It would be cool if they hired someone who knows how to write banter. The usual RE team wrote the script for RE7 and had the guy who wrote Spec Ops The Line as an advisor for the dialogues. Something like that could do wonders for DMC.

I think Dante's VA actually helped out on the writing for DMC3 and 4. I think the banter in that game is pretty solid, there's some snappy comebacks and jokes that I quite like.

I do think better writing wouldn't hurt when it comes to the story though, it's not terrible but it's not very imaginative either. The best it got was DMC3 and that was mainly because it used a lot of proven tropes.

Yeah, Langdon did a solid job. Still, I'm no sure how well constantly mentioning party would fly in 2017 and onwards.
