Can we talk about this game? Was this a genuinely good game, or do I need to take my nostalgia glasses off?

It's still a good game, don't worry.

Good game

It's still one of the greatest 3D platformers of all time and underrated

The only downside to the game is they didn't get Clancy Brown to voice Mr Krabs

>the same guy who half-assed Mr. Krabs is the guy who half-assed Mermaid Man

I hope to hell he was just someone who worked at the dev studio because if not that's embarrassing. The hell were Clancy Brown and Ernest Borgnine doing that they couldn't come in and record a half-hour of VO each?

one of my favorite ps2 games

Some guy named Joe Whyte.

Lesser known voice actor. He's voiced Mermaid Man since Borgnine died I guess

I remember a mission where you had to deliver crabby patties in the night city, but I was either autistic or the game glitched and I was never able to complete the mission since the door would't work. Does someone know about what I'm talking about?

Fucking faggot talking shit about this game in the last thread.

The only "night city" in the game is Rock Bottom, and I don't remember any Krabby Patty delivery mission in the game.
Are you talking about the Movie Game?

it's decent for a licensed game from 2003
???

That's revenge of the flying dutchman.

Anyway, I only got the movie game proper. I got BfBB... pc version...

I consider this to be the last truly great collect-a-thon, so it's not just you OP.

WOW! A promotion!

>tfw it emulates like shit for me

The latter.

Are you emulating the PS2 version or GC version?
I use Dolphin for 6th gen multiplats because it's a better emulator. Load times are still shit though.

>Load times are still shit though
All hail the PC Master Race.

I had the game as a kid and I played through the whole thing for the first sometime last year. It held up extremely well. The humor is akin to the first two seasons of spongebob, the platforming was fun, and it had some genuinely difficult sections, such the kelp forest slide and the final boss.

Would play again.

>That scene where patrick is screaming in agony while looking at his guts lying on the ground

I have nightmares every night

It's okay. That Flying Dutchman game that preceded it was shit though.

it's great. banjo charm without all the words. music isnt as great, tho.

the platforming is much better. no stiff flying non sense. late levels are goat. enemies and slides make them intense and the devs did a great job of teaching us. combat is simple, but collecting shinies is so satisfying. patrick and sandy are prettybutt, tho

Hell I still play it from time to time, shame I never see anyone talk about it. I loved how you could see all the robots you'd fought before in the 2nd hub area, made me excited to fight new enemies.

>unskippable tutorial
garbage

>unskippable

you can get out of the house in like 10 seconds flat if you know what you're doing.

Man... Thanks for making me remember. Shit. Life seems so long ago.

wat

I played the movie one which was apparently similar

>mfw Kelp Forest

It's still good. If I'm blinded by nostalgia, I'm still firmly of the opinion that it's a 7.5/10 game at the lowest
