Sonic games are too linear. What Sega should have done is try to make level designs more similar to a mario game with 3d sonic mechanics.

The zones are all remade you fucking autists it's not a fucking copy paste, have you even seen the fucking vids for god's sake, Green Hill act 1 now contains a miniboss like 3&K games. Complaining a zone has the same tileset when everything else is different (heck they even included an underground part in green hill and garbage part in flying battery, which yeah, you guessed it, weren't in the originals) is autistic as fuck.

I got generations for christmas and beat in in 2 and half hours on the same day. I miss when sonic games were long

what color pallet or style is this? A lot of old sonic comics and games had it, and just seeing it back heightens my nostalgia goggles.

can't wait! playing through colors now for the first time, the first few levels were great and really fast, now the stages I'm at are pretty slow paced

But he made the most fucntional version of Sonic CD. The goal of that Sonic CD version was to port the game not change the levels.

my only gripes with CD are the spin dash and the way you time travel can really fuck up a run, like give me an B button command while at top speed if I wanna time travel, don't just pull me out of the stage like that

I don't think it's nearly as bad as you're saying, they merged Act.1 & 2 from the original game into one and it's pretty much just the main path while completely new upper & lower paths are made and even then still it was modified a decent amount, plus as a bonus now the elemental shields are there which can help change how you play the stage. Don't get the wrong idea though, I understand a bit of the disappointment you have, I do also wish it was all 100% new but I'm still also happy with this, I'm pretty much in the middle ground.
