Anyone is going to try this game?

Coming out this summer
Battle Chasers
...
Maybe on the Switch or Steam. It depends on how long it is.
Maybe, you've made it this far you might as well try to sell it to me.
I will on PC for the mods.
>Battle Chasers only got like 9 issues
>Now it has a video game
Good for Joe Mad, even if he's not working on Darksiders 3.
>Western art
>Turn based like in JRPG
Unfortunately i didn't read the comic so i can't tell you anything about the story.
This looks familiar. Reminds me of an old cartoon.

lurk moar next time
Based off a 90s comic series.
It is
Welp, time to read up.
I'll probably get it for the switch for comfy bedtime combat. If mods make it worth it, I might double dip for pc because the devs seem cool and I want them to keep making games.
they will probably keep making them. This game was kickstart'ed.
Smugglers & thieves is amazing and fit its world.
It looks cool, but i'm not into turn based rpgs which is what this looks like, so probably not.
>Maybe on the Switch
That is why you fail
Mad go back to Nordic FUCK!
Joe Madureira is shit. He is only good at drawing other people's creations.
He has great skills, but TERRIBLE imagination.
His designs are messy, overly elaborated.
His work in Darksiders is deplorable.
The main character is a fucking mess. Too much shit, armor pieces, colors, layers of clothing above layers of clothing.
Joe Madureira has the imagination of a 12 year old. He thinks too much shit is good for a character design.
Why? This is the kind of game which will be good on a handheld like the switch.
Massive shit taste there. That's comics in general.
>too much going on
>guy doesn't even wear a shirt
Yes. That's why comics are garbage.
Terrible stories fueled by progressive propaganda, and art made by people with terrible taste or artistic vision.
Your point senpai?
>Joe Mad abandoned a decent series to play vidya all day
>Years long gaps between issues
Fuck off, Joe. Even Berserk didn't pull that shit.
terrible name, but i like the art
best girl
I was considering it but I'm passing on the game. The little I read about it makes it seem like the story is centered around the girl in the green cloak. I'm not interested in playing a game where the story revolves around some female.
>those leg pants
This shit is worst that the generic bulky blizzard warcraft designs.
Also, it is still a shitty design, but an improvement I give you that, compared to the main protagonist from the first game.
This is a great character design.
This is the different between someone with artistic sensibility and someone like Mad who draws with the imagination of a 12 year old who still listens to slipknot
A clean and slick design is the best choice. Subtly.
There is a way to know if you have a good character design, something that even Disney does all the time.
Make your character a silhouette and see if you can still recognize it.
The art in this is amazing in this and you have a massive shit taste. That's my point.
the dude who draws Bastard!!! is on Hiatus since 10 years now.

I don't care that Battle Chasers predates Blizzard or whatever, I hate the artstyle. Gameplay doesn't exactly wow me either.
...
Gameplay is old JRPG style. What do you bring Blizzard here?
How original
His best designs are copy pasta of superior work
Red Monika's design is copied off of herself, who knew?
When was this published? I only watched the anime.
This is Sup Forums, anything more than a t-shirt and clean pants with no belt is "overdesigned". Everything MUST be minimalistic.
I love fist fighters. Have a (you)
Red Monika is 1998 with battlechasers, Risty is 2005 with Quen's Blade.
Is the combat just the generic jrpg "find the attack that gives more damage, then repeat it while remembering to heal once in a while"?
Hmmm, this actually look bretty good.
How much is it gonna cost, shill-dono?
wait that's a girl?
interest instantly lost for this game
>How much is it gonna cost, shill-dono?
No idea. I will get the digital copy of the game since i backed it for 20$. You can't backed it anymore :^)
I didn't even know that the comic was still on-going. I remember reading it 15 or 20 years ago during the first few issues, but dropped it.
Art is by Joe Madureira
Y'know. That guy who did Darksiders?
...
Got that backwards, bubba-louie.
>Make your character a silhouette and see if you can still recognize it.
This is my favorite entry-level art criticism. They see it in a thread, think it's insightful, and then they repeat it ad nausea without understanding any other design principles.
It's like when retards use FPS to describe the fluidity of animation in cartoons and anime.
Yes? She is a child.
Wanna know the source of this hilariously idiotic meme?
Team Fortress 2 had a developer commentary mode. Some of the commentary was on the design process for the various classes in the game. A major point they emphasized was recognizable silhouettes because clarity/readability during frantic combat was a top priority.
So now we have a ton of morons who checked out the TF2 dev commentary and now think "muh silhouettes" is top tier video game art design advice that applies in every situation.
The most hilarious thing is that every character in this game has a distinctive silhouette.
It's a similar battle system to the CTB found in Final Fantasy X or Grandia III from the what i've seen in the gameplay trailer.
I don't play jrpg's. Is that a yes or a no?

That's all i know. Look at 3:30

...
>turnbased
>2017
What were they thinking??
>Jrpg combat
I like it. The art and music is nice too.
I'd give you shit about some blatant viral marketing but that doesn't actually look all that bad.
Plus if you're from Austin too.
Giant Mech, you have my attention good friend.
Honestly the style reminds me of Torchlight
Looks good enough and I don't mind turn based combat. Might give it a try, though I'm gonna wait and see if it's bugged beyond repair.
This.
That stance with that pelt is doing things to me.
Robot or person in armor? Okay with either but i must know!
Robot
Garen???
