George feels like the kind of person who can make a detailed point about a given subject, but his problem is that he drones on and on. His voice is exhausting to listen to and he's frustratingly long-winded. His videos are too long and he spends too much time basically rambling about nothing.

the guy really does know how to drag a point into irrelevance. a lot of the time i imagine he sits there and writes his videos out with a pen in one hand and a thesaurus in the other. doesn't help that his delivery is terrible and he opts for terrible, unfunny gimmicks like his breath of the wild rhyme review.

Automata does nothing different. It doesn't approach the themes it presents in any meaningful or unique way. It just walks the same ground as countless other works and presents no new or interesting discussion points. Automata says absolutely nothing we haven't heard a million times before.

It's the only philosopher out of the list mentioned in-game he's read. The Kierkegaard bit was the most interesting to me since he's the one I've read the most.
Also this game is a Nietzschean/Theist rejection of existentialism. You are LITERALLY prompted to deny life has no meaning to get the true ending, how did SBH miss that?

We discussed the games flaws at length in nearly every thread post release. Yes, some of that discussion even happened in those "2B's butt" threads you probably ignored just by face value of the OP. I'm very willing to admit some of my complaints with the game as well if you were to ask. But some of the complaints being thrown around are so blatant of people just trying to go against the grain. Same thing happened with Zelda, same thing is happening now to some extent with Persona. Genuinely good, if flawed, games are being shit on by faggots that are annoyed that something is being praised.

I took it as more of a "find your own meaning through yourself and your will instead of some externally-assigned purpose" message rather than a straight-up denial. A2 was arguably already there, but 2B and 9S are put in a position where all they previously knew was meaningless, the organization which made them and gave them false purpose is gone and they're left more or less alone and independent to find their own way.
