Leave the Dualshock 4 to me

Leave the Dualshock 4 to me.

I knew there were ice cubes inside those things but balls too? Damn...

Is 12 switch the only game that uses the hd rumble? Mario kart 8 doesnt use it properly

can i hear the semen when i shake your balls

Unironically more comfortable than the DS4.

It bloody well does.
Wheel spinning at the start feels remarkably real. Caught me off guard.
You wouldn't know if you don't drive or just drive automatic (stick shift).

It's the exact feeling you get through the steering wheel as the slipping tires vibrate through the drive shaft and up the steering shaft into the wheel.

can this work as a wii mote?

if Twilight Princess HD is released with normal controls and motion controls option, can the joy cons do what the wii motes did?

>can the joy cons do what the wii motes did?
Yes they can

Which control type? Dual joycon, single joycon or procontroller?

Dual joycon and pro controller.

Wait the IR cam can detect SHAPES? The fuck kind of insane future do we live in?

>leave the games to m-

Does Fast RMX use HD rumble? The rumble feels intense as fuck, but not really special. Just loud and intense.

Why? Joycon is among the worst controllers ever

Is the HD rumble even effective?
Is it as smooth as its name implies?
Or is it just a standard vibration thing

What the hell is the IR camera for?

It's probably a stupid question, but are they as bad to use as they look?

They look fucking tiny and the layout is bizarre.

as of now, playing hamburger eating-minigame in 1-2 switch.

I doubt we will see any good use of it in proper games.

they're fine, maybe really big "fat" hands will have problems but I like them. especially comfy to play separated.

It's not about the size (altough yes, they are stupid small and that does have a bad impact) it's the fact that the analog sticks are directly below/above the face buttons, so your thumb will always be cramped, not in a natural relaxed positions like normal controller that have an "arc" between the analogs and face buttons.

>High definition rumble
What?

This.
I really hope there will be a Switch 2 of some sort.
They can't let joycons in that state.

Oh shit I didn't realize it had analog triggers, comfortable button placement, useful gimmicks, headphone jack or a d-pad that isn't ass.
Someone else take over I can't do it.

They are actually ok, but I keep thinking I'm going to break mine from extensive use. The analog sticks and buttons are really thin and flimsy.

>(((HD Rumble)))

>touch pad
>useful gimmicks
(You)

>headphone jack
Omg don't tell me the Switch hasn't it...

The DualShock 4 is a decent gamepad but it has way too many mechanical flaws.

try muting the sound and holding the joycon up to your ear when you pick up a coin

Downgraded to digital triggers.

Idort here. In terms of controllers I'd say it goes

>Xbone
>360
>Steam controller
>DS4
>Switch Pro
>Wii U Pro
>DS3

Shit I forgot classic Switch. I guess I'd throw it above the Wii U pro. Not bad for Mario Kart, but I can't see myself playing anything too intensive on it

Puyo tetris has some pretty nice rumble on it when you do tetris, and when you get hit with garbage the controller shakes along with your board getting hit.
Blaster master neo has some good rumble as well when shooting and especially when charging a shot.
And technically there's the shitty superman 64 game that's supposed to replicate a motorcycle, but fuck if I'm touching that shovelware.

Honestly the only use I could've come up with it was iai slashes from the hip.

Three extra buttons and swiping are very much useful gimmicks compared to HD-rumble and Amiibo reader, especially on PC.

The pad has it, but if you use it as a console you can't use headphones connected to the controller. I thought the grip you can put the joycons in would have one but it doesn't.
Neither does Switch Pro controller.

Good list. I haven't gotten a Steam Controller yet and would switch DS4 and 360, but otherwise the same.

I got the Steam controller on sale for $15 and it's probably one of my favorite purchases. The touchpads work really well, and it has "HD rumble" like the Switch.

I find myself using it most for web browsing, super convenient to just one pad to move the mouse, the other to scroll and just lean back in my chair and browse

>joycons are smaller than DS2 and DS3
SONY BTFO!

NINTNEDO WON!

>Wii U Pro controller that low

80 hour battery life

Wired controllers have infinite battery life, amigo

$15 is really low. Would you recommend it for full price?
>I find myself using it most for web browsing
That's pretty much what I'd use it for too. Can you use it properly without big picture mode yet? Remember there was problems with that. Toggling an on-screen keyboard with a button or something like that would be nice.

Not him but agree with him. I don't like Wii U Pro because how cheap it feels. Shiny piano black finish is ass.

>Three extra buttons and swiping
DUDE TOUCH THE PAD BECAUSE WE HAVE TO BE ORIGINAL L M A O
Fuck off, as bad as amiibo can be, as least it's a neat part. not TOUCH LMAO

testicles only contribute to 2-5% of the total volume of semen. the prostate and seminal vesicles produce the 98-95% made of fructose and enzymes.

The controls are so shit, it makes the 3DS look comfortable.

>more buttons is worse than 1/5th the priceof the controller spent on activating physical DLC.
Most games don't use the "touch" part, just the buttons underneath. Gravity Rush 2 has you swiping up and down to switch gravity styles and Tearaway Unfolded makes you draw with it which works surprisingly well. Besided those I haven't seen it used like that.
Stop shitposting this was a cozy thread.

I don't know if I'd pay $50 for it. $30 for sure, maybe $40.

They fixed the issues with big picture mode a bit ago. Now you just press the stick in and it brings up the keyboard. Pressing steam button once brings up steam, pressing it twice opens big picture

I'll be sure to pick it up when it's on sale in the future, then, because that seems really nice.
Though, what's up with the messed up characters? Just a graphical bug or consistent?

...

Its only in the screenshot, I have no idea why

Why do testigles dangle outside of our bodies?

Alright, I'm weak to that stuff so just asking.

That's interesting if it's true.

Segsual exzitement :-DDD

>no analog triggers

That makes all racing games shit by default

Is MK still using A for acceleration?

Balls need the right temperature, which is lower than the average body temperature, to function

They're fine, if you don't get tired of it. You're basically holding the joycons in each one of your hands so you aren't forced in the standard controller position and can instead hold it in any way that you like. The sticks are small but in general don't really bother. They don't have flick-back which is nice as it can bother in games like binding of isaac where charged shots are fucked up by the stick flicking into the opposite direction of which you've aimed the stick when releasing it.

In general I would wish for analog triggers but that's about it.

>racing games on anything but wheel + pedals
Literally gagged

Let's be honest, anything is more comfortable than a PS controller

>not racing on bongos

>i need my century old configuration or i may figuratively burst

sorry about your autism, it might have been justified back in the 4th and 5th gen days but better alternatives exist now

>better alternatives exist now
Then why are we still driving cars with wheels and pedals?

>BUT IT'S [CURRENT YEAR] SO DOING IT THIS ASS BACKWARDS WAY IS OBJECTIVELY BETTER SINCE EVERYONE'S DOING IT NOW

Meant for
Congratulations. How does it feel to know that your stupidity has negatively affected the ability of those around you?

>less precise input and no physical feedback is better because I'm underage and have never driven a car

This. They could've made ZR and ZL pressure sensitive at least.

Not everyone is willing to spend hundreds of dollarydoos on a wheel.

And those who are are probably gonna have a gaming PC with Assetto Corsa instead.

It's kind of a shame, really, because I'd personally love to see something like Dirt 4 or Dirt Rally on the Switch.

That's not what my Japanese hentais tell me.

Like what?

Jesus Christ. No wonder they're charging $80 for a real controller.

I found them surprisingly nice. Try them out for more than ten minutes, and you'll get used to them.

I haven't used the grip yet, though, I don't see the need.

I fixed the joycon design Sup Forums
What do I win?
Will Nintendo hire me now?

that's much better with the positioning
Still shit because:
-no d-pad
-no analog triggers
-small analogs (Vita-like, not nearly as good as DS4/Xbone)
-small

Another pic w/ the grip
Ideally they would have analog triggers and be 10-20% larger
I can live with no d-pad for the sake of usability as a standalone controller

Also they could easily release right joycons with Gamecube controller button layouts for the inevitable Smash port, and the whole thing together would have nearly the same shape and layout as a Gamecube controller would.

you actually made it worse, because now you'd have to support most of the weight with your fingertips instead of your palm

>now you'd have to support most of the weight with your fingertips instead of your palm
Joycons are already so small that you have to hold them with your fingers and not your palm anyway
Held horizontally you can't possibly palm them
Held vertically, if you palm them, then in order to press the face buttons your thumb bumps into the analog stick, so if you're playing anything that uses both you have to support it with your fingers. That's the whole reason the grip exists, so that your palms have something to grab and your thumb can still get at the analog stick and the buttons separately, because they knew about this problem.

I can fully grab them in vertical mode without problem.
If I grabbed them fully with your design, I'd have to move my thumb waaay too far outwards to use the left analog stick / right buttons.
And no, I don't bump into any analog sticks or whatsoever when using the buttons, I can fully grip the whole joycon and use every button without problems or cramps

>I can fully grip the whole joycon and use every button without problems or cramps
Really?
How do you get your thumb over the analog stick?
I can do it but I can't keep it up for more than like a minute before I have to stop.

Having the stick parallel to the buttons works just fine. For as long as the stick is above the buttons.
Asymmetrical stick placement was a mistake.
