GARLIC?
Why was Soma's game better than Alucard's game?
Alucard looked cooler and his game had the more resources. It's not fair.
>not posting maximumkino
not even LARGE.
Best Castlevania reporting in.
how to defeat alucard 2
Why did GBA games have the best aesthetics?
I like playing as Crying "Johnny" Morris.
The best Castlevanias didn't even have a Belmont.
64, COTM, SOTN
Every day Konami strays farther from God's light.
Castlekino 64? get outta here with that shit.
go to church
3d castlevania
and soma cruiser
They didn't. SotN was the peak of presentation in the series.
What is this, the remastered Criterion 4k releases of these games?
Yes.
My favorite.
why
If your Top 5 Castlevanias does not include Rondo of Blood, SCIV, Castlevania X68000, Bloodlines and Dracula X you have shit taste.
>4k screenshots
>they don't have any fancy shaders or anything
>just scaled up
For what purpose
why would you want Shaders
SCIV is very easy and boring though, and Dracula X has really low quality level design compared with other games in the series.
Those should have been original and Dracula's Curse instead.
here I got your shader user.
Just seems pointless to upscale the image so much if it's just pixelated.
>VERY colorful Belmont dashing at super hihg speed
>Bloodlines
I never liked Bloodlines. Feels cheap.
Also Dracula X is just a poor man's Rondo.
I liked it better when we called them Castlemanias
Didn't they test this thread before they released it?
For you.
Nonsense, Castlekino rolls off the tongue way better. Unless you prefer Ludovania.
>I never liked Bloodlines. Feels cheap.
Can you offer a real complaint, or is this it?
...
Die ya p(h)ony bastard
Can we talk about how the Ghosts 'n Goblins series is way better on all fronts?
Ghouls 'n Ghosts > any Classicvania
Demon's Crest > any Igavania
Maximo > any 3D Castlevania
(You)
No bait. I'm completely serious. Castlevania gets talked about way more, but Capcom did it better.
I'm interested in this
Hehe! Thank you
>64,
GTFO
>nothing has any weight or punch to it
>almost nonexistent invincibility frames
>no unlimited continues, a series staple
How has no one mentioned Super Castlekino 4 yet? The comfiest game in the series, plus whipping in 8 directions, convenient weapons, best music, I could go on
t. Brownbricks
I finished Lecarde Chronicles 2 a few minutes ago. It was very good up until the castle, then it got amazing.
There's so much cool stuff inside the castle, and the level design is great. Lots of weird, creepy things like the puppet show and the suicide room.
Play the zx spectrum game.
>watch a video of this
>most bosses are static sprites
>interest lost
part of me wants to keep playing, to finish it but I rage quit a few times already
at least it's not boring me, it goes from being enjoyable to frustrating
Only a few bosses are static sprites, and it's because it makes sense. The painting boss, for example.
I almost ragequit because I kept falling into the water at the wall. I'm glad I kept going though, because the game gets so much better once you get inside the castle.
I wanna play it and the original but the aspect ratio nonsense and the lack of controller config sucks. The layout for my 360 controller is highly uncomfortable.
Worst Castlevania
Yeah, I wish they'd try to fix some of the technical issues. The pausing for transitions to save screens drove me insane when I first started playing.
if you want to play it 4:3, play the AVM .exe
if you want to play it stretched play the regular one
you can customize the controls, it;s in the main menu
I only played Symphony of the Night, which Castlevania should I play next?
Given the fact that they live a few decades ago, she probably doesn't shave so the smell would be a bit musky with a slight smell of pee.
I suggest aria of sorrow
Hollow Knight
I'll have to check that out. Maybe go over the first one's options as well. Spanks.
Already did.
>Annoyingly dark color wise
>Grindy
>Need to farm everything with low drop rate
>Forgetable bosses
>Card base system that you need enemies to drop but have no idea who
>Bland castle
Harmony has massive issues but Circle has so little going for it that Harmeny is a fucking masterpiece.
Hit him with your sword
CotM has being the only Metroidvania with any difficulty at all going for it.
...
Minder that the meme stems from Mickey Mania having the same skeletal enemies as Castlevania.
I've never played Castlevania for more than 10 minutes, but I got all the GBA ones on my 3ds. What's the correct ordervania?
>CotM
MY FUCKIN' NIGGA.
It's difficulty is because of how awful it is. Gear is random drop but because of how low drop rate is you could be sitting on early gear half way in. And the same with potions. The game is based about the card system but noting really about it makes sense and you most likely only half half of the cards by the end of the game.
I thought it stemmed from the four legged creature show, since when I googled "castlemania" and that was first result, instigating the man on his crusade to defeat the purpile dinosaur
You're way overselling the importance of the cards. They matter, and they can help a lot, but you do not need any of them, any more thsn you NEED every drop in SotN or any other Metroidvania.
Besides, you only need 2 cards to use all of the card combo abilities anyway.
Adulthood is realising that Dracula X is better than IV.
Dracula X is just a shitty version of Rondo of Blood.
Even so, he's still correct.
