These are the laziest threads. Post reasons WHY you chose the games you did.

At least -discuss- vidya in some sense.

Name one person who has Spy Fiction on their favs you twat

That's the only one I'll give you. Don't kid yourself: Typing of the Dead, Madworld, Anarchy Reigns, Sin and Punishment, Oddworld - it's not obscure. Now stop trying to be a special snowflake and rate the games based on their quality, and not their popilarity.

>The point of 3x3 is to find new games and recommend and gush over great games
> Everyone and their mother has played RDR , New Vegas , Majora , etc.

Finally a great 3x3

Your newfaggotry is showing for two reasons:
1. The point of these threads from the beginning was to showcase your nine favorites in no particula order.
2. If you browsed here for a while, you'd still stumble upon new games to play, stuff outside the Sup Forumscore.

Which is your favorite game out of all of those?2/2
Sure

>Dark Souls
Mostly nostalgia, I played it when I was 13 and it would end up having a major influence on the types of games I would enjoy. Truly made me realize how important atmosphere is in games, and the difference between having good atmosphere and bad atmosphere in games is what I feel seperates games that use the medium well from games that don't
>Planescape: Torment
What more is there to say? Some of the best writing there is in vidya, and not only is the writing phenomenal, but the amount of choice you have in shaping dialogue and the story is unrivalled. The characters are all quirky and memorable, and every time you play through the game you just gain even more appreciation for it.
>Xenogears
This one I've always had mixed feelings about. As I get older, my feelings on the game have changed a lot. The story has a fuckton of plotholes, the second disk is a mess, but I still have to give credit for the game for just the things it tried to do. I ended up finishing the game despite it being rather boring and tedious at times just for the thrill of seeing what crazy plot twist the game would throw next. It has a solid atmosphere, and it's one of the few jrpgs from the playstation1 era that really captured me.
>FE5
I've always been on the fence between either this one or FE4 for being on the list. Both have far away the most interesting worlds and characters of all the fire emblem games, though fe5 edges out fe4 for me for a few reasons. One being Leif, who is one of the most interesting protagonists ive ever enjoyed following in a game. Secondly, the gameplay is much more interesting. It's challenging and ruthless, but it also gives you a lot more freedom in terms of building your party, and I heavily enjoyed the addition of scrolls. Plus, I enjoyed the smaller scale of fe5 to fe4.

No bully

Is Sims 4 actually that good? It seemed to me worse than Sims 3 in every way except graphically, and in ways I'm not entirely sure expacs could fix. Maybe I'll try pirating it when the last major expac comes out, whenever the fuck that is.

...

I lost my pic so here you go, in no particular order:

Deus Ex
Oblivion
Dark Souls
Zelda: BotW
Paper Mario 64

Honestly those 5 are my big favourites, the rest are still good but as good as the others:
Asscreed 2
Undertale
Runescape (07 era)
Fable: The Lost Chapters

cont

>System Shock 2
Yet again another game with amazing atmosphere. The combination of strong atmosphere with heavy amounts of player choices and freedom automatically elevates a game to the highest tiers. Not much more to say that hasn't been said.

>Fallout: New Vegas
The pure, and simple joy of role-playing. Wandering around the wasteland, watching the game open up with more and more choices available the farther you go. I enjoyed the unique setting compared to other RPGs, which is also one of the reason ps:t stood out for me as well

>Tactics Ogre
Quite possibly my favorite game on the list. Fun SRPG gameplay, a solid story which never overextends itself and remains elegant every time I play through it. Such an underrated gem considering it has to live in the shadow of FFT, though I consider it superior to that game in pretty much every way.

>NieR
Yoko Taro's best game. I've always felt the lore of the Taroverse was one of the least interesting things about it, and the truly great part of these games where the characters. Specifically, the way character's react and get emotionally invested in the events around them. Yoko Taro is a master at this (if only this) and in shines in NieR better than any other game. I didn't really find the gameplay all that terrible as well (especially compared to drakengard), and the magic system was pretty cool. Automata was a worthy sequel, but doesn't quite reach the same heights this one did. Also the OST is amazing.

>Nocturne
For a game with such a low budget, it always boggles my mind how they were able to create such an engrossing low-res hellscape atmosphere. One of my favorite games just for walking around. Press turn is a bit unrefined here, especially compared to smt4 and 4a, but it's still plenty fun, and hard mode adds lots of replayability. True ending is pretty memorable, and it even features dante from devil may cry. What else is there to say?

one of those lists where I've played every series on the list but not every specific game. can tell you have good taste though

A lot of people still prefer Sims 3 at the moment because (assuming you have the expansions) there is a lot more stuff to do in Sims 3.

That being said, the Sim creator in 4 is infinitely better than the Sim creators in the previous games and I can't bring myself to go back to the older games.

You do it in other posts so you don't rate others rates.

Risk, Island Defense, Dark Deeds?, Vampiresim, Enfos. If yes Muh fucking nigga.

I'll bite:

>Fallout 3
This is the one I'd imagine needs the most justification. It's true that the main story is garbage, but I genuinely love the game as a fun sandbox RPG. NV might have had better writing and faction interplay, but it really fails in the exploration/ dungeon crawling departments, which is where FO3 excelled.

>Hitman BM
Games with this much freedom in regards to approach are a rare breed. Plus it hits all the right notes in regards to atmosphere, pacing and level design. The game only has two flaws: some forced boss fights near the end, and the fact that trespassing isn't a crime. 2016 has better gameplay and more content, but things like having no newspapers or notoriety really make it hard to put it over BM.

>Kingdom Hearts 1
KH2 has great combat and atmosphere, but that's all it has going for it. I still like KH2, but I have to put 1 over it because it has better level design and a script that doesn't make me cringe.

>Yakuza 0
I like action games, melodrama, hype and humour. I can't wait for Kiwami so I can play through the rest of the series.

Fair enough. I'll probably look up the more essential expacs and addons and see if there's enough stuff I like in there.

At least it's better than loading up S3 again and having to see the save file that my ex-gf and I made with our little house on the side of a mountain with all of our horses and the secret nook where she can read and drink tea while I listen to Death Grips and a tree growing through the living room which we planted together.

>Alpha Protocol
One of the best worst games I've ever played.

MGS3, DMC3, SH2 and KotoR are all really good though.

That's a good way to put it. It's like Deadly Premonition: it's an objectively bad game, but it's an absolutely great one.

I'm replaying earthbound right now. it ought to be on my list. I haven't played it in years and it holds up well.

Arcanum is great. I need to replay that one soon.

4/7.

never beat major's mask, metroid prime, and tales symphonia. symphonia wasn't for me. I quit about 20 hours into it. I've never been able to click with any of the tales combat from 1 to gamecube era.

3/5

oops forgot pic.

I find solace in the fact that despite Nintendo America's asshole behaviour for the Mother series, my love for Earthbound finally paid off when the indie crowd churned out Undertale
