>he fell for the VR meme
He fell for the VR meme
Days without Jewish Tricks: 0
Fuck Zuck
I always knew VR was going to fail. So to that one user who called me retarded for thinking VR was just a fad, eat my shorts.
Guess he needed to push more Hawaiians off his lawn.
rofl. cuckerburg is just starting to realize he spent 2bi on vaporware
>tfw the best VR game in history is resident evil until a long time in the future.
>Palmer fucking sold an idea for billions of dollars
Lucky isn't only his last name
>tfw never got vr because too paranoid about people looking at screen and seeing my weird stuff
Ebin. It literally pays to be autistic
>all those retards thinking they're smart for going against the hivemind
Every thread a sucker is born.
>Mark "Normiebook" Zuckerberg
Mark Suckerberg can have all the money he wants and fail everything.
>movie studio
wow
>VR is dying
Isn't this a good thing? We need less movies. More games.
It certainly isn't growing.
Then get a PSVR
will there ever be a day when the vocal minority that got BTFO will come out and admit their defeat instead of remaining silent or pretending they were joking?
I love Hiyori!
>closingg the only potential non meme ue of the gadget
are they really this out of touch? VR mask could have replaced 3D glasses and offer real immertion instead of shitty "pops in front of you" gimmic.
I want to impregnate Wendy.
Except it hasn't failed, you're still retarded. There are so many things that will be used with VR in the coming years that you're going to feel like a fucking moron who was dropped on his head.
Maybe, but it's incredibly fun. The cost of the tech and development is what's holding it back at the moment.
>We need less movies. More Games
Next user says
>Then get PSVR
>Ironically supporting Sony, the king of making movie games
That's a terrible post man. This doesn't help games on VR at all. Think before you type, jesus.
Its to goddamn early for vr. Video game npc ai is pretty much non existent, and VR looks like shit anyway.
>shut down movie studio
>now have more funds to allocate to a game studio
You're dumb.
Oculus definitely failed.
t. zuckerberg
The Virtual Boy has more games than VR does today. In fact, VB could have been really cool if not for the eye strainingly bad color choice.
He said VR, not oculus.
Ever since they took down ShitPostBot 5000's main page because of a funny meme being generated, or when they started taking down the optical illusion of that duck which looked like it was on fire, I've always hated Cuckerburg. Fuck FaceBook.
The only thing VR needs to gain unprecedented popularity is being cheap, dirt cheap. It has potential but the money barrier is keeping it down.
just a prank bro :^)
It's all the same worthless gimmicky shit, who cares?
This is the stupidest thing I have read in a very, very long time.
That's not as bad as it could have been
It doesn't need to be cheap, it just needs to be affordable.
Retards like you who spout buzzwords are all the same worthless shits.
That and there isn't a single full length game that you can sell normies on needing a VR headset for.
the cost of tech and software development wouldn't be a problem if VR was consumer friendly.
>need VR ready PC
regular consumer doesn't even know what that even means. they own Macbooks or don't give a shit about what GPU is on their PC.
>needing to be tethered near you PC
>all games look like tech demos
>some software are exclusive to just one VR headset....
how is this even going to take off?
porn can only do so much
>going to TrashBook for the latest epic hot memes
Upvoted bro!!!!!!!
Posted from my iMac g3
Your tears are delicious. Still, they won't make VR any less gimmicky, sorry.
>bought out
>gutted and marked up in price considerably
>before making any content for the machines you skidaddle and drop everything
wow
How can it die if it was never alive in the first place?
delusion is a mental disease.
Stillborn.
valve can milk it until the end of times
Normies eat up anything that is popular or "interesting", many people have asked me about VR, they are very interested in trying it, they even sound excited when they talk about experiencing the tech demos, if they come up with a cheap VR set the market will explode, just like the Wii and Wii Sports even old people will buy it.
You can't milk something that doesn't produce any milk.
Loss VR edit where?
>VR is dea-
I was interested in VR. And then I tried it.
Can't make that up.
Oculus =/= VR but they were the ones putting the most money into dedicated games for their platform.
Better controllers too. Playing Vive games with Touch controllers also feels clunky because half the functionality isn't there.
I'm not following normie pages. I'm following pages from people who likely shitpost here, along with anime shitposting.
>cost of tech and software development wouldn't be a problem if VR was consumer friendly
>one of the consumer unfriendly aspects is needing an expensive PC
Not having VR capable machines just lying around for most customers IS the cost of tech, user.
>you will head pat this in VR
Jesus fucking Christ.
literally the only reason to own a ps4
That thing looks like an AYYYYYY.
VR is cool but zuck is out there actively killing it, every decision oculus has made after the fb buy out has been underwhelming, only valve can save vr now but they too need to get their shit together and release a higher res set at an affordable price which is much easier said than done
Price alone isn't gonna make the thing any less cumbersome to use. Or any less pointless. Nor is it gonna solve motion sickness problems either. Just let it die.
You sure about that?
yeah oculus died the moment facebook touched it (thank god it did, because a platform operated by facebook would be terrible)
i think the valve vr might do well, in 10 or so years once the userbase is built, similar to the way steam worked. although it still needs too much space to work, they have to change that
I was never interested in Wii Sports, I bought a Wii to play Smash, but friends and family really liked Wii Sports, up to this day they still want to play a few rounds of bowling.
>all these desperate kissless turboweebs struggling to ensure everyone that VR isn't dead
Just because it's your last ditch chance at getting to know a girl doesn't mean it won't fail user. Just let it go and get sterilized.
...
It's almost like if you were comparing 2 completely different things.
We don't care what you think normie. Go back to facebook.
Isnt valve making some system seller actively?
The cost of manufacturing individual vr units is reasonable ~200$, they're still expensive since they need to recoup rnd costs. Theres nothing inherently preventing them from becoming affordable in couple years.
...I'd still hit it.
>ITT: risk averse fence sitters and upper white middle class smug VR owners
boy it feels good to fence sit, but im not going to say 'i told you so' cause i really had no idea myself if it would take off or not
especially not with the prospect of porn
the moment they sold out to facebook it was dead in the water
And then you also need an expensive gaming rig of which only a very tiny minority of enthusiasts own.
Same, I'm the true definition of desperation
VR genuinely felt like it was going to take off prior to that.
I still remember coming here the day it happened.
The butthurt was incredible.
Did Henry the Hedgehog find his friends?
>you just can't afford it
>it's first generation technology it's not supposed to be good
>it has tons of uses just not video games (none citied)
>its actually really good people just arent making games for it yet
any others I'm missing?
>cant even articulate "LULZ U NERDS" without rambling like a fucking autist himself
for VR to be a success it would have needed to be an open platform so that anyone can develop for it with a full embrace of porn
>B-but VR w-won't be like 3D was
>VR will be more than just a meme
VR would be amazing for work place training for hazardous occupations yet I rarely see this talked about here.
...
Don't be rude.
Porn was one of the reasons why people hated it. They didn't want to be creepy permavirgins.
>VR would be amazing for work place training for hazardous occupations
how can you simulate dealing with hazardous machinery when you can't even touch anything in VR
All VR needs is the creativity of the game industry to come up with ideas that can exploit it's potential to the fullest to work.
Which means it is as dead as it can possibly be
It's called a controller.
You think that makes you any better?
>Porn was one of the reasons why people hated it
said no backer ever
They finally realized men only want VR for porn
Onr billion down the drain, fucking retards
>Porn was one of the reasons why people loved it.
fixed it
despite the indiefags trying to prove otherwise with their shitty Unity tech demos, people just want to do porn or play with virtual anime lolis on the VR
yeah no a controller isn't going to simulate you putting a limb in the wrong place and getting it cut off, maybe if you wore a motion capture suit but still, there's no feedback to actually touching something
>Porn was one of the reasons why people hated it. They didn't want to be creepy permavirgins.
that level of delusion could land you a job at kotaku
No controller is going to simulate burning to death or crashing either but they still use simulators on the air force.
tiny vr goggles that emulate computer monitors thats the future, augmented reality, not virtual reality, although virtual reality will be part of it. mark my fuckin words
>The cost of the tech and development is what's holding it back at the moment.
No it's not, it's the fact that's it's a hassle to set up and use and is inherently a very isolating way to experience things.
Normies couldn't even be convinced to put on a pair of glasses in front of their TV, how the hell they expected this to become popular enough is beyond me.
This was always going to be a peripheral like elaborate flight sim or racing setups. Strictly for mancaves or for nerds who live alone and can be bothered to set up a dedicated VR area, and that market is too small to develop for.
It's not a hardware problem, but a software problem.
>A company dedicated to VR films is shut down.
>Sup Forums jumps to conclusions that all VR is dead.
The only thing I liked from them was Dear Angelica because you were were looking around a 3D painting as it changed around you. Henry was just meh.
I still think VR movies will be around but people want interactivity.
I guess that Facebook popped the studio.
Sad!
i think weve still got a bit of a ways to go when it comes to the hardware for this shit, screen resolutions and that, altho i never tried google glass, google glass should not have been canned
