No, and that's fucking stupid.

Nope that was his steed during the dragon wars. He likely fucked off to archdragon peak really early and just hollowed there.

Also, Ornstein's armor was there because the time in the game is convoluted. His fate is left unknown and up to interpretation.

Him fucking turning into the storm drake is just as possible as Gael being guts from berserk.

Did Solaire become a giant worm?

It's not really that dumb, the entire area is filled with people that turned into dragon like creatures before death. If a human can turn into one then a creature like Ornstein could probably go even further down the path of the dragons.

DS1: Kill Ornstein
DS2: Kill old Dragon Slayer, who is confirmed to be Ornstein
DS3: Get Ornstein's armor after he presumably died in Arch Dragon Peak

How the fuck does this guy keep coming back?

the same way the player does

It's been like billions of years between the games though. Plus, how does he travel so far? What the fuck is he even DOING? At this rate From should just make a character action game starring Ornstein

Can someone tell me why there's been so many dark shills threads in this past month?

>Kill old Dragon Slayer, who is confirmed to be Ornstein
You what

When was Old Dragonslayer 'confirmed' to be Ornstein?

It's not 100% IIRC. Of course it's highly likely he is due to the fact he has the Old Leo Ring, but it's still odd he uses Dark attacks in DS2 and not his usual Lightning moveset. Also, Smough is nowhere to be found in Heide's Tower.

He could just be another dragonslayer. Just like you have a Dragonslayer Armour in DS3, it's confirmed that there are more than a single Dragonslayer in the universe.

Wasn't the Old Dragonslayer just some deranged fanboy?

ded series

patches

DS1: kill illlusion of ornstein created by gwyndolin as well as the real smough

DS2: noncannon fanfiction

DS3: find the corpse of the real ornstein who left his duty to look for the nameless king, who he was truly loyal to

Dark Souls is like Touhou, in that sometimes its SUPER hard remembering what is canon, what is super duper implied and what is straight up fanon.

Which Souls protag went through the most?

whichever one was being controlled by dsp

...

I'd say 3. They have the most options to worry over, plus they go to the Firelink Shrine back in an Age of Dark so they actually have a better idea of what the consequences are. Their actions should weigh more heavily on their mind.

Then again DS2 had some pretty bullshit areas. Fuck the gutters and the green poison cave and so many other places

"Time is convoluted" only works for co-op and invasions, it's not an excuse to fit your headcanon in the game.

This

Okay, so why the hell do NPCs fucking die for good when you kill them? Which ones are human ,and which ones are alive? Was Gael a fucking nigger?

>DS2: noncannon fanfiction

>Okay, so why the hell do NPCs fucking die for good when you kill them?
Gameplay
The only human character that isn't undead in Dark Souls 1 is Sieglinde

He's right, the crators straight up admitted that "Old Dragonslayer" was pure fanservice with no lore relevance.

for fucking real, can you source me?

You can tell yourself DS2 isn't canon as many times as you wish, it still won't make it so.

It wasn't Ornstein anyway, dipshit.

I thought it was the land of the dead. Why are there humans there?

In Dark Souls 2, are there any? What about 3?
I'd imagine that Pyromancer chick from DaS2 wouldn't be undead.

Autistic children.

She came looking for her father

...

>(((((Ornstein)))))

I would buy the shit out of that
By far their best designed character

I mean I thought the land was exclusive to the undead and monsters. If anyone can just go, why don't more people come in and colonize the land? Will we ever get a souls game where the character isn't undead?

Does this handsome chap look Jewish to you?

DS2 is almost just a high budget fan game anyways.

Because it's so dangerous the only way somebody managed to make it through and link the fire is because they were functionally immortal? Majula was sort of a colonisation, but they were already undead. Also, I think the archdrake sect in the Shrine of Amana were alive - they were operating in a very organized fashion.

>dark souls 2
>relevant
>not directed by Miyazaki
Nioh is more of a Souls game than DS2

No one goes because its full of hollows and monsters and shit and death is near-certain, it's just a really shitty place and from what some of the NPCs say the lands they came from were in much better shape and still had human populations. There's not much reason to go there unless you're undead.

Yes. Extremely.

The character in 3 isn't undead, is he? Though being Unkindled seems pretty much the same thing.

An Unkindled is a hybrid of undeath and life.

Their attempt at kindling the flame prevents their humanity from leaving them, preventing them from going hollow, and can only go hollow with the addition of dark sigils to the body.

But one must be undead to even attempt to kindle the flame, so they are undoubtedly undead.

Not to mention the main character is repeatedly referred to as undead.

Gael was a good fight, but it's like he was supposed to be a fight before the real big bad, if that makes sense.

It was an unbelievably shitty end to the series. If that was the intention, bravo, because he was only one step ahead of fucking Necron in terms of "who is this fucking guy?"

I wished it would've been the primordial serpents, but maybe I'm just a dumbfuck.

A unkindled is a undead who tried to relight the flame but got burnt to ash because they weren't strong enough.

After reviving the 4 lords of Cinder and them refusing to go to their thrown, they resurrected several unkindled with ties to each of the Lord of Cinder in hopes to bring them back.

So you are kinda like a revived undead, however you won't hollow till you talk to Yoel of Londor.

Probably the first one. I say this because most of the boss fights in the Souls games are mercy killings to burned out godlike beings, but the chosen undead actually fought against Manus in his full strength.

Nito wasn't weakened either, was he?

Or did Pinwheel cucking him out of kindling really do that much?

He was barely awake and pinwheel was doing ratchet shit in his basement.

Did we killed Nito for anything else than the soul?. i mean, witch was spawing demons, seath was insane and raping chicks and the 4kings were memed by Kate and shitting darkness. Nito seems like he was just sleeping in his coffin

I just started playing The Ringed City and noticed this, is there a connection between these guys? It's the same area but in different time after all.

>skeleton boss
>we don't actually have a bone to pick with him

woah...

yeah but not that one

those are serpent men, the one from sen's fortress.

Frampt says it himself, they've outlived their usefulness and you need to kill them to satiate the lordvessel

No, that's wrong broacho. Did you just ignore all of the meditating dragon people or the fact that multiple characters in the game sought the path of the dragon? Hawkwood the Deserter, Ocewhatever his name is the consumed king, etc.

Yes, i know we are collecting souls but every other lord boss kill was also some public service.

The Harald Legion were a bunch of assholes who fucked up, much like the ruin sentinels. They were not manikens.

Actually the daughter was simply collecting humanity for her sister. Her dead mother is the one that made demons.

youtube.com/watch?v=q_K5vsuW4Uw

Weren't the sentinels just magically animated empy armours?

Yes, he was the only one minding his own fucking business. He even gives you one of his swords, you ungrateful asshole.

Too bad his covenant didn't work. I wish a covenant like his existed in 3 to inflict perma red phantom AIDS on people's worlds.

>makes a bunch of animated skeletons
>skeletons are super aggro making it completely unsafe to even visit the graveyards
>nothing wrong

By witch i mean the witch of izalith who turned into the bed of chaos. I would spared spidertits but bitch started the fight and dint surrender

I believe the lore states they were humans who made the trek long before the events of DaS 2 who then somehow became animated armor or whatever the fuck in 2 later on for some reason.

He was a giant pile of skeletons, what more reason could you need?

Stay the fuck out of the graveyard, asshole. It's disrespectful.

:^)

even if it wasn't buggy the fact that you can't see what's happening in the world you cucked is what makes it shit

>Kill old Dragon Slayer, who is confirmed to be Ornstein
I though old dragon slayer he was just a soldier in Orns's divition

>it was a hologram

>The Old Dragonslayer is reminiscent of a certain knight that appears in old legends.

This is pretty much the give away people are taking from it.

>Stoneplates are symbols of true knights, and yellow stoneplates are granted to those who would become dragons.

Sheeeiiitt

DS1: Powerful illusion from Gwyndolin
DS2: Fanboy
DS3: Ornstein's armor & weapon is left near the area where you do the boss fight with Nameless King, no body is found with it. Dragon's Peak has people try to become dragons. He became a fucking Dragon.

With the 'convoluted time' concept it's possible most characters are already dead in the world you're in, and just visiting from a different time where they're still alive.

Solaire says: We are amidst strange beings, in a strange land. The flow of time itself is convoluted; with heroes centuries old phasing in and out. The very fabric wavers, and relations shift and obscure. There's no telling how much longer your world and mine will remain in contact. But, use this, to summon one another as spirits, cross the gaps between the worlds, and engage in jolly co-operation!

If he's phased into your world from his own, other NPCs could be too. In almost every case of getting an NPC's armor, they don't drop it themselves. They fade away to nothingness when they die and then you can find their armor somewhere else on an old emaciated corpse.

DS1 Ornstein was not an illusion, he drops his soul

silver knights alse drop their souls and they were illusions

They definitely hadn't though that far ahead yet for Ornstein's story.

He maybe gave his soul to Gwyndolyn so she could make the illusion. After all 4 kings soul and Seath's soul is fragments of gwyn.

>Fagstein is such a fanboy magnet that Miyazaki has to bullshit his way out of killing him not once, but twice, just so autists can keep creaming their pants over him in every game

Yeah i think you're just stupid.

>she

that shit would burn

>discussing souls ((lore))
give up already, we all know hidetaka "hey do you guys like berserk" miyazaki has a severe case of plothole syndrome.

No, that's Priscilla's mother.

Did they fuck?

Go away Ashen Hollow, I'm already watching your shitty videos

This looks exactly like my brother who works for Google and we jokingly call a Jew, this is fucking hilarious I'm saving it.

Kill yourself ashen hollow

>Twisted great Hammer associated with Smough, the last knight to remain at his post, guarding the ruined cathedral
