ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm idk
Kinda weird how this hasn't been ported up through the PS4/Xbox one. Easy, cheap money.
An actual collection of Genesis carts on cycle perfect hardware with a Sony PVM and RGB cables
Sonic ultimate Genesis collection on Ps3
seriously? basically anything else, since sonic LITERALLY gives people autism.
Sonic Mega Collection plus on PS2
You know what he means
>with a Sony PVM
Yeah man, because if there's one thing I love it's displaying video games on an 8-inch screen just so I can jerk off to the pixels instead of actually playing games.
Any of the collections M2 made for Sega Ages. Or their 3D Classics Collections.
...
???
I have a 20" pvm, and I've seen 29" ones as well like the NEC xm29
Gems Collection. Had Sonic CD, which is objectively the best Sonic game.
What's a good Sega Saturn emulator?
That one Zelda collection disc.
>has Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and S&K
>yet you can't play Sonic 3 & Knuckles or Knuckles in Sonic 2
>4 games
>2 of which are buggy as fuck and notorious for crashing
>Skips one of the arguably best games in the series, Link to the Past, because they had a shitty GBA port they were trying to sell at the time
No
>game has Sonic 3 and Knuckles
>a compilation game within a compilation game
Compilation game that's gems and mega in one when?
Only Majora's Mask crashed. OoT ran just fine as they got that running perfectly in the Master Quest disc.
How come Mega Man hasn't had a single good collection? They've all been garbage
>Didn't even have Master Quest
That's another big notch against it
>paying for rom compilations
Literally why? Just emulate. It's the same thing.
The only time where buying roms is justified is like said, when they actually have enhancements and new features/modes (Sega Ages on PS2, Sega 3D classics on 3DS, etc)
What makes for a good collection? What makes them more worthwhile than emulating them yourself?
Yeah that's a big strike against that compilation. Thanks a lot, backbone.
The same reason every Street Fighter collection has had a horrible wart.
I bought a Gamecube with my own money when I was 13 saved up over multiple birthdays just for this.
Was worth it
Nowa days I'd say it's a bit pointless but back then I liked the bonus stuff like concept art & maybe some old promotional videos and shit. Recently I liked challenges in Mega Man Legacy Collection, more like that would be neat or hell maybe do what the Wily Wars did and add a Wily Castle-esque thing to whatever the collection is.
Ahem
Eat shit!
...
Mega Man X Collection was solid outside of X6 removing the VO
These usually have a composite output (or shit scaling and input lag for hdmi ones), laggy and connection-dropping wireless controllers and some horrible third party hacked together emulator.
Did sega do all the work for this one internally?
Fuck no. This is literally the worst.
Megaman Classic Collection.
There, done.
AC his great in terms of what it includes, but the ports themselves are HORRIBLE.
Especially on the Gamecube.
no, it's the exact same shit
What was wrong with megaman X collection and Megaman Anniversary collection? Anniversary even had the two arcade games
>god tier collections (improves or enhances the games)
Sega 3d classics collection
>top tier (adds some extras)
kirby anniversary collection
>mid tier (solid collection on par with original release)
sonic mega collection
>low tier (worse than original releases)
silent hill collection
>shit tier (absolutely ruins the originals)
EA replay
Namco and M2 are the king of collections
>EA replay
Did it just use a shitty snes and genesis emulator?
yeah and changed the music
no point of playing road rash like that
haha isnt it obvious also make sur to buy halo 5 whil ur at it and all the suply drops haha also watch the esports livestreams
M2 actually did a few of the Namco Museum releases.
Also, Digital Eclipse is mediocre as fuck. Just like they were as Backbone.
I get why they want to keep the games as is, but at the same time, people do not want to pay premium to get something emulators DEFINITELY do for free, better.
Didn't they do the Namco Musuem DS game?
Seems really like their style with all the arcade options and bringing Pac-man VS to portable
Uh
I mean the new one.
Gems collection faggot
They did.
M2 did those AMAZING Konami shooter collections on the PSP too. Oh and Capcom Arcade Cabinet, which is the best way BY FAR to play their old arcade games. Not Capcom Classics Collection.
>missing several games
>claims no room and ratings issues
>both are bullshit
X collection was good.
Oh, well for starters, it's literally the roms, untouched. So no bugfixes, no framerate fixes, nothing. I really get why they did it, for the autheticity, but when the shitheap that's AC (which took it's ports from the Complete Works ports on the PSone) had slowdown fixes...Also, the challenge mode is LOL SAVE STATES.
Legacy Collection has the perk of being portable and having that great collection of art however. And the 3DS version, physically is dirt cheap now.
Disney Afternoon Collection has the same issues, but this time it has no portable OR physical release.
I sure can. Hell, I'll even list off collections you can get on the PS2.
>Sonic Mega Collection Plus
>Sonic Gems Collection
>Midway Arcade Classics Vol. 1 and 2
>Namco Museum Collection
>Mega Man Anniversary Collection
>Mega Man X Collection
>Atari Flashback Collection
>Sega 3D Classics
>Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
>Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
>Capcom Classics Collection
>Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol. 2
This and Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2.
...
Oh fuck, I forgot that too. Good shit
From what I heard anniversary collection had input lag or something like that.
It doesn't from my experience
It does. The PS2 version has it BAD, while the GCN version just has the fucking broken controls.
One version has incorrect slowdowns and input lag sometimes.
The other has the controls backwards and doesn't let you change them.
It does, and the ports are these weird half assed Complete Works versions without any of the benefits of the actual Complete Works versions
You're getting a butchered product either way. No idea why people shilled the AC when the LC was announced
Because "muh number of games!"
I think what Cifaldi does is fantastic and I'm all for it, but Digital Eclipse was never a good developer and I cannot believe Capcom doesn't just hire M2 to do everything.
Ah, you guys meant the PS2 collection. I was thinking of the newest one that came out.
Kirby's Dream Collection.
Nah
Though the new one isn't great either
Megaman 5 is broken on some platforms.
It is flat out broken on 3DS. You need to switch to Rockman V for it to work.
DE never fucking fixed it either.
Really? Huh. How is it broken? I've only played the console version of the collection
It becomes a choppy mess.
Sonic Jam
How come none of the sega/sonic collections have knuckles chaotix?
When it's redame from the ground up, like those HD Taxman ports of Sonic 1, 2, and CD.
the classic games' audio is at a different pitch in Sonic Jam.
>ywn play these versions of Arrangement again
Selling it was a mistake. At least Dolphin exists.
Any collection that has Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles but not Sonic 3 & Knuckles is useless.
Literally a non-issue.
>part of what makes the classic games so memorable is a non-issue
Probably can't get the emulation to work properly.
So it's literally not rad enough.
Retroarch's
...
step aside faggots
You can always buy it again. I sold this game over 10 years ago but rebought it last year.
Trying to play Zelda 1 and 2 with that shitty GC d-pad was also bad. Luckily I only paid 5 dollars for my disc at a garage sale.
I'm planning on it. I still have my Gamecube lying around.
Should probably just hack my Wii though.
