Outside of 2 getting reworked I don't see why we need a remaster of 3-5 yet. They all still hold up graphically and mechanically whereas 1 and 2 really show their age at times just from the fixed angles and all the loading screens alone.

Sega is just Japanese. Japan hates PC, it's almost as if computers bombed them or something.

All Sega games sold very good in Japan alone, the best one to mention would be Yakuza series which sells so much in Japan that they shit out those games each year.
Plus Yakuza series always had some licensing issues in the west so porting it to PC would be even a bigger problem.

Im genuinly sad that other platforms don't get to experince Yakuza and i have been playing since release in 2005.

Yakuza 5 left me feeling jaded and as tired as Kiryu looked, then Yakuza 0 came out and it was EXACTLY what the series needed. Kiryu needs more YOUTH stories. We need to have Yakuza focus on Kiryu and majima again and not "a bunch of rando civilians" like Yakuza 4 started the trend of.

Yakuza 0 made me feel alive for vidya again, i got fucking chills when KUZEEEEEEEEEEE happened. The Yakuza series is all about "what is the essence of a real man" its dramatic and awesome and eternal hype once again.

Its a fantastic series in its own niche and i wish you could all experince it because i know when a game is exclusive to one platform its easy for people to just say "it was shit anyway, keep your shit game" but it really is fuckig GOAT tier as a series.

Why? Akiyama was fantastic and completely on par with Kiryu (Hana coming back to Akiyama and him having that entire moment with her was 10/10), and Tanimura/Saejima both had their pluses and were enjoyable to play as. It was nice to see them take the center stage with Kiryu getting to live his life before briefly getting whisked into everything again. The man needs a break, not to constantly get roped into the Tojo Clan's dilemmas over and over again.

I'd rather have them make a new protagonist and have Kiryu be the equivalent of a Komaki to the new person than anything else since he's already in his 50s by the time 6 rolls around. Kiryu's already been in seven games, one of which isn't canon, why does he need to be the only main character of the series when it's clear they want to be done with Kiryu's story and need to find really absurd ways to get him to come back yet again? They've shown they can easily do new characters from 4 alone and make them likeable, we don't need to sit on Majima and Kiryu's stories forever.

Yeah, he is, but at some point you have to let him rest. Plus, 0 was the origin story, you can't really go any farther back since 2 somewhat shows his life with Fuma and 0 is his entire early Yakuza career. There's nowhere for you to work with it outside of him being asspulled into a random story during a very random time during 0's events or something directly before 1 but after the end of 0 that not a single person every recalled happening in 6 games.

Just get Kiwami at this point. The one guy behind the Kenzan/3 fan patch projects commented he tried doing the udub for 1 but it had problems with them being unable to extract the voices or something? I can't remember what he said exactly.

Shimano, Yuya, and GARY BUSTERRRRRRRR HOLMES all had great choices for voices. I just can't unsee The Joker from Majima and it doesn't work for me compared to the eccentric "Kiryu-chan" even though everyone else seems to love Mark Hamill as Majima. Kiryu and Date are both really weird after hearing the JP voices for so long as well, Kiryu kind of works but Date sounds really off.

yakuza is a sitcom that is best experienced sitting on couch, treat the game like you would an episode of 30-60 mins per day.

But I don't want to buy a PS4 just for this game.

After 1 and 2 every game has cut songs, mini games and some sub stories, but it varies depending on title.
From 5 to 0 they only cut licensed songs.

What substories got cut from 4 onward? 4 isn't missing anything but the song and Answer x Answer and has 63 substories in the JP version according to kouryakutsushin.com/ryu4/, same as the English one. 5 has the song missing and I also think Answer x Answer and has 78 substories in both EN and JP (dswiipspwikips3.jp/ryu5/substory.html), and Dead Souls has 60 just like Of the End (kouryakutsushin.com/ryu-oftheend-wiki/)

Only 3 has cut substories like the one guy trying to either teach English or asking something in English, I'm not sure, the suicidal guy and his girlfriend, the Taichi nude mag stuff, and there's one other substory I'm forgetting.

I doubt they would go with prequel Kiryu, from what I've heard he was the #1 suggested character for the guest fighters, I'm already considering buying Tekken 7 but Kiryu would seal the deal for me

Pratically every audio line is not an unique file on its own, multile lines lies into another files and those changes when you load the game, turning into a mess.
When he undubbed with the automatic (and common) way, used on most games, he spawned like 25 female bartenders inside the bar just by loading the game.
Each file has to be manually modified and there are like +1000 files, it would had taken months or more.
