I'm playing that Battle Cats 3DS game.

I've been playing the yugioh zexal game but it's kind of shit. The story mode is gay (partly because the series peaked with 5d's) but also because of how fucking slow the gameplay is. Even with everything set to the fastest, it takes like 30 seconds from draw phase to end phase even if you do nothing. Someone please tell me there's nothing worth continuing for so I can drop it and move on

What's the difference on getting an 3DS R4 and hacking the machine instead?

Got a 2DS a couple of weeks ago for 85€ brand new.

Been playing animal crossing and happy home designer. There are no more 3DS games worth playing as far as I can see.

Maybe I'll get my own NFC writer and blank NFC cards to make my own amiibos.

Also, is the hacking finally fail proof? I mean, the downgrade on N3DS is still a gamble on bricking? I remember doing it back when 10.30 was a thing or whatever and I clenched my asshole all the time because of the birck boogie man.

if you follow the guide, you won't brick. It's very, very hard to brick but I won't say it's impossible because one retard does it at least once a month

What do you think about buying a 2DS instead of a O3DS or N3DS? It's cheaper, but does it have any downside other than that?

very much so. 2DS uses O3DS hardware, which is beyond outdated. Some games are borderline unplayable because of how weak it is, and even then they might struggle on n3ds but at least you aren't getting 10fps

So N3DS or bust. If money is an issue, the n2ds uses the n3ds hardware but it remains to be seen how it measures up in other regards. Honestly, though, I'd say the n3DS XL is worth the money

I hacked my 3DS a while ago and it's still on 11.2. Is it safe to update to the newest firmware? I've been ignoring all the firmware update messages for quite a while. What homebrew stuff do I need to update first?

The battery life kind of sucks on the old 2ds models, but it is a lot cheaper and feels great to hold.
The 3 other games that are playable on the "new" models aren't really worth it when the entire library is fucking great. Hyrule warriors is kinda fucking boring desu

I kinda remember that because I used to play MH4U with my friend and while I had the N3DS XL Upscaled resolution, his O3DS with normal resolution used to struggle during fights and have terrible framerate during anything life threatening, meanwhile my machine did a splendid job keeping it cool and sometimes even at 60 FPS; Time to jew some money I guess

It's safe, however 11.4 doesn't allow gba or snes injections to work unless you get the nightly build off of github.

Vita hacking isn't nearly as open-shut as 3DS. You'll be locked into 3.60 or lower games and no online. If your goal is simply to hack it, it's not worth it, but I'd recommend a vita regardless of whether you intend to hack it or not

Also don't ever put your 3ds in sleep mode when you're on 2.1 firmware or you will brick it.
