the last halo literally came out 2 years ago. the new one probably still has a good year of development left at least. what's the point of showing off halo 6 when it's not even out this year. even phil spencer himself said in his ign podcast that they've made mistakes by announcing games years too early and it's left a bad rep for them e.g. scalebound or sony with GoW which has basically 0 hype now.

except this is false. even games with pro patches don't have better textures or downsampling. just look at rise of the tomb raider on the pro, it uses the xbox one textures and also games like the recently released outlast 2 have a pro patch but no downsampling support. by default the xbox scorpio will downsample as it's built into the operating system, the same goes for "boost mode".

the fact the pro has only 0.5gb of extra vram over the base ps4 (about 6gb in total) will hamper it when it comes to very high quality geometry and textures at 4k. MS didn't include 12gb vram with 8 dedicated to games for no reason. high resolution games need a lot of vram. all the higher end gpu like the gtx 1070 and above all come with 8gb because it's a necessity for the resolutions those gpu are targeted towards.

Why won't they just bring it to PC? Sales on it for Xbox are slowed waaay the fuck down, if they released the Mater Chief collection on to Steam everyone would be happy. (((343))) could make a shit ton of dosh with minimal work, and PC fans could play the games on their PC.

Halo3 doesn't need to ne remade. It looks pretty good (dated but fine). And its on the 360. HaloCE and Halo2 made sense because they were on original xbox and older.

the MCC was only a disaster cause M$ decided to turn H2A into it and didn't increase the the development time. If 343 was allowed to give Halo 3 the H2A treatment.... and in 4k AND on the PC? It might, just might, restore my faith in them.

I'm just surprised people still care about the series after reach. What is it about the game people still enjoy? The story for 4 and 5 was garbage. Not to mention the multiplayer lost it's charm.
