Does Mass Effect have a future after Andromeda?

Do we want it to have one?

Its dead

ME died with 3's ending.

of course

I like the ending because it's a good example of how to not write an ending.
Granted the disappointment was more so the result of a series being hyped to have important choices since the first game's release,
but it's still a really shitty ending.

it wishes it died with ME3's ending, EA continues to parade it's comatose body around a bit more until its finished with it

It should have been 3 games long, and even then one of those was a massive pile of shit. If you even slightly anticipated this game, which looked like trash ever since it was first shown, you are a fucking retard who deserves what you got.

If they get actual writers instead of a bunch of stupid fucking memelords it can be redeemed

Andromeda sold in line with EA's expectations apparently. So I'm sure it'll get a sequel.

>Same dude who makes all these shitty meme images is trying to be a Tripfag but is too poor and this is how he accommodates.

Maybe?

I think the series still has potential, they just really need to dial back on the open-world gimmick. Trying to compete with games having massive maps and annoying amounts of side-quests, as opposed to smaller more fleshed out areas that are actually populated with interesting characters, was never Bioware's strength imo.

The baffling part is that they could've phoned it in with 1 ending but at least made it a good one.

How low were their expectations?

How much it sold?

Sorry guys, it sold very well. The mass effect fan base is huge and was hungry for a new game. You had the crowd who got it before reviews and the crowd who didn't care just because it was a mass effect game.

>Does Mass Effect have a future after Andromeda?
Mass Effect MMO
>Do we want it to have one?
I don't .

It died with ME2

It died with ME1

It does. EA likes to beat dead horses until they've gone to mush. When's Dead Space 4 coming out? Or Mercenaries 3?

Reminder that Pandemic, Bullfrog, and Origin are dead and gone, and Visceral AKA EA Redwood Shores hasn't released anything since BF: Hardline.

No, it's beyond shit, the series in general. I don't understand how a game dev company made up of Polacks managed to write multiple languages for their game yet this shitty sci-fi series uses magic translators, it's a fucking immersion killer.

Sad really, they were just a few cuts from reaching legendary status

>Shep and Anderson final scene
>Outside window, Earth burning, battle raging on
>fade to black
>cue high ems 'destroy' ending
>Epilogue: Citadel DLC party
>final goodbye scene before everyone going separate ways to fix the galaxy/destroy reaper remnants
>show epilogue clips
>end credits

Have you got any hard numbers at all, Mr. EA? The only data I can find is that it topped a UK chart for a week and that EA projected to sell 3 million, only that it's sold less than all other ME games other than the first.

It was never a thing

does anyone have the blacked meme original pic with translucent background?

MEA sold about 3 million copies in the first week and had a slightly worse opening than ME3, in line with EA's expectations. Specifically NPD Marketing Research said it sold more in 1 week than HZD had in a month, and HZD sold 2.6 million in its first two weeks.

Bioware Montreal also has plans for multi-fold expansion:

Get real. The ME OT is the best epic sci-fi series since KOTOR. Yes, each game has notable flaws, but as a complete body of work nothing since even comes close.

casey hudson cant get away with this!

...

thanks

Which tells you the utterly pitiful state of Sci-fi RPGs, that that swill is lauded at all.

Bioware has their single player mmo formula down to a science, they just need actual good writers.

Yes Mass Effect has a future, they can literally keep the series going on forever by just having new characters in a new galaxy.

Daily reminder their main writer is the same faggot who wrote up that ungodly shlog for halo 4. It has no hope, especially when the aliens are so fucking lazy and so piss poorly designed.

>they can literally keep the series going on forever by just having new characters in a new galaxy.
>tfw after the Andromeda trilogy ends, they pull the same shit and have the Andromeda races + humans go to another new galaxy

why is jacob holding miranda like that?

Because Miranda has daddy issues and Jacob is black and therefore likes comically large asses. It's a perfect match.

>he didint tell the story Child to fuck off

the serise is dead as far as im concernd

Maybe.
I do.

Or do you mean the 2 Shepherd games? Because that left on a big cliffhanger.

Why the fuck did people even like ME? It was shit combat with shit story.

>expectations at start of project 6mil sales
>expectations at launch of game 1mil copies
>well it sold as much as they expected

this

in what reality do you think any developer has expected sales of 5+ million
theres like maybe 3 games in existence that get that

You know that normies love dat game. 4 of 5 frriends of mine love it. I didn't play it.

Or back to the milky way
