The game of life.

IWBTG i guess. Didn't bother getting past the first couple screens though

Lufia II

ghosts and goblins

Tie between Starcraft: Brood War and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Unironically Gran Turismo 5 and the god damn endurance races. I didn't expect them to actually be 24 hour long races.

TES Oblivion 100% difficulty.

Ninja Gaiden hard mode.

I wanna kill the Kamilia 2

bioshock infinite. I'm stuck at the start and I'm playing on lowest difficulty

Dark Souls

Probably this for me. Still haven't finished the game on anything but wuss mode and with a bunch of bosses beaten through glitches, including The Guy. IWBTBoshy has been giving me headaches lately, literally.

That one SNES game where you play as a little girl using her hook to swing around collecting fish and baskets of food

Do you need help with the bell part? I got stuck there for a while myself

Umihara Kawase.

You posted it, op.

All SMT games

Star Tropics. I haven't played very many hard games. That one stands out as giving me a bit of trouble.

Armored Core Last Raven. (Made by Fromsoft)
Dark souls doesn't even come close to that bullshit.

Now that I think about it, I haven't really played a REALLY difficult game that was fair.

I usually play most games on normal for the first playthrough and then up the difficulty on subsequent
playthroughs.

Just push down whenever you swing forward.

fpbp

*blocks your simplification*

Touhou 15
Ninja Gaiden 2
Dark Souls 2
DMC3 original version

Dark Souls

>24 hour long races.
seriously?

La Mulana and Towerclimb

played and gave up on? you posted it
played and beat all the way through? 1001 Spikes

Super Meat Boy after the light world. I don't fucking care the levels are short you memers, it's hard

>reinstall game, plan on 100%ing that shit
>mfw the bandage for El Topo
Singlehandedly soured my mood for the rest of the game, and it only got worse from there.

How?

I Wanna Be The Guy Gaiden

Castlevania III, the American Wii Shop version.

That's really the first and only time I've felt true terror at a video game.

the hardest fps I've played to this day is still Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
>execute plan perfectly
>Ding Chavez somehow dies with two enemies remaining, too valuable, have to start over
>hostage falls down a fucking ladder

I have no idea how anyone could possibly beat that Penthouse mission without cheating.

Why is he holding a snowball in a sleeveless T-shirt?

He's waiting for you to retrieve your own soul.

Either pop'n or iidx, I'm not sure which is hardest because I'm bad at iidx and only decent at pop'n so I'm nowhere near close to seeing the hardest charts.

isn't there an auto-pilot mode where you just give basic instructions and let it do the work? that's what you were supposed to do in GT4

Rabi-Ribi

vid related, and that's "only" a 43
twitter.com/vTATSUv/status/801426605125963776

Spider man on game boy advance. Could never get pass the pizza boy missions

la-mulana probably, couldnt beat it without a walkthrough

I STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN THE FUCKING OWL EVERY TIME I TRY IT JUOst gRINDS MY SOUL INTO THE FUCKING DIRT LAUGHING LAUGHING LAUGHING LAMENTING HOW I WILL NEVER BEAT THE OWL I JUST WANT TO BEAT THE OWLW I'M GOING TO FUCKING FINISH THIS ILL FINISH IT ALL OWL ILL FUCKINKILL THE OWL/

Kid Icarus Uprising.

Holy shit.

Any of the SNES Star Wars games

I second this.

Also
Ni no kuni.

Boat-o-Cross 1 and 2

there's no such thing as a difficult single player game
fighting games are the hardest genre in existence, the irrefutable proof is their completely niche status and poor sales/player retention
only thing that comes close is older 1v1 arena fps like quake, but even then still not quite

I know this is stale bait but what about rhythm games?
youtube.com/watch?v=FMK4dI7reTw

rhythm games are just muscle memory, grind it long enough and you can do it without fail
fighting games have difficult execution that you have to pull off while still adapting to an opponent as smart as you with a plethora of options and situations to worry about along with being under tremendous pressure, there's no contest

Ninja gaiden on the sega gamegear, shit was impossible.

Game Gear had some hard shit on it. The poor battery life didn't help either.

Yeah in B-Spec mode. In A-Spec you had to do the whole thing (I think there was an update later on that let you save mid race though).

fuck you i'm starving i didn't need to see that

...

F-Zero GX
>Mission Seven

SMT4 is the hardest shit I'm playing right now. Sometimes it feels like a pain in the ass desu. I save all the time because I don't want to randomly get rekt. In most JRPGs you kind of know when you might get rekt, in SMT4 sometimes I just run into an enemy that wipes out all 3 of my demons in one turn.

IWBTG or They Bleed Pixels.

FUCK OFF

.

Is this the one that's on the 3DS?

If so, is it a good entry point into the series? I like the Persona games, but the waifu shit is pretty boring since i'm not a virgin.

,

Stop this! Bring on the feels

How far in are you? The difficulty drops past Naraku until you start the Alignment lock sequence.

'

This looks like candy, but it probably tastes like sour vagina.

I hate seafood, so whenever I go to a japanese restaurant with my gf I only as for ramen and make damn sure those slants don't put any fish into my fucking soup.

;

SMT 4 is pretty good for newcomers but the first dungeon is stupid hard thanks to a certain "friendly" npc.

What's going on in this thread?

...

Either your pic related or Dark Souls 1 SL1 with no pyromancy

Tetris The Grandmaster 3: Terror Instinct.
Shirase mode is insane.

Yeah, but I don't know how it stacks up as an SMT game because it is the only one I've played besides Devil Survivor, which is more of an SRPG.

It's pretty fun, and I'm probably just a casual but it definitely feels like there are spikes in difficulty. I'll even collect a bunch of sidequests in a new area and ALL of them seem like they are above my level. It relies really heavily on using enemy weaknesses and buffs/debuffs. But that is why sometimes it feels a bit trial and error, because you'll hit a new enemy or boss type and not know what their weakness is, and they'll destroy you in like 2-3 turns.

.

old hunters DLC

I played this in like 6th grade. It's probably not hard per se, but still full of cheap tricks. I remember losing my shit countless times over enemies backing me into a corner and stunlocking me to death.

man that sucks, i can't imagine not liking fish
good or even decent sushi is the tastiest food

Life.

Seriously. The four hour races were taxing enough. That shit required a special kind of autism to clear.

quality post

Yes, but is it the one on the 3DS? I feel like the 3DS doesn't have very good graphics, and a game like this would probably look poor in comparison to even something on the ps2.

>I would do anything for love

Sushi is amazing you dip.

3DS never bothered me before, but it's a little hard to go back too after the Switch. I never owned the Vita, so 3DS was my benchmark for handheld. Aside from my phone I guess.

Yeap it's the one on the 3DS, and it looks good for what it is. The sprite work is hit or miss though since they brought in a lot of guest artists.

;

It's not a bad entry point. I think the big thing for transitioning into Mainline from Persona is getting use to the Press Turn system, which is pretty different from One More.

Playing it on harder difficulties is the real nightmare, but like Persona, SMT tend have the same reverse difficulty curve syndrome. Try them out sometime, though.

Even the PSP has better graphics than the New 3DS.

It does have PS2 era graphics when dungeon crawling, and it used sprites during battles. It still feels very refined within its style, though, if that makes sense. If you don't look too hard at the details and textures (which you can't because you are looking at a tiny screen), you could give a pass.

I think it took 3 hours for a much younger me to beat The Kid's unlock stages

Pity the culinaryly dim, what's the white and pink sprinkled on top?

>a much younger me

The game only came out in 2010, how fucking young can you be?

...

elite dangerous

I can't even do the first combat mission, by the time i swing my slow ass ship around to line up the enemy he's either flashing past my screen or somehow constantly behind me

fuck this shit

Literally impossible.

Dragon quest 2. It's funny cuz the entire game is a cakewalk until the end game difficulty skyrockets

Pokemon Stadium (Round 2 difficulty) with rentals. Although I dunno if a game that beats you by manipulating RNG truly counts as "difficult".

mandolined radish

Yeah they take like 70% of your fucking money though
