Prey 2 still would have been better

I'm sure it's good but I'll pick it up cheap because I've got other shit to play.

Also fuck Bethesda's review/release policy

>it's not shit?
Yes, it's pretty good
>Prey 2 still would have been better
Nah, Bethleaker confirmed it was boring empty open world meme game.

I can get behind that sentiment. It's a neat concept to say the least.

Anyone fully figured out the recycling system?

I just got the psychoscope. So not sure how far in I am. But from what I know there doesn't seem to be to much to recycling. Put junk and extra weapons in. Get material out. Use material in the printer things. Pretty straight foward unless I'm missing something.

I mean like which combinations are people finding to work the best?

My main problem at the moment is ammo. If I can find the right combinations for the best ammo, I should be fine.

Thats it. Also if you divide one of the 4 material types into nine items in the recycler you can get unlimited materiak

My only issue is the enemy types are getting a bit Old. You have 1) totatly not head crabs 2) infected flying boxes 3) human shadows. Hope it gets mixed up a bit more as the game progress.

Material*

What kind of ammo? Right now I have to much 9mm and goo. Making shotgun ammo is a bit harder.

it's an amazing game, really well made and had a lot of thought put into it.

nah it's shit

Is it a glitch? How do I do this?

they released a demo of the first 1-2 hours, autist. why don't you try it and form your own opinion.

Care to tell us why?

I'll be the first to admit there could've been better areas, like making the shooting a little bit better and actually rewarding stealth.

Generic games getting high praise. Wew, I've seen everything.

I'm loving it so far. The aesthetic and atmosphere is fucking fantastic. This 1960's wood paneling and tech mixed with art deco and gold trim is so fucking stylish to look at. I'm really loving exploring and the story. Combat isn't that interesting though, the enemies just aren't that satisfying to fight and there's not much variety. Good game overall, enjoying it a lot.

It is a glitch. For example if you have 5.0 organic material, you put it in the recycler and then you click the option to divide(r3 on ps4) and you divide it into 9 parts. Go hit the recycle button and you'll have 3 times as much material. I can post evidence in a few minutes when I start playing again

honestly looks pretty generic. doesnt really do anything new.
why play this when i could go play bioshock or system shock or dishonored? what new stuff does it bring to the table from a gameplay perspective that isnt obnoxious (like stupid skill trees that block pathways and restrict freedom for stupid reasons and jumpscares for dumb horror)?

Cool. Does it work for pc?

According to polygon (I know they're awful) it works on pc as well. Its pretty much a way to get all the power ups and have a cheat code save file and since it will probably be patched out it'll be nice to have a save file that's overpowered.

Mimics are a great enemy type, glue gun is pretty good to play around with, it's got very nice aesthetics described and it's got the Arkane style of progress.

recycling and fabricating items, realistic physics, so much freedom in how you explore and approach things, etc

just tested it, it works

not something you should do on your first playthrough though

Cant find the tech officer on the outside of talos if you get this quest your fucked

Not on PC

you do know that you can search every person by name via every security pc available

did you conveniently forget Steam lets you refund games?

The very first mods I got were the high mobility and hacking ones, bunnyhopping and sliding all day while surprise critting shit wrench.
Also being able to reach pretty much any area is neat.
Protip: getting the mod which lets you harvest typhoon tumors and increased recycle yield is highly recommended early, you can craft neuromods yourself 30 minutes into the game if you explore a bit and find the shematic in the very first area.

Is there any connection whatsoever to the first?

just want until you get a module that lets you double jump, that shit is fun as fuck

no, other than the idea of being in space and being attacked by aliums

no, none at all

i absolutely adore both games, but naming them both exactly the same was still a stupid decision

you've been here how long exactly?

The last two threads I've seen were "apologize"

I know people are autistic with their purchases and will never admit to saying they bought a shit game, despite the fact they can get a refund on steam, but still, the rest of us realize you're a fucking retard who should have killed himself days ago

what would you call this game

Prey makes sense, but i'm curious what else it could be

So is anyone else getting texture load issues on PC?

Yes occasionally. One of the best optimized AAA games in a while but occasionally I'll hit an area where my fps drops. You half and texture load is noticebly slow. What's wierd is when I'm in these areas turning the setting down have to little to no affect.

they would've lost the ip of they didn't
prey is a catchy title too, unfortunately the game got a lot of undeserved flak because of it

Bring Tommy back

So what did you guys do?
I've reycled him into some sweet neuromod fuel AND got into the armory thanks to hacking, if he really regrets his crimes this is his just punishment.

Did this turn out to be true?

i rescued him for the trophy.

Anyone stuck on The Repo Man quest to find Dahls tech? Says he's outside but I've searched for about 3 hours and gave up.

Doesn't work for this NPC

Can't you track people through security terminals?
I've never used it but it literally puts a marker on your hud if you click the name.

i didn't read all of that shit, but the ending is true. it doesn't suck though, the game and story are fantastic

>trophy

What trophy?
Some gay ass achievment or something?

Hi Sup Forums.
I'm into Life Support right now but can't go back to other levels because Alex shut the access of the station.
Will I be able to go back to other levels or is it path to the end?

can you screenshot the quest?

i've completed the game pretty much 100% save for the "find 6 hidden location" one and i don't remember having any trouble finding a dude on the outside

Alright thanks

yes you will be able to revisit everything

i'm not even sure if it's halftime of the game yet at where you are

gamepur.com/guide/26599-prey-chapter-4-restore-backup-repo-man-and-key-kingdom-walkthrough.html

It's random btwn like 4 locations and one is outside the station. I checked reddit and one person said he was above the cargo hold breach and a red light shows where Kaspars is. Problem is there are 300 of those fucking redlights.

Nice.
I don't know I'm 15 hours in or something but I feel like I missed a lot of things in some levels especially GUTS and the Exterior because of fucking cystoids.

How does zero-g work in this game, is it on par with the dead space series?

>We are all agreed it's not shit?
Yes but it was obvious since the first time we saw the game that it was going to be good.
>Prey 2 still would have been better
Of course, open-world by small and almost unknown devs are often good

100% true detail wise, but this guy either has really bad taste OR he just saw really rough builds of the game and didn't expect them to pull it together in the end.

is it best to play this on PC? is the ps4 version shit?

Ward

ps4 pro version is unoptimized, no pro enhancements at all. and there's a noticeable input lag.

i'm having fun with it an all, but i'm sure it runs as smooth as butter on PC.

I CAN'T PIRATE IT SO IT'S SHIT

Dont support deJEWvo guys it melts your hard drive and takes away FPS!!!!!!!

3770, 1080ti
I somehow am getting occasional dips on High preset with latest drivers. Sad really.

>tfw zero fps drops while having everything maxed out on 780ti with 2014 drivers

Why do people update their drivers again?

Weird. Is the 3770 a shit cpu? I have a i5 4670 and a 1070, everything max @ 1440p and the game runs at a rock solid 90-120fps

Trauma center, I killed the thing that was walking around, did I do right or have I messed somehting?

im having zero drops with a 1070, didn't even update my drivers

constant 100+ fps

I've got a 3570k and 1080 Ti, perfectly smooth 60FPS at 4k with everything maxed out.

Cpu isn't getting anywhere near maxed. Running it in 4k. It seems to be at 60fps+ for the majority of times

On the latest driver, I should specify. With the one before that it had massive drops all over the place in the opening apartment scene.

the fire dude?

it's fine, that one's just one of the stronger enemies, you'll meet those guys a few more times as you go

Rescued him because fuck it, station has gone to shit and I'm becoming an alium so I might as well hold onto human kindness.

I'm having fun with it, but god damn the enemies are all bullet sponges and they deal way too much damage.

I'm getting real fucking tired of walking into a room and encountering 3 ayy lmao's shooting exploding orbs at me while I have no fucking ammo to deal with them.

Even with ammo your attacks only deal like 5-10 damage a shot with a pistol and 20-30 damage with a shotgun at close range. Meanwhile I take two hits and I'm dead.

Just got to the garden area and there's nowhere to even go because all of my options have enemies way too strong for me to handle right at the start and no way around them.

It was mostly during the apartments as well for me. You'd think they'd polish the first 15 minutes of the game

I had a weird issue where the game crashed, and then when I booted it back up it was running 40 FPS less then it normally does (Normally runs at 130 FPS on GTX 1080 SLI/4790k overclocked), and had really bad frame pacing where there was lag.

At first I thought it was a new effect that became more common in the game, but I reloaded a earlier save and it was doing the same thing. Rebooted, same thing. I uninstalled my Nvidia driver, reinstalled it, and rebooted and it worked.

No idea what the hell happened. Happened like 3 hours ago and it is working fine now.

Cool, thanks, for some reason I'm always thinking this game is a stealth, no kill, game a la Dishonored 2, when it's clearly not.

It was probably due to the large amount of Looking Glass stuff going on in the opening, though like I said driver update completely fixed the drops for me.

You mean the glider?

>station goes to shit
>set criminals free into total chaos so they can go steal, murder and rape again
>he dindu nuffin, he a good boy, hel'll become talo's number 1 scientist you'll see!

Moralfags are more dangerous than criminals.

Leak said 2 was pretty empty with its open world, and desu I kind of prefer maze-like corridors like SS2 level design instead of completely open worlds.

I'm still split on the ending. Did any of the events on Talos 1 actually happen? There's a few questions I think it leaves unanswered.

More like giving him another chance, with all the aliens around he doesn't have much of a chance anyway.

Nothing proves he'll go off to kill people again.

It's pretty good. You can go outside the space station and float around its entire exterior, and there's some nice ant-grav situations like when you have to go grab that hard drive from Life Support.

I'm playing on ps4. It's good for the most part, but there's some texture pop-in

a suit module or whatever they're called that lets your glider boost you upwards for a second

but you have pretty justifiable cause to think that he will

I rescued him,
the next time I saw him he already get killed by the mimics.

There's no certainty, letting a guy have a chance to survive is better than fucking executing him even if he's a criminal.

Basic human decency isn't being a moralfag.

>Play on normal
>Fight phantom for the first time
>Get my shit pushed in

Refreshingly challenging for normal mode, actually. I imagine nightmare mode is fucking havoc.

It's shit but Prey 2 would have been worse.

Everything leads me to believe that you are actually a typhon strapped to that chair playing out implanted memories in your mind the entire time. In the real world the Apex Typhon already appeared and went to Earth, and the original Morgan was unable to either set off the Nullwave device or blow the reactor.

What a waste, you get 13 exotic materials if you let the mimics do their thing in the cell.

On hard a normal mimic attack deals like 30 damage with fully repaired suit.
I got 2 shot by phantoms.
You really need mobility II for the harder settings or you won't survive.

So in the crew quarters,
Can you still kill the impersonator after you escaped the freezer?
I knew he was a faker since the beginning but just go along with it to see what's the deal is, but he is now nowhere to be seen

Well yeah, you're a typhon with human implant in a recreation of what the guy experienced on talos, but that doesn't explain what exactly happened with morgan or what happened on earth.

That will probably be explained in the sequel :))))))))))))

>$60 demo
Only retards would pay for a demo.

there's one computer in the volunteer quarters (in the area you start in) that can track these russian "volunteers"

However you don't find out his volunteer ID number until someone tells it to you, I think Danielle Sho or the security chief. I wonder though if you already know his number you can just track him down faster, and if he will be in a different place. I didn't track him down until getting out of Deep Storage so he had been free for a while and when I finally got around to finding him he was sitting in an escape pod on the bridge waiting for me with a primed recycler.

i mean how it's done mechanically, can you freely rotate around any axis, is there a button to return to "base orientation" quickly, do things keep momentum when you push them?

yes, no(and it can get quite confusing at times), yes

You can "roll" during zero g with the lean buttons, but no there's no "allign to horizon" button.
And yes you keep momentum like you are supposed to with no friction.

Im always lacking on metal for the fabricator. Wheres the best place to get some?

That's good enough, thanks
