Dragon's Dogma

>Hard mode
>It's actually easier than easy
>NG+
>Steamroll through everything.
What do? Are there any mods that fix this? I want a more challenging game, but having all that exp means it's only hard for 10 minutes.

Also Dragon's Dogma thread.
Post best bosses, best outfits, best riftsluts or stories.

Bumperoni.

Has this game been forgotten already? General was still up a few months ago. It's pretty sad.

There is a experience mod that makes leveling far slower, look for it on nexus

Why can't I block with a greatsword? You can't dodge, so the only way to avoid attacks is to awkwardly hobble away.

wish someone would make a mod to fix those disgusting square rocks

Because you have hella lot of range and heavy armor. You still can dodge by jumping.
So far the funniest class I've ever played was assassin with daggers and shield.
>Using my shield to send my pawns flying to get the enemies faster.
>dodging cuhrayzee fast
>blocking that which I can't dodge and doing tons of damage.
Just perfect in every way.

I'm thinking about making a scavenger run. (can't buy anything, even consummables)
I think it's doable because there are lots of vines and nice things to be harvested. The world is just beautiful.

one of my favorite games of all time tbqh. it was really confy

magick archer.

> full trophy set
>ancient circlet
>divine embrace
>dragon leather vest
>silk tights

It just feels kinda dumb, especially when they basically enticed me to play as Guts my first playthrough due to having him as a preset.
I'm still very impressed by how customizable everything is, though.

First playthrough was Guts as well. I tried a no pawn run. Kinda makes sense to dodge with jump+airslash and sprintjump. I ended up using a Schierke pawn as a support (halfgame).
then bitch got so OP that I pretty much got carried

the damage calcs are fucked and completely ruin the game

>when you dress your thicc pawn in trophy's
I don't care how unoriginal it is, that shit's the best

Am I the only one who starts with a scrawny, young MC and uses metamorphosis to grow old, stronger and with more scars?
Wish more games did this.

Fable 2 did that.

...

Did anyone else know you can throw the explosive barrels on ore deposits and all the ore flies out?

You can also hit them with heavy weapons with the same effect

Or use comestion.

Warrior playthrough is objectively the most fun, second to MA. Until you get to BBI.

There isnt a mod that changes stats unfortunately

I dont know if its because people cant or didnt bother. It wouldn't take much though, putting in a class cannon mode would make the game a hell of a lot more difficult and fun.

You just have to gimp yourself somehow.

Ranger is the best class

The longbow is OP as fuck

Give me DD pictures. Pictures of spiderman.

I just found out today. Never used explosive barrels, turns out they're pretty good.
My favorite was thief playthrough.
>Dodge, roll, double-jump, slide, kick your enemies to jump even higher and steal from them while your badass pawn grabs them. I also like fighter and warrior because you can grab and kick enemies a la Golden Axe.
Feels good.
>TFW there are mods that change that, but do the opposite.

Is this game any good on console?

I had planned on doing that. I created a young blonde haired kid basing his appearance on a mix of Link and Peter Pan but the problem I didn't expect was that playing as a kid was the most fun I've had in DD yet and how his appearance ended up was perfect for me. So much like Pan he's going to remain a child forever.

I love how size and weight affect so many things like carrying capacity or if harpies can lift you up.

This is actually a very fun feature. When playing as a big guy you're easier to catch by bigger monsters, but can carry more weight, are harder to carry and the wind doesn't push you that much. Also the character creator is pretty good. Back on old /dddag/ there was an user posting famous characters and shit.

Yeah it really adds an extra dimension that is so fucking simple yet is never used in anything. I wasn't prepared for how fast you are when you're tiny, it's like playing as Sanic.

I happily played it on 360 up until the PC release. It will slow down when there's a lot going on but it's still enjoyable.

I found a mod that makes 3x the amount of enemies spawn and another mod that makes the enemies random sizes. I wish there were a way to use them together tbqfh

>no way to save Arisens/Pawns in-game so I can drop one character and do a new playthrough
I hate this.

Also
>Carrying pawns in dragon's dogma feels kind of cute
>It cold be nice if you could grab them princess style when they fall, but think "oh, well, they didn't implement the animation perhaps."
>They did[/spoiler] You actually use it on a questLink? Sounds pretty good. Though...
>3 ogres

Fuck. now I need this.

You can. There are ways to have multiple saves, but you need a loader. One of the things PC fixes.

smol

H-how?

there's a mod for it iirc on the nexus

>Applied nude patch
>Made loli with patch applied
>Made pawn a pale hunch-backed mage loli
>Hire only loli pawns

This is the best.

Only real problem is the framerate.
The Magick Knight class (one of the 9 playable classes) can turn the game into a slideshow with one of his abilities.
Aside from that not many spots do that.

And if they shut down the online components yet.

...

...

Pray, if you find a giang goblin, can you grab it? Mod name?

>Want to play game
>Got too stuck up on stat growing
>Stop playing game

>Caring about stats.
Game is pretty ez. I'd say assassin and mage are the squishiest characters, and it's still hard to die.

I want to roll with some guy who can just fuck shit up but I absolutely despite magic. Can I just go full warrior?

Why should I play assasssin?

80% is level and equipment so yes. upgrade weapons and you'll wreck anyone if you hit them.
Especially with that one 2h move that one-hits pretty much everything.

to give the character personality.
The whole point of the class is to feel like a unstoppable force, just eating hits that would send others flying or outright kill them and continue to stab shit, its why you get so many augments that mitigate damage while attacking/charging and keep you grounded.
A real block/dodge would make the character seem weak by virtue of actively avoiding damage instead of tanking it

>Versatile and fun, gets bonuses at night and for poison and speed. Also for solo and backstabbing big monsters or unready targets.
Can use shields, swords, daggers, bows and light armor.

Is playing mage fun?

No.

Sorcerer, yes. Mage, no.

I tried playing sorcerer and I found it pretty boring. Most spells require long charge up times before you can cast them. So basically every fight is you just standing in the back waiting for your high level spells to charge up.

I assume mage is the same way.

I can't find it on there

my character is a qt girl with huge tits, she looks great, plus dem magick

Look for a mod called Legendary Dark Arisen.

Sounded like a good time but im not downloading 10gb's for it

It wasn't really worth it.

I want to play this game but the colors look like ass and it looks like it has the graphics of a 2009 game. Are there any major graphics/lighting mods for this game? Preferably in 1440p or higher.

Doesn't really matter that much because the game is pretty easy anyway.

is there any crafting mods? i would really like one that shows all the stuff i have discovered and organizes crafting by items i can make so i dont have to memorize the bazillion recipes.

There were quite a few reshade mods in Nexus. Check it out and find one you like.

You can use one of the many post-processing programs like ReShade and SweetFX to adjust things like enhancing the colours and more AA.

Now that I checked, there aren't that many. Maybe there are others somewhere else?

use enb or reshade and tailor it to your taste, you can bump the saturation and add whatever filters you like to make the game look like whatever you want to. there's some decent texture mods, but enb goes a long way.

the woods in this game are awesome

if you're overloaded and grab a griffin they can't take off

...

Hmm, alright. It looks even more washed out than Souls games, so yeah.

>you will never coop BBI with Sup Forums
DDO is just not the same

>Play as mage
>Stay as far back as possible
>Stand still for half a minute for light show of desired color to charge
>Fire
>Run away so you aren't one shot
>Repeat with breaks to pick up stupid pawns/regain stamina

>Play anything else
>Running around in the thick of it
>Comboing enemies
>Timing dodges/blocks
>Climbing on shit
>Actually having fun

I really wanted to like magic, but after getting around halfway through bbi I realized that shit wasn't fun at all

>pawn promises not to judge you
>she silently judges you anyway

Pawns were a mistake

>tfw no sequel

I didn't care for all the standing either. Assassin and Magick Archer were the most engaging for me. Getting that ricochet shot just right is a blast.

i didn't even know this game has lovers side quest... how does it worked? i get the big tidies merchant one time.

...

if you want a challenge play solo or start from level 1 on bitterblack isle, ng+ is shit

better yet just play as fighter

>never mined ore
>never used lamps, ever
>never hired pawns
Who /hardcore/ here?

Scantily
Clad
Loli
Pawns

>not a whole team of Guts pawns

Yes. I made a scrawny loli and aged her into some megamilk bitch as she levelled.

thicc
drow
pawns

I had his fucking daughter, The game made me into a pedo because I didnt know about the beloved system

>tfw I got Julian
I was rather pleased

Perfection

i hated magic when i played this on 360 because it would literally turn the game into a slide show so i played assassin which was fun. i got this again on pc and played full sorc and magic is awesome. sure its not very engaging but casting high maelstrom watching it just wreck the fuck out of chimeras at 150 fps is awesome.

>start from level 1 on bitterblack isle

wait what? i just got this game and i haven't touched bbi because i heard it was hard as hell and the game's version of an endgame dungeon and the grim reaper will tickle your anus unless you were geared up good. can you go there at low levels and get good stuff?

Ye

BBI gear effectively breaks the base game, not recommended for first timers.

would you hire her?

...

>Hard mode
>It's actually easier than easy

But this is simply not true you humongous faggot. You know this if you actually bothered to play instead of spouting memes

Mercedes best girl

it's a poorly made difficulty setting. At the beginning even bats and rats are lethal, but some 20 hours later you're suddenly strong as fuck

my pawn a best

Wow it's almost like your character gets stronger the longer you play the game. Really makes you think

the point is it ends up being easier than normal mode.

THIS IS LITERALLY NOT TRUE YOU FUCKING RETARD.

At no point in time does Hard mode become easier then Normal much less Easy. You're a fucking idiot, go fucking play Hard mode instead of memeing about it.

>play tiny shota with tall, big tittied pawns
this please me

No one has posted best girl yet.

Hint:
Delicious brown Frenchgirl

vageta did a good playthrough of it aka ourguy

>Just keep abusing the chest spawn system till he got all the gear to beat it

Wow, how thrilling.

french hoe

>tfw never ever
