Spoonfeed me on what it is and where to get it shill-san
I thought they released just a demo?
Lecarde Chronicles 2. The game is out, and it's phenomenal.

Hollow Knight came out ages ago, why would I still be playing it?
this game looks like diarrhea
Takes one t-to know one...........................................................
can i get a redpill on this
how's the original Rondo of Blood within Dracula Chronicles X?
heard there's some audio issues, but other than that it's one of the best versions to play, right?
New fan-made Castlevania game featuring a huge, very well-made world as well as the original VA's from Symphony of the Night.
Just emulate the original.
is the original even in English?
I'm shit at emulation anyway
no but all the menus are in english anyway. You're just missing out on what they say in cutscenes.
>Japanese SoTN has the text in the intro in English
Because I don't have a PS1 and my laptop is too crappy for emulator.
Finished Lords of Shadow 1 and 2 recently. They were okay.
It's a very competent fan game, but it's not phenomenal. It's a clone of a 30+ year old franchise.
There's an English patched version floating around.
better download this before konami takes it down and makes a pachinko game out of it
>fan-game
Is the level design good? Level design is always bullshit in fan projects to me. I want it to be good, though.
If you emulate the PSP version you'll get the full translation on top of a lot of other goodies like SOTN and the original.
That version looks like shit whereas the original has some of the best art in the medium, however.
it includes the original 2d version

Is this it? I know there's another emulator for RoB floating around on youtube which I downloaded but I can't find it currently.
Why would you emulate the pc engine original, when it's in Dracula Chronicles on PSP as extra, alongside Symphony of the Night?
Just get PPSSPP and you are good to go.
if I want to play it on the PSP however (after buying it?), can I download a save of the game with SOTN & Rondo already unlocked?
I don't want to play the 2.5 remake or go through the levels to get it, and I'm not keen on emulation (in case it isn't obvious I know shit all about it)
One of the things I like about the PPSSPP is that unlike say ePSXe, it comes fully loaded and doesn't need massive amounts of searching for the BIOS and tweaking to get everything working.
thats not circle of the moon.
circle of the moon is the best game ever. why are you not playing it?
circle of the moon with 500km map, over 600 hour gameplay, huge replay value, over 20 card to collect and over 5000! combination of these card to get amazing power!!
and you are not playing? why user?
Both Sorrow games are better than CotM.
how ? that is not possible. circle of the moon use at full the gba hardware, given the game graphics superior even to a ps2, the sound can only be truly appreciate it with a surround system 7.1.
what does sorrow games have? a faggot dracula thats all, there isn't good porn about it.
First time I've ever heard anyone say anything good about CoTM at all.
And it's wrong.
Because I just got a job close to right after the day it was released.
I barely even have time for myself now.
5000 factorial is a rather large number, user.
While it's clear that user is being sarcastic as fuck, CoTM is one of the more underrated Castlevanias. Quit acting like it's bad.
that how awesome is circle of the moon.
im not being sarcastic, circle of the moon is awesome as fuck, better than sex with two hands!!.
same user here
if I download a gamefaq save that says "all girls rescued" and/or "all stages unlocked" etc will the game be different?
as in, Dracula saying something he would only say if I've beaten the game? or does it not effect it like that?
Tried emulating the PSP version, music stops after one loop, audio isn't synced to cutscenes which can cause it to crash in the original ROB and SOTN also has issues i believe. Unless it's been fixed recently.
I still want a game where we play as Julius when he was younger. Him and Richter were my favorite characters to plat in Castlevania HD.
Yes.
So are the Souls games unique with their soul stealing mechanics? I really liked the mixing and matching of abilities. They're the only two games I've ever played in the series and I'm not sure I'd be as interested in a version that was just cruising the castle with a whip and axes.
Stop. CotM is my personal favorite CV. Please don't shitpost.
Everything after SotN has something like that.
in before hollow knight shills oh wait
I think it's really good. Very tight platforming as classic Castlevania is known for. But of course, it wouldn't be complete without sections that will infuriate you. In particular, the game will begin taking giant shits on you when you enter the castle.
Graphically, I'm almost in love with these fangames. The backgrounds and objects in the interiors tell stories, and sometimes the implications in the areas are straight up horrific.
I think my favourite boss so far is the Hell Painting in Chronicles 2. It's a huge painting of a ballroom scene, and the characters in the painting appear as spirits to claim you. When you defeat them, the painting becomes ripped, revealing that the characters were actual people that had been entombed behind the painting.
HOLLY FUCK, IT'S OUT ALREADY!?
I thought you meant the first one.
Order of Ecclesia has glyphs which replace souls and weapons at the same time, but the game is more linear than A/DoS. You get some of them from enemies (not all enemies drop them) and some dotted around the levels.
Portrait has abilities you pick up, but none are from enemies, and it's one per character.
I tried it out and the controls are way clunkier than your usual Metroidvania. The hitbox for the sword when you attack in the air is somewhat thin, like I have to hit right with the center of the weapon to hit the enemies or else nothing happens. Aside from that it's certainly fun. The woman statue boss was some unexpected bullshit, at least they put a save point before that
Played it a few days ago.
It's a pretty shitty Castlevania, but it's got some pretty fun adventure-game elements thrown in instead.
looks like shit
What's up with those red-tinted rooms with one dead guy in them? I just know I'll eventually have to revisit each one, and it's gonna be a huge pain because they're spread out all over.
