The first hour of BW
every part of system shock 2 is "that part" after the first few hours. its somehow still great though
Everything after Ornstein & Smough
That shopping center part before it gets REAL BAD was okay I thought
>come back to game
>reach that part
Looking for Baal?
Literally the most fun part of SS2.
yeah that part was prettt good too actually
it will always be a constant reminder of what they once were
Its so easy to blow through all of it in P3 compared to 4/5 though. You just gotta spend 20 minutes grinding in the bonus dungeon at the beginning of the game man and you're basically set.
RIF captain Bannon ;_;7
>go into cargo bays with tons of ammo and weapons
>leave the cargo bay wielding a wrench with no ammo left and every weapon broken to shit
Fuck the cargo bays.
...
Bayonetta is full of "that part"s.

That area teaches you early that the Wrench is your waifu and you should get every mod related to it.
The Many will always be "that part" of System Shock 2.
>There are people on Sup Forums who don't think Bayo 2 is superior to the original
>want to replay game
>entire game is that part
There's only one of those, and it's the replicator you must hack to get the bomb. Even then if you just save a ICE pick you're good.
>inb4 hurr durr research
you are explicitly told to buy the skill with the points your given. The game has plenty of issues, but it's mostly the rushed last half and the fucked up balance of standard weapons being so much better than everything else, but at this point if you're playing without secmod you should neck yourself.
>The Many will always be "that part" of System Shock 2.
pretty much the entire game after you enter the second ship or whatever is "that part" because it was basically unfinished and rushed. the more I think about it, the more it seems like SS2 as a whole is a fucking mess but somehow it works.
>the more I think about it, the more it seems like SS2 as a whole is a fucking mess
It's a miracle it's as good as it is considering the team that worked on it had next to no money for development which, as you said, is super apparent when you enter the final act of the game
I just hate how empty is feels in the snowy area of the game.
The ice ramp is top tier though
>Not the Rickenbacker and The body of the Many.
I have never seen the quality of a game nosedive so spectacularly as it did in the last couple of hours of SS 2.
That is not an unfamiliar story in games. Vtm:B, Arcanum (and frankly, those who played both original Fallouts prior to years of patching and fixing), New Vegas, Stalker, Pathologic, Mount and Blade... some of the greatest projects were born out of either passion with insufficient funds (or techné), or improvisation and having to deal with unfavorable development conditions.
Almost all of the best games I know were "mess" in one way or another.
It's another reason why the recent weird new wave of extreme nitpicking and whinning on this board is starting to get to me. About 80% of everything said that is not just flat-out shitposting is people looking for that one single fault of a game in order to condemn the bulk of it. And that is not the same as being critical and demanding: that is just shitty attitude of people more concerned to complain than looking for those (still rare!) things that could elevate the few really good titles.
The last hours of SS2 were fucking painful
>Hacker
>It's clearly the soldier
What did user mean by this?
i played this part like 2 weeks ago, much easier than i remembered from years ago. I did use a 360 controller because i'm better at flying with it though.
>implying the soldier isn't also potentially a hacker
>implying the hacker wasn't a corporate shill soldier
