As far as rhythm games goes it's one of the worst/most casual. Used to play it a lot 4-5 years ago, still pop in for Sup Forums rooms once in a while.

The game is just flawed in too many ways. A score system that revolves heavily around a combo based system is not good. It barely factors in accuracy and rewards you for it, the community is questionable and filled with a fuckton of anime openings recorded at 240p and completely terrible and inaccurate beatmaps that jump from the foreground instruments to background instruments you can barely even hear. And the fact that it's community driven isn't even a bad thing, games like LR2 and Stepmania do very well, it's just a majority of the osu community is pants on head retarded weebs
