Guys I'm 27 years old

Guys I'm 27 years old.
How do I git gud at this?

stop playing games you literal senior citizen

It's all about the mindset, man. You have to find your center, feel the mood, and in Bloodborne's case, embrace your inner psychopath.

Ask Nintenbros they seem to know a lot about the combat despite never playing it.

Learn to visceral attack and learn how to dodge to the left.

Just dodge and don't worry you have a crap load of healing.

waiting for the trophy guy

He'll be here soon. I believe in him.

Something something 10 days plats bra bra bra etc etc

Did I ever tell you about the time I platinumed Bloodborne in 10 days? It was the summer of 86....

dodge

find a job instead

Kill yourself

Bloodborne main problem is the ending can only be unlocked with a guide or internet help

>it took him 10 days to platinum a 20 hour game + 5 hours in chalice dungeons

AHAHAHA

Press the O button to become invincible.

But why?

>Bloodborne main problem is the ending can only be unlocked with a guide or internet help
Is this a joke? It only requires to use three consumable items that you find in the game(one is missable, which is why there are four in total). And to consume them before the endboss. Most people got the ending by default.

>Most people got the ending by default.
You mean most people looked up a guide and looked at trophies so they knew what to do before finishing the game, to get the ending by default.

There was a thread yesterday where it was determined OP was retarded for not realizing to eat the cords even when he had 3

>It only requires to use three consumable items that you find in the game
which no one will ever remember to eat 3 cords during the game because of the total of 4, 2 are very hard to find.

>Looked at a guide
I'm pretty sure most people were able to find the Lecture hall, it's only told to you in game where it is.

38yo here. Spent 8 hours treating bb like witcher 3. Just get used to dying and learn how to gun parry. Also saw cleaver and pistol. And run to the first boss, get an insight and grind away a few levels

Another big problem of Bloodborne is the lack of performance patch
Instead of making patches (like Team Ninja) the Team decided to use the money to start the next game.
It's a shady business practice even though Fromsoft is not that a bad company.

* spent 8 hours treating bb like witcher 3 before throwing the book out and learning the mechanics of bb and getting gud

>You mean most people looked up a guide and looked at trophies so they knew what to do before finishing the game, to get the ending by default.
I mean that most people actually use consumable items they have in their inventory.

You have to adopt this as your moto.

The two "very hard" ones can literally be found by luck if you are lazy just don't check on the NPC's till the final time change to nightmare. Both will be prego and well shit, the game has only been foreboding birth for the entire game.

it's not as bad as Dark Souls 3 but still hiding an ending like that is bad. It's way better if they lock the ending using other methods such as hard difficulty or hiding an item in a level right before the final scene.

>27
It's fucking nothing

But there have been several patches, what the fuck are you talking about? I mean, the performance still isn't stellar, but you can't just lie and say they took the money and ran if we've had several patches since the game came out.

>hard difficulty in a game with no difficulty setting
...How are you playing on easy?

If From gave a nice discount on the guide I wouldn't complain but paying more than 30 bucks to be able to know how to get the ending is just a horrible design choice.

They didn't even bother to include a bundle with a guide.

>secret ending is secret
>WHY IS THIS SECRET SO SECRET
You do know there are two other endings for people who didn't find the cords, right?

I'm not saying they took the money and left the game but they could have released a much improved version. Last Guardian is the same situation, they fixed the game but still could have fixed a lot more.
Both Last Guardian and Bloodborne could have achieved 30fps stable if they hired a 3rd party company to look at the code.
Patch 1.08 and 1.09 don't improve anything it only fixes some items.

>376230020

>You're welcome to use whatever you find. ...Even the doll, should it please you...

What did he mean by this?

It's just an example you retard.
Which makes the situation worse because you actually need a guide to know there are 3 endings. If they didn't include any ending by default it would be much better at least it shows they had a reason to hide the real ending.
If From gave a nice discount on the guide I wouldn't complain but paying more than 30 bucks to be able to know how to get the ending is just a horrible design choice. They didn't even bother to include a bundle with a guide.

Weak b8

>Retarded example
You should have seen it coming dumbass.

I'm 28, stop sucking.

>game has been foreboding birth
>"better eat these 3 umbilical cords then"

What kind of leap of logic is that? I swear soulsborne cucks are delusional as fuck, anybody who found and ate those umbilical cords and got the right ending because of it had absolutely no idea what they were doing and just got lucky. There is no hint that it's what you're supposed to do.

The lecture hall is a required progress point but killing Iosefka after Rom, finding the hidden workshop, or rescuing Arianna and then finding her bastard baby are not things all players would instantly know to do were it not for the internet.

Read the notes in the lecture hall, left by the developers. They tell you that you need three third cords. What the fuck else were you gonna do with them? Do you have no brain, did you not read notes?

By the time you see that note you could have already missed out on Iosefka and Arianna's cords.

to make things worse the publisher of Bloodborne guide used to sell for 60 bucks now it's 28

Anyway, if Fromsoft removes that kind of kikery in the next game I'll be happy to buy day 1 edition full price

Messages in the lecture hall, both found in the same room

>The game operates on shared knowledge
You didn't see the notes on the group for the workshop saying "Hidden/secret ahead!" The other two, yeah. Those are quest decisions. I never took any blood from Arianna and kept talking to npcs so I ended up getting her bastard kid, was kinda hard to miss the blood trail. Iosefka's is fucking obscure as shit and that is given, I explored that area in subsequent playthroughs and literally left when she asked so she could finish her research (I also sent every npc there for lols) went back and lo' and behold, 4th cord. It's not they they were expecting you to get the hidden ending on the 1st play-through. Which half these autistic fucks are whining about.

>note literally just says "the three cords"

Yeah they basically spell it out for you, you'd have to be retarded not to see that this means you must consume 3 hard to find items to unlock the true ending.

Second message, same room. And no, you can't miss Arianna's cord, and an extra was included so it doesn't matter if you missed the miss able one

>This
/Thread

>using gamesfaq, youtube or wiki to find hidden stuff in a game is good
Said no one ever.

Dodge into the attacks, not away. Use gun to parry when enemies are in mid-swing, not when they are winding up.

You are now good at Bloodborne.

>I'm 27 years old
And that matters how?

Maybe if you just played the game you would realize there's other endings? How do you think the people who wrote the guides did it you lazy sack of shit?

I'm 34 and it's really not that hard - in fact, it was the most fun I had with a game in 2015.
>mfw I'm literally playing as Peter Cushing

>said no one ever
Including the person you responded to, the notes in the lecture hall are incredibly easy to find, they're either in or near the room you spawn in

Neither did I, would be nice is Fromsoft didn't think that

Roll towards the direction of the attack. That's it. You are now guaranteed success on every souls enemy.

OP here, I was getting to thinking that I'm just too old to be good at BB.

>"The three cords"
ThisSounds like you just used a guide user, from the beginning.

I know it's probably incredibly disgusting to ask at this point but what weapons does anyone recommend I start with in the beginning?

Saw cleaver

I'd say the hunters axe 2handed

I've only gotten better at games as I've gotten older. No excuse faggot, just PRACTICE

Hunters Axe

Used it my whole time playing until I found the whirligig

Saw cleaver for the serrated damage boost and quickness. If you go with axe, the 2 handed L2 and charged R2 attacks are real killers. Spin2win.

If it's your first run, use a Strength build and use the Hunter's Axe. Most of the Strength-based weapons are good, so if you prefer another one, stick with that.

Keep in mind with the axe, it attacks fairly slow which can be a weak point in BB. Just keep your distance and use the 2h.

why am i getting a connection error has this thread been pruned?

it has to be near the end of summer or October halloween style.

You have to watch: Dagon, from beyond, the call of cthulhu 2005, possession and In the mouth of madness both featuring sam neil, dead of night 1945 (italian with english subtitles), the bay, and mad max fury road.

You need to eat fish tacos and if at all possible jerk of to tentacle content on /d/. Weigh less than 205 lbs make at least 60k annual. Have a tolerance for lactose and at least an hour a day to play some jolly co-op.

If you do these things you will get good at bloodbjorne. You may even find yourself becoming what the children refer to as "woke" just remember the old adage

>you can't miss Arianna's cord
If you never talked to her before the blood moon you cannot get her cord. If she gets killed by Adella or the afflicted beggar, you cannot get her cord.

27 years old is way past the prime age of gaming so never ever.

>ugh why is optional content not mandatory

that's you, that's your complaint

That's not me at all, I'm pointing out that it's absurd to act like everyone just automatically will find everything in Bloodborne on their first playthrough. I personally like that it rewards experimentation and exploration and was totally fine with the cord mechanic. I am simply stating that it's not nearly as obvious without a guide as someone on Sup Forums that played with a guide thinks.

>act like everyone just automatically will find everything in Bloodborne on their first playthrough
whoa it's almost like there are incentives for playing the game more than one time
it's almost like the game provides rewarding experiences for time invested in it
it's like we live in a time where people speed through games and then on to the next one in their back log of consumable disposable media

whoa no wonder bloodborne appears to be so amazing rising to the top of a sea of mediocrity.

OP if you are 28 don't buy any other games just exclusively play bloodborne for at least 150 hours.

>whoa it's almost like there are incentives for playing the game more than one time
>it's almost like the game provides rewarding experiences for time invested in it
Yeah, I know and I liked that about Bloodborne. Not sure why you're arguing with me for contradicting some idiot that thinks everyone just magically finds and kills all 17 bosses on their first playthrough.
