 2ds, but didn't find it as fun because there was less exploration, and it was more of a rush to the end for me. what mario game captures the open world feeling of mario sunshine the best?
Mario 64, Galaxy 1 & 2, and the upcoming Odessy for Switch are all the games in the same style as Sunshine
Reminder that Wind Waker is the worst 3d zelda game and this is an indisputable fact
nah SS is easily worse. If this part was in SS you would have the king of red lions tell you the answer and then a quick call from zelda right after to make sure you got it.
>Baby's first unfinished, empty, "puzzle" zelda game is best
Wait a minute, this is a mario thread you derailing fuck
>"You can only talk about one game each thread!"
I wonder how many people have seen this webm without playing the game and thought any of the rest of the game is like this. It really is out of place, I wonder why it's there.
This webm perfectly sums up the mediocrity that is Wind Waker
Explain to me the mental gymnastics that makes posting Zelda bait in a Super Mario Sunshine thread "on-topic".
I dont care how many (You)s you give me, Im not giving any back
>Reminder that Super Mario Sunshine is the best 3d Mario game and this is an indisputable fact
>Reminder that Wind Waker is the worst 3d zelda game and this is an indisputable fact
How is it not related?
>Mediocrity that is all 3D Zeldas
FTFY
Only actual toddlers like 3D Zelda, 2D Zelda is superior in all regards.
Fair enough.
Wind Waker is the worst of the bunch though
I wasnt aware the WW was a 3D Mario game.
If thats what you were expecting, its no wonder why you dont like it.
>3d game
>Nintendo game
It's on topic faggot, stay mad
It has a great world to explore. Mario controls really well and there are platforming stages for people who want a better challenge.
All around the best mario with the most variety. Galaxy is just the floodless levels from Sunshine but stretched out into a full game. Odyssey looks like it will be the open world mario game we've always wanted.
>Puts in Wind Waker
>"WTF, WHERES MARIO, REEEEEEEE"
kek
>Wind Waker is the worst of the bunch though
>People who grew up with TP are now old enough to come on Sup Forums and defend it
Try again mate, my first Zelda was LttP.
2d zeldas>OoT=MM>TP>SS>>>>>>>>WW
I remember when Galaxy came out and everyone was praising it as "the true sequel to Mario 64", while I was a bit disappointed that it was so linear and lacking in exploration.
Camera control in Super Mario Sunshine isn't great, delfino is also very boring aesthetically, the aesthetic is tiring due to every level being based around a tropical landscape.
>TP and SS
>Pieces of shit with bad combat, bad dungeons, and bad overworlds
>Better than a piece of shit with bad combat, bad dungeons, and okay overworld.
WW is infinitely more tolerable because at the very least it's shit dungeons and combat aren't the focus of the game.
>43 out of 120 shines are red/blue coin collecting
>100% reward is just a screenshot of characters posing
>FLUDD handholds your every jump by giving you a 5-second hover
>there's multiple missions where you have to do cleaning chores
>extremely buggy at times like the pachinko level and the hotel casino
>repeated bosses, and it's not like the level changes when that happens
>horrendous voice acting
>obligatory, repetitive shadow mario chases in every single world
>only good parts are ironically the ones without FLUDD, the game's main gimmick, these parts being the regular platforming ones, this is also where the only challenge of the game comes from because there's no postgame
It always has been.
I remember being miserable playing it most of the time and after I beat the final boss someone in my dorm watching said "that's it"? Mostly in response to bowser being the same shit 3 times in a row like 64.
I remember playing sunshine immediately after and enjoying it much more
