Portability is a meme.
when will animal crossing become harvest moon but with furries?
Oh so you're buying a Sony Playstation 4 too? What a coincidence!
would you want a traditional AC game or something that breaks the traditions of Animal Crossing?
I want a more customizable town with a behind-the-character camera instead of an overhead view.
Animal Crossing on the Switch would be a system seller, just look at the DS and 3DS
They better make an Animal Crossing game on the Switch some time, I love New Leaf but it's updates aren't holding me over.
Every time Nintendo has moved away from the AC formulas we've got bullshit like HHD or Amiibo Festival.
But yes, I'd love something fresh new as long as they don't do the monstrosity they've done so far. The idea of biomes or living in a university-like campus full of villagers that people used the dream about on /acg/ would be nice.
>tfw they turn animal crossing into a skyrim-eque survival game where you gather resources and craft furniture for your log cabin
They already have weapon durability so...
New Leaf update came out too late to revive it. If it came out one or two years before more people would be playing nowadays.
They added something that aims in that direction with the update.
>Animal Crossing
Why did you even make this bait thread?
I fell for the Animal Crossing meme and got it back then on my DS Lite.
Literally, unironically and objectively 2/10 trash. Watching handicapped nigger tranny porn would be more productive and entertaining than "playing" this.
How does this nothing to do fuckery even have a fanbase? It has less gaming mechanics and gameplay than Flappy Bird.
You're going to need a hardware revision, uncomf plastic chunk tablet. :^)
>I am a boring person with little imagination
>Sonybro being THIS mad about an objectively good game
you guys are butthurt for all eternity
Agreed. The Order 1886, now that's a good game!
>yfw Animal Crossing, but in a 3D world
The Breath Of The Wild of Animal Crossing
Women love Animal Crossing.
You should lighten up. Stick to action games if that's what you prefer. Not all games are for everyone.
I wouldn't mind this so long as we got more varied interaction with the villagers. Preferably better than GC tier.
Do you mean an open world exploration game or an actual 3D Animal Crossing that doesn't follow the rotating tube format?
That actually looks so uncomfy.
>Nintendo gives us an actually good version of this
>Animal Crossing but with some sort of plot and events to follow each day
Please
A little bit of both? I want them to experiment with ideas and add new features while still having a sense of fidelity to what makes the games so nice.
Animal Crossing is among the pinnacle of comfy games, and the existing formula hasn't failed me. More customisation, more interaction/dialogue with the villagers.
Part of me wants to be the town founder this time and build the town from the ground up, and attract villagers by building the town, a food system where you can cook things and an ability to send messages in a bottle again, or an opt-in service where you can send letters between towns on your friends list. An in-game path system (instead of just relying on patterns), the ability to regulate where buildings can go.
I'm optimistic about hearing something at E3 this year.
>every time
>two times
I really fucking hate people like you.
So, I never got into Animal Crossing.
From what I gather is basically a The Sims superlite for furries, right?
What's so special about it?
I love cozy games like Harvest Moon.
This is utter fucking trash though.
Animal Crossing with Online capabilities would make me buy a switch.
Wait until the mobile game comes out and it will be three times. I hope I'm wrong, 'cause I love AC.
I'll agree with Amiibo Festival, but I thought HHD was actually a pretty solid spin-off. If they were going to make a Switch game, they obviously should make a full fledged entry. I just wanted to defend HHD because that game is very charming and actually fun if you like arranging furniture. It scratched an itch I had while playing the main games.
Which animal would you crossing, Sup Forums?
>inb4 E3 just gives us information about the smartphone game
>Animal Crossing
that will surely stop people from playing RDR, COD, FIFA and NBA2K
When Nintendo markets the game towards degenerates and not six year olds.
...
I know it to be true, but I still have hope user
God I hope they add non-retarded pathing in the next one, creating a town that doesn't look like shit in 3DS is a pain. Also remove grass degradation
Other than that AC on Switch would be a system seller, I hope they announce it on E3
>bought a Wii U hoping for the next console Animal Crossing
>no money nor desire to buy a Switch
Agreed. How would you change the path system? Ability to put down different preset kinds or what?
Never played animal crossing, should i play from an emulator the n64 or the DS one?
This
t. owner of a Switch
iktf, bought mine anticipating AC/Pokémon.
I sold my Wii U and bought a Switch, already have more time spent on my Switch than I ever did on the Wii U, it just feels really nice to hold/play personally.
I think that if they add something like a Public Work Project where certain amount of bells = 1 square of pathing would be nice, they just would have to get rid of the PWP limit of 1 a day.
I hope they know people do pathing for fun, and if they make it a feature maybe now you could even have brick sound like brick and wood sound like wood instead of every step sounding like grass. I also hope they are a little more forgiving on what can you do with PWP, you usually have to have them too far from each other.
I hope they drop the tiled item placement. I don't like having perfectly square gardens
DS/Wild World is really good, some would argue for the GameCube/Population Growing version though. I like both.
New Leaf is my personal favourite.
I hope you have fun user.
I did the same for AC and BotW. Jumped ship and sold the Wii U and got a Switch.
I find emulating Animal Crossing quite boring, dunno why.
It would be really interesting to see how they'd do this I think, ability to rotate when placing items would be pretty cool too
The gamecube version is the definitive. Best music, best dialogue, has NES games.
but Wild World and New Leaf are great too.
just avoid City Folk and you can't go wrong either way.
Completely agree. AC for the DS was disgusting.
Then I got AC as my first 3DS game for a lack of options, and played like 400h of it over a few years.
I think the series is at it's best when it's on a handheld personally
...
What's your favourite K.K. Slider song?
> Go K.K. Rider!
Good shit user

>K.K. Good Day
My nigga
>Part of me wants to be the town founder this time and build the town from the ground up, and attract villagers by building the town
I'd like that a lot.
>a food system where you can cook things
"Make all the recipes" would be a great collection, doubly so if villagers had different likes and dislikes. The pinnacle would be having a dinner party and serving food that everyone enjoys.
If I could have anything added, it would be further expansion to the Island - basically more events and such there to give you more of a reason to go than to farm Bells. How about having your own hut on the Island to decorate? Maybe you can go there with Villagers, even.
To mirror it, I think there ought to be a Town Project you can build that's a cable-car system. It takes you up the nearby mountain to a ski-resort where it's always winter. There would be hot springs to soak in, a cabin of your own to decorate, a cave to explore where you can get rare bugs, gems, and fossils. And the best part is that there would be a skiing minigame to get back down to the village, if you wanted.
I'd like an actual city, something much bigger than the plaza in city folk. streets you can walk through and maybe an apartment to buy
Here's my (partial) list for AC Switch:
Villagers
>more personality types, I want grumpy villagers to go back to being assholes
>quirks that act like 'sub-personality types' so that two villagers with the both type will still have some small differences
>more complex personalities and 'settings': a tsundere that acts like a jerk but slowly opens up, a chuuni whose character breaks every now and then, a shy one that follows you around hiding, someone who changes personality during the night, etc
>a LOT more dialog lines
>being able to choose where new villagers will build their houses
>best friends that will never leave your town
>room mates, both in your house and between villagers
>villagers related to each other (brothers, cousins, childhood friends etc)
>more interaction with them, like being able to invite them to fish, catch bugs, shop, play soccer etc
>villagers can do the same things you can, so you can see them actually catch bugs and fish, dig holes, plant trees, eat fruit etc
>villagers can expand their own homes, buy clothes and furniture from the shops
Village
>houses for Nook, Able Sisters etc
>more varied zones like mountains, marshes, jungles, etc
>caves: like fossils, are generated at random places every day
>inside them you can find fossils, minerals, different types of bugs and fish, maybe a bat NPC
>more and more interactive PWPs, like being able to build soccer fields or something that add new things to do
Activities
>bring back NES games, they could put those short VC demos or let you play your own VC games
>more minigames like the ones on holidays
>jobs: just like when you had to work for Nook or when you work at the coffee shop, you could work for the Able Sisters to design clothes on commission, or at the Postal Office and deliver mail to the villagers
>an online hub where you can meet with other players, like a mall or something, kind of like the island from NL
There's a lot more but that's enough for now.
It would be neat to offer an option for players like that. Would you like to live in the traditional, quiet village? Would you like on a busy city block? Of course, once you get far enough in the game, you can also buy a place in the other location, to double your fun.
This was boring as fuck though.
Shut up and post sexy animal villagers
This actually sounds so cool user, I'd definitely like to see a lot of these implemented in the next game.
I'm personally waiting for exactly this to pick up a Switch.
They got me with Animal Crossing for 3DS, I have no doubt they'll do it again.
Or SMT Switch, which ever comes first.
Just like we left the PS3 to the Wii U/Wii, the PS2 to the Gamecube, and the PS1 to the N64.
So far it's not been working out leaving any Playstation home console to Nintendo so maybe we should just leave it to Microsoft since they've at least shown some capabilities in that sense.
Next Animal Crossing should be more like pic related. But not with the minecraft style building, but a small overworld you can explore, choose a plot of land to settle and then expand on the mayor role New Leaf attempted
>>more and more interactive PWPs, like being able to build soccer fields or something that add new things to do
You are a fucking genius and I love you, please let them put more mini games and stuff to do besides decorating and talking
was just listening to Animal Crossing OST's
I miss playing the GC game as a kid and tried really hard to get the same feeling out of New Leaf, but it just didn't work
Atleast the music still is nostalgic
I honestly hope animal crossing for switch doesn't come out. I'm having too much fun with animal crossing new leaf right now and I don't want the fanbase to die
>houses for Nook, Able Sisters etc
Part of what I really liked about BOTW was watching people go about their daily business, waking up then going to work/doing stuff and coming back home.
I think it would be really cool for these guys to feel more like they're part of the town. Knocking on Nook's door incessantly when he's asleep after hours in the middle of the night leads to him sleepily giving you the keys to the store or something would be a nice throwback, or you get a bonus/discount for accompanying him to opening up the store up every morning. Something like that.
The fanbase is almost dead at this point, dude. And if AC Switch was announced you would have more than 6 months to keep playing NL.
...
90% of AC players drop off after 2-3 months of playing, lad. The community needs a new game.
youtu.be
Always my favorite
Animal Crossing, while not bad, is easily one of Nintendo's weakest franchises. The only thing about it that stands out is the Isabelle porn, and Nintendo isn't even responsible for that aspect of the series.
More reasons to play in the wee hours (other than fantastic music) would be great.
Nothing quite like the first few months after a game like this launches. I used to be really active on ACC/AnimalCrossingCommunity years back, have such fond memories from the City Folk launch.
How easy it is to discard the opinions of a Jojofag Frogposter.
>Switch doesn't do audio thru Bluetooth.
>Get a notification from my sony TV that it's getting an update this month that lets me use Bluetooth headsets
Thanks based Sony for fixing the Switch.
What's this, it doesn't look like any animal crossing I've ever played
4AM is my favourite track from the hourly themes, godly taste user.
What kind of activities would you suggest to be able to do at night? I tend to be able to play most at nighttime so having to set back my 3DS clock just to play normally most nights was frustrating. Was very glad for the island at the very least, as you could beetle farm all night and have a massive bell haul in the morning when ReTail opened.
If it was a Sony title they'd parade it like it's god's gift. It's like how they all pretend Knack isn't trash
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival for the Wii U, I believe user. It's kind of like Mario Party but with Animal Crossing.
If you get a Wii U in-game from Nook's kids in New Leaf and display it in your house you can play it like the NES games in the Gamecube game. This is the game you can play. It's a little survival game you can play with you villagers.
How would we share art and shit? There's no camera or streetpass functionality.
>How would we share art and shit? There's no camera
Using the Nintendo app on your smartphone
This is an intellectually dishonest post.
I was thinking once they add the browser they could add some functionality to the capture/image library that lets you turn pictures into designs in-game perhaps?
Or this, makes more sense.
>What kind of activities would you suggest to be able to do at night?
Maybe Red's got a late night shop open with even swingier rates. He'll pay less for many things, but if you bring him something he needs for someone else...big money.
How about a new holiday just before Summer starts, "Finals Week" where certain animals will be studying up late and you can help them with quizzes.
Deputy police work from 12 AM on. You have to patrol about for suspicious noises and such.
Bring back stargazing.
K.K. Slider stays up late writing music sometimes. You can help him out by picking out certain melodies, instruments, and so forth. After ten visits with him, he presents you with the song you helped him make.
Sable all day ery day
Good to see the things I want on this list. I think there's little debate that most of these points are pretty good.
>all of the nintendo themed easter egg furniture and stuff is locked behind amiibos
a post amiibo mainline animal crossing is going to be very interesting
>never tried AC
>finally try new leaf
>end up stopping after a few hours thinking "what's the point?"
That game is just so fucking boring, what the hell. I feel like I'd have to be a 10 year old girl to enjoy it.
Yes. I would play the shit out of this.
nostalgia really, at least it was for me
>he isn't a 10 year old girl
oh wow
I was very excited to buy the 3DS version, it had been years since I had played but I sunk hundreds of hours into both the gamecube and DS versions. I managed about 8 hours of gameplay before I turned it off for the final time. I'm not sure how/why I enjoyed AC as a child but I don't like it now.
fucking make textures for each stage of house expansion size for carpets and wallpapers i fucking hate that expanding my house makes them look worse how it just stretches the texture out
youtube.com
i kinda wish someone did the big task of getting a shit ton of different people together to do recreations of the air check songs and add some small touches
Think the tales games will come out on Switch, their graphics are still PS3 tier anyway, so it should be able to handle it.
