nanomachines son

Making America great again.

I think he wanted to fight fire with fire and then once he was president he was going to somehow push the reset button on America to its roots where we were still throwing tea into the harbor.

I don't know but that 7 minute speech was great to listen to and that boss battle was intense.

He wanted to turn America into Iraq

CRASHING THIS NATION

1. Appeal to the broad masses to become president by pretending he liked the times when the Patriots were in control.
2. Realize his dream of an anarchistic world where everyone can do whatever he wants.
Probably by nuking everything and everyone. (He´s basically a big fan of Hokuto no Ken)

Use war as a business to become president and then end war as a business so all men are free to fight their own wars according to their own beliefs and the strongest survive. Basically ancap "paradise".

In the end he makes some valid and relatable points and Raiden does end up adopting part of Armstrong and Sam's ideas about fighting for what you personally believe in rather than justifying killing in the name of "justice" or other monikers. However we're also shown how Armstrong is wrong; unlike Raiden, Armstrong was never poor or hungry and didn't live through the anarchistic hell at the end of the food chain like Raiden did. Raiden understands that Armstrong's ideal is pure madness.

Weaponized buzzwords.

MAGA

To this day I don't know for what purpose they kidnapped kids to turn them into cyborgs.

To build metal gears and make pakistan pay for it while having the biggest forehead in humankind

I think they were just cheap and easily accessible brains for cyborgs. No one's going to miss a few slum kids. Sundowner also mentioned stuff about teaching them to kill young makes them excellent killers in the future as well. Raiden himself is a super soldier who learned the trade as a kid.

Only the strong can survive in Armstrongs new world.
So Armstrong wanted to make sure there was some competition when the time had come.

>Ray is built up as a weapon to surpass Metal Gear in 2
>In Rising it is the tutorial boss.

That doesn't make sense

This is more probable

>Surprised that bleeding edge tech isn't as popular or powerful 9 years later

Raiden destroyed 20 Rays singlehandedly, m8
Without any enhancements

Raiden also fucks up a horde of them in MGS2 with a simple missile launcher.

They already undermined the superiority of Ray in MGS2 when one guy armed with a rocket launcher fends off dozens of them at the end of the game. That same guy, now a cyber-ninja, could take one down with ease.

That was obviously a VR Sim. In fact everything after Emma dies is likely a VR Sim.

His master plan was ultimately transhumanism. Not just physical via nanomachines, but changing all of humanity's culture. We are a species that built itself on coming together and building societies in order to accomplish far more than any individual could do, and overcome threats and challenges that individuals could not. Armstrong wants to fuck with that and make every individual a society unto themselves, which goes completely against the entirety of human evolution.

Nope, that was just Raidens nanomachines acting up

>make every individual a society unto themselves

>That doesn't make sense
Armstrong idolizes people like Jack, because they fit into his ideal world.
Why wouldn´t supporting the creation of artificial "Raidens" make sense for him?

No, Kojima is just that shitty a writer.

>All of the cybernetic stuff we see in 2, 4 and Rising is a direct ancestor to the oribital frames and LEVs from Zone of the Enders.
>We will never get a Metal Gear game that finally bridges the gap.

Become president by pretending he likes the shitty status quo.
Then destroy america somehow, maybe losing a war, or something.
Finally start a mad max tier society where the strongest make their own lives.

I mean, its pretty clear, dunno how people cant get it.

Sure, if you ignore the half a dozen other characters that were present

They were mass produced. One ray probably wasn't as strong as it was planned in its blueprints

Okay then, where exactly did Raiden fight the RAYs. Last I checked Arsenal Gear isn't big enough for a massive platform surrounded by lightning and fog.

Arsenal Gear was fucking enormous. The Rays were on board as part of it's protection.

he knew the average citizen was a worthless piece of shit that'd happily vote to send other people to war so he wanted to use that and a false flag presidential assassination to get elected and then use executive power to destroy the whole system no matter how chaotic it'd be

child soldiers were basically just there so you wouldn't agree with him

Arsenal Gear is huge, man.

I still feel robbed.

Lol no. "MGS2 was actually a computer simulation" theorists were always the biggest retards. The Patriots themselves literally tell you how Big Shell Incident and everything in it is a REAL LIFE simulation for the S3 plan, because they're testing how much control they can exert over real life events. In those scenes you also had plenty of characters who certainly weren't in some sort of computer simulation. That's the reason people like Fatman existed in the first place, as a sort of REAL LIFE reset button if the test failed because the thing isn't a computer simulation where you can simply pull the plug. Snake on the other hand was an unplanned parameter, as evidenced by the Campbell AI at the beginning of the game outright telling Raiden to ignore Snake as "he isn't part of the simulation". If the events were all a computer simulation there would've been no reason for the AI to be perplexed by a completely foreign parameter.

Snake's speech at the end is just about Raiden's experiences (fake or not, like Campbell or relationship with Rose), and saying that despite some of the stuff Raiden experiencing being lies and falsehoods, the emotions he experienced are all real and part of him as a person. There's also the fact that Snake and Otacon get ahold of the fake Patriot data from Big Shell / Arsenal Gear, meaning they actually experienced the events as well. Or are you saying the after credits stinger is also a computer simulation?

Explain why the Boss in MGS3 has power over flowers and shit. The answer is that it looks cool.

>Explain why the Boss in MGS3 has power over flowers and shit.
PARASITES SON

Okay that makes sense. But why were New Yorkers so Nonchalant about a gigantic military submarine crashing into lower Manhattan and the former President Ninja fighting a white haired prettyboy in a skintight rubber suit?

They say rendering them all running was too intensive.

You know I honestly miss when Metal Gear Solid had a supernatural element to it. Instead of everything being explained by LOL PARASITES and LOL Nanomachines. Stuff like Vulcan Raven's shamanism gave the series a bit of mystery.

Same reason Rose materializes our of nowhere. Kojima is more interested in being pretentious and cool shit than having a cohesive story.

That and New Yorkers don't give a fuck.

>lmao you weak as people need to learn how to survive, lets fucking beat each other up and figure out who deserves to live
>what do you mean by "you already have advantage of nanomachines you cunning faggot"?

I think Mantis (especially kid Mantis) and the Sorrow's telekinetic powers are the only things they left unexplained by nanomachines and parasites.

>But why were New Yorkers so Nonchalant about a gigantic military submarine crashing into lower Manhattan and the former President Ninja fighting a white haired prettyboy in a skintight rubber suit?
1. That was the fucking point of the bad guy's plan
2. Nobody saw them fight
3. Why were happy merchants dancing on 9/11?

There is always this argument going around when Ray is brought up but people always seem to forget that it was still TWENTY FUCKING METAL GEARS.

And yet all kojimas effort to retcon supernatural stuff fall to the ground with the sorrow, who had undiscutible supernatural powers, unless you think parasites can allow a dead person to make blood rain and and all the stuff that happened in the river.

*unzips P90*
Rays fucking sucked.

Finally got time to finish this game yesterday, i loved the over the top, mindless action so much, i think i loved this game more than the first Metal Gear Solid

What is your favorite song Sup Forums?

Was the Tanker chapter a VR Sim?

The Depeche Mode song was the only song I liked. It's the only Depeche Mode song I like too.

Fortune pulled some mystical shit at the end too, right? And I though that The Sorrow was already dead by the time you fight him.

The whole river thing was a clumsy Kojima crisis of conscience metaphor, I think

Except the sorrow ghost is visible during certain moments, and big boss got the very real noiseless ghost camo from sorrow.

Did a no kill run and had to dodge only four emotions to get to Sorrow. And I did forget about the scenes where you could watch him float around with a time card.

To bring an end to the military industrial complex. Thought he made that pretty clear.

To give war a chance.

DONT FUCK WITH THIS MINISTER

He wanted to control war as an institution to the point where between his monetary and corporation influence on the extralevel end, and being elected president on the legal end, he would have sufficient power to kill war as an institution.

From there, you'd basically revert America to total Darwinism where the strong get what they want and the weak eat shit, but everyone knows the rules of the game even if they aren't strong enough to win.

wild west

Making the mother of all Omelettes, Jack.

Post your Senators.

He's a lot more handsome with that moustache.
