Was anyone into these?
I used to love them when I was a kid. Chamber of Secrets was my first PS2 game.

Hell yeah my dude, the sorcerers stone for pc was my shit.
I played CoS on PC as a kid. It has one of the best menu themes I've come across.

I played the first two on my computer and the third on, I think, the 360. Very good.
Flipendo!
Also flying around Hogwarts on a broom.
Comfylvls over 9000
I had fun with the first PS1 harry potter game, I think it was my second or third game i ever owned
PoA for PS2 was fun, i liked flying around hogwarts on buckbeak
The only one I ever played was Sorcerer's Stone on PC. It was fucking dope.
I know the PC version, console version, and handheld version of all the Harry Potters are completely different though.
I had CoS on PC and a friend had it on PS2 and asked for advice playing but he didn't know the version were completely different
I've played a few, but I never managed to finish Sorcerers Stone on the PS1. I never found out how to progress once you are trapped in the roots/thorny vines things.
Has anyone played the turn-based rpg Chamber of Secrets on Gameboy Color?
I find it fascinating how many different versions there were of SS and CoS. Both had an entirely separate studio working on 5 different versions: PC, PS1, PS2/NGC/Xbox, GBC, and GBA.
Man I remember getting the GBA ver of Sorcerer's stone and it being a shitty adventure game, meanwhile the GBC got a cool rpg.
I think even the publisher knew the GBC games were superior and had the devs make a Prisoner of Azkaban game in that style on the GBA since the GBC had been discontinued.
Remember one level running away from a troll being hell (not sure which game) and also quidditch world cup being the shit
Philosophers Stone, PC, GBC, Sixth gen
Chamber of Secrets, PC, GBC, Sixth gen
Prisoner of Azkaban,PC=CUBE, PS2,GBA
Order of the Phoenix
Quidditch World Cup
Played a bootleg version that was pretty rad.
Chamber of Secrets on PS2 was an alright adventure game. Competent is the best word I can use to describe it.
Quiddich World Cup is basically an expansion of the Quiddich mini game in SoC and pretty much all the Hogwarts assets are reused. Not that much to it but still a good time overall.
Fuck Sorcerer's Stone on GBA
>that art
Huh I kinda forgot that Harry and Hermione aren't supposed to look like super models.
>Man I remember getting the GBA ver of Sorcerer's stone and it being a shitty adventure game
I had it too. When I was a dumb kid I fucking loved it! I tried it out again a few years ago and about killed myself.
>Harry
>Supermodel
How fugly are you?
I remember the Chamber of Secrets game being 100x harder than the first one.
> and also quidditch world cup being the shit
I read this as
> and also quidditch world cup being shit
And I thought I was going to have to smack a bitch
I mean it's been so long since I've seen their mostly normal looking artwork appearances.
Super model was referring to their actors.
>Anyone in the movie looking like supermodels
user please, either you are surrounded by very ugly people or have never seen an actual beautiful person. Everyone in those movies was average as fuck, not ugly not pretty, but normal. Yes Emma Watson is an average looking bitch get over it. Daniel Radcliffe is a fucking manlet and the guy who played Ron is ginger and you can't get any worse than that.
>Super model was referring to their actors.
Seriously, How fugly are you?
The entire soundtrack of the first three games was GOAT thanks to Jeremy Soule.
HOLY FUCK started watching the movies for the first time this week and was thinking about asking Sup Forums what games were worth playing today
*Apparates behind you*
Pssh, nothin' personal, muggle.
AVADA KEDAVRA!

Redpill me on which games are actually fun
The first three on PC/PS2 were GOAT, CoS on GBA was GOAT, everything else was shit.
Philosophers Stone, PC, GBC, Sixth gen
Chamber of Secrets, PC, GBC, Sixth gen
Prisoner of Azkaban,PC=CUBE, PS2,GBA
Order of the Phoenix
Quidditch World Cup
>2017
>There are people who haven't seen HP movies
Not saying they are good before some idiot assumes that's what I mean. It's just pretty fucking hard to believe someone this day and age hasn't seen this movies, did you not have friends? Do you live in some 3rd world shit hole were the first theater just opened up?
GBC Philo stone is a superfun RPG with tons of secrets, hidden passages et cetera. Plus there's a lot of replay potential to try and collect all the WizardCards (which you can also use before new playthroughs to for instance, keep all your learned spells)
PC Philo stone is great, it's just a linear sequence of levels but the sections themselves are great and often have neat hidden stuff.
PC CoS is amazing, it has a more openworld approach to hogwarts where you can unlock more of it the farther you get in the story / more spells you learn. The levels you can access are still great, and gameplay is a bit less clunky than Philo Stone.
Absolutely loved Philosopher's Stone and CoS for PC and GBC
This is truth. The shit floors me every time I replay CoS. The parts where you should feel tense or full of wonder probably wouldn't have even worked without Soule.
Pretty good bruh

Some people like spending time watching movies, I like to spend time playing video games.
I wait for that great Gatsby fanboy...
>Redpill me
It's been about a decade for all of these, but I've played:
>Sorcerer's Stone on GBA & PS2
>CoS on GBC & PS2
>PoA on PS2
>GoF on NDS
I've heard great things about the PC games, but from my limited perspective, the first two PS2 games are objectively average but subjectively god tier if you're already a fan of the books/movies. If you're a fairweather fan, don't even worry about it.
Is Lego Harry Potter worth playing?
Soule's music makes console CoS worth it. It gives a totally different perspective on the HP world from Williams that's really interesting.
Steam says it has a lot of bugs, I'm waiting for a good sale
Again, only if you REALLY like LEGO games and Harry Potter. If you've already played your fair share of LEGO games, don't bother.
If you're like me, and have been super into Harry Potter for the majority of your life, they're great and well worth checking out.
The GBC ones were fucking great. I fucking loved em' when I was a kid.
this is clearly the best harry potter game
I played the shit out of these
my wife is a huge HP fangirl and these are pretty much the only videogames she plays,
I recently set up the first 3 on her laptop and she played through all 3 in one weekend
I loved the first pc game and completed it so many times, I owned the second but for some reason it got stuck at the huge spider part where the music and animation looped endlessly and couldn't progress further. Besides only getting to play the second game once, I didn't like all the changes compared to the first one, as a kid I was greatly bothered by the inconsistencies between the first and second game like the map and outdoors.
seconding this
>people with wives post on Sup Forums
Huh. I'm surprised, but good for you man.
I've only played the PC versions of the first two. Should I try the console versions or the 3rd PC one?
You should already know about Sup Forums's 'wifes'.
>been here since ~Feb '04
>started dating Jan '07
>it's almost that time again
i've lost control of my life
There are more of us than you think. I started coming here at 19 in 2006. Most of the first gen oldfags are in our 30s.
Played PS on GBC, CoS on PS1 and PoA on GBA
pure magic arry
The two game boy color ones are great.
