Sup Forums needs to stop hating on Kotaku. Their articles are relatable to the human reader. The only reason why anyone could hate their articles would be if the reader is not a human being with emotions.
>kotaku.com
At the end of the article, you see can see a small :( face. No major gaming news site would be human enough to include something like this.
>b-but I like stoic articles that do not appeal to my emotions!
Leave the net and go attend a summer camp, robot.
Nothing Kotaku

Fuck your feelings, i want honesty
If I wanted to see shit stolen from reddit, I'd go to reddit.
Yet they are always honest and funny at the same time?
Half the time they don't even post about videogames
>inb4 Sup Forums
Mods still lay down the hammer when that shit happens though.
If I wanted banter with my gaming news, I'd just go to Twitter or watch Guru Larry.
That sounds like any site but Slotaku
...
Go away, shitaku employee.
Kotaku and Polygon are the worst, with Polygon being THE worst. Always shoving political correctness into the conversation about fucking video games.
I like some of their opinion pieces, usually the ones about JRPGs. They don't have many, but they always seemed pretty helpful and decently well written
That tranny they have writing for them is looking worse every time I see it. How does it do it?
>Leave the net and go attend a summer camp, robot.
I check the catalog here to catch the tail end of things, if I HAVE to go to their site, I'll use archive so they don't get ad revenue but easily get what I need reading other gaming blogs like Siliconera for Japanese games and Gamespot for everything else, not that it's my only choice mind you.
There's plenty of options that stick to videogames instead of blogs random shit happening in Japan you can find on RocketNews or Sankaku Complex with less fluff.
When you think about it, Kotaku is just more of a commentator site than a news site. It's almost always lifting from a source like any other news site, so the thing you think makes them special is either the comments section or you somehow think the writers there are entertaining peppering shit with their own cringeworthy sense.
The "cart before the horse" act was what nearly ALL game magazines and early IGN did and they put that to a stop for a good reason, it's offputting to modern kids watching late 30s-mid 40s men trying to be hip and those who grew up playing videogames are sick of bullshit and just want the cold hard facts, not someone's self-affirming blog and poorly researched views.
So in the end, you're just shilling for nu-men beings and fatty Patty who just aren't that good at their jobs, let alone maintaining professionalism.
>"If you don't like X then you are Y"
Sorry faggots, you've been trying that same lame ass shit since august 2007.
>didn't work then
>isn't working now
Go update your ethics policy scumbags.
nice thread, op

That's not a website
Apex faggotry
even setting aside their whiny didactic bullshit, they aren't good at playing or reviewing video games, their articles are uninteresting and suck from a technical writing perspective, they're also often full of bad translation, incorrect information and almost no independent investigation that doesn't come from some other source
I doubt a university would have a course that requires you to go a website full of offensive material and engage in some vain attempt to disrupt conversation.
