Did we play the same game? The Pulse Rifle is the strongest gun after explosives/final weapons and a much better use of your energy ammo than the Alien Gun or Particle Accelerator.

Once you found/unlocked that weapon you didn't need anything else.

I never play a level without it anytime I get a chance to use it. Is borderline OP but it is satisfying to use nonetheless.
