What awful shit are you playing, senpaitachi?

I'm an ESOfag

Elsword would have been a 9/10 tier game if it wasn't for the p2w things

Like seriously, the classes are so fun and the dungeon design is superb

I use to shit on ESO, ended up giving it another try and put in some effort and I've been having having a blast playing a Dark Elf Dragonknight lighting everything on fire. Got to Champion 132 on this character in 11 days.

jesus christ that looks horrible

It's definitely up there for comeback stories along with FFXIV.

...

nope its a good game. the music is the ingame music btw

youtube.com/watch?v=hKeBogbz8oo

>its a good anime game
hmm

Mate I used to play LOTRO back in 2008 with a mate when it was subscription based.

Had a great time, loads of memories, community seemed good too.

>Elsword
>mmo
>4 player coop
really makes you think

I'm playing ESO. It's a fucking awful Elder Scrolls game.

But it's not a bad MMO. Well, as far as most modern MMO's go. The PVP is kinda cool. Nuking entire squads is fucking hilarious. It's kinda imbalanced.

Also Werewolf is an actual thing, which is funny.

Wild West Online. Who hype?

it was good then

post f2p lotro is fucking awful though

Anyone played this shit?
It's your typical f2p Nexon crap, but I'm unironically enjoying myself playing this with two buddies. The whole mount gathering and taming stuff is actually pretty cool.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

It's shit alone but fun with buddies? What if I dint have buds?

It's kinda starting to take over all my free time. I'm not sure I'm ok with this.

It's all shit and the only games on the horizon are korean bullshit and kickstarter scams. I have a MMO addiction and their is nothing to play now and absolutely no hope for the future.

Fuck blizzard. I wish ill on then and their families.

I've been looking for a fun console mmo.

So far DCUO seems to fit the bill. It's a pretty fun beat em up mmo. Plus the armor designs are neat.

This game is the most boring ass shit I've played. Only people that play it are middle aged man with delusions of grandeur to escape their shitty lives.

I kinda wish there was an action mmo with mecha.

Like a gundam beat em up mmo. Gundam breaker 3 will have to do for now.

It's still a decent time sink for I guess. The story is really shitty though (surprise) so don't expect anything in that department. You will probaly have problems doing dungeons on higher difficulties unless you find someone to group with, but the game doesn't have the biggest community anymore.

Also you will miss out on bragging with your gigantic mounts that you spend hours grinding for.

MMOs were good back when it was cool to talk to people on the internet. The novelty has worn off. If you want PvP you will play assfaggots if you want to play alone you'll play rpgs like dark souls.

MMOs aren't resigned for 25+ people to group up anymore. And that makes them lose third purpose.

How is Black Desert faring nowadays? I only played for a few weeks after release and then dropped it for FFXIV.
Now that I'm burned out on that one, I would like to pay BD another visit. How's the balancing now? Also there are quite a few new classes, are they fun? Musa looks pretty cool.

I wish I could play it for free. It sounds like a good one.

There's a free trial.

I wouldn't bother though. It's got a messy UI.

>gender/race locked classes
>another Korean grindfest
>only good thing is the character creator
>even that is wasted
I fucked up and paid for it before release. Haven't touched it since. Friend recently picked it up and I let him use my account. Apparently I racked up like 200m in my family account or some shit.

>tfw won't be able to afford sub and stormblood when it comes out
I just started xiv and my character ins'[t even level 60 yet but it all feels so pointless. Also fuck PotD i hate it so god damn much.

i play flyff for 10years (last login was 4years ago)

>but it all feels so pointless

If you aren't enjoying yourself with HW why would you be looking forward to Stormblood?

now i play Ragnarok Path of Heroes on mobile, is full of cute asian girls

This shit is on steam now and it's bringing back some old memories.

What's with all the shitty 10 year old korean and russian MMOs releasing on steam now? What's the purpose?

(im italian)

New lease on life.

3 is looking way better than the shitshow that was 2
dunno why they made the protag an angry black guy

It's actually been a little while since Ii've last played Mabi, even though it had a pretty major update a couple weeks back. I've just been in Xenoverse a lot.

I only care about end game when it comes to MMOs, PvP and raiding are all that really matters. Everything that's inbetween is just a chore to get there.

>gender/race locked classes
How is this a bad thing?

Then FFXIV isn't for you.

I've been afk playing black desert for the past couple months just fishing and doing quick things. Right now I'm trying to obtain as much money as I can without selling gear. I'm up to around 950 mil and steadily rising. Other than that, I've been playing old school runescape casually while I catch up on boku no hero and other animoo.

Thank you, Foxfire~

but pic related keeps turning me away.

...

Runescape is barely an mmo

Why? because i don't like the story? Don't tell me you enjoy doing the three things the MSQs have you do 1000 times
>pick thing up
>talk to person
>do dungeon/trail
I love the dungeons, trials and combat but everything else is just usual filler trash, especially when it comes to the story
>hey we need you to prepare a feast before we let you do a trail
>do these 15 menial tasks for food
>it was a test all along XD
There are countless examples theres like 90% trash filler and 10% actual story.

Well, the quests themselves obviously are your usual MMO fetch stuff, but if you don't enjoy yourself on your way to max level there isn't much for you to look forward to. FFXIV, for me at least, is all about the universe, story and characters. Leveling different jobs, doing their questlines, crafting and shit. The "endgame" consists of doing 2-3 Alex raids a week and that's it. You don't even need very good equip for it, it mainly depends on your group and if they can follow basic instructions.
Also PVP is utter trash in FFXIV.

I know what you mean, but the story (At least to me) starts picking up well at the 40's when you drop off the rest of those useless fucks

>playing games to escape their shitty lives
We have a Sherlock over here.

I'm calling bullshit, even if the raids are timegated like every other MMO that doesn't mean it isn't more fun than walk into purple circle and kill 2-3 guys. I'm at level 56 and some of the trials like thok ast thok were like a raid boss and blew my mind, i can't wait to experience raids. As for PvP i really don't like how you can only pvp at 60 so i have no input on that but it can't be unplayable

Wildstar picked my interest, should I give it a try? If not, how's Lord of the rings online? Or which one do you guys suggest that's not ff14 or wow?

can anyone tell me if I should get hyped over pantheon?

im playing pso2

They all play the same. So it all depends in which world looks more interesting to you. Personally, i'm burned by all of them.

It definitely looks similar to Everquest on a superficial level but from the videos I honestly can't tell if it's just a shallow imitation or if they really understand what made EQ good in the first place and managed to recreate it.

Playing EVE. Trying to find the quickest way to lots of SP, carriers, and dank ISK.

whats a delusion of grandeur

Tell me more.

I'm downloading bdo, any tips?

I tried playing that, but it was so fucking casual and boring I couldnt

I wish there was a hard MMO out there that wasnt P2W

>PvP and raiding are all that really matters
>FFXIV

Oh boy are you in for a shock..

It's probably the best background game. Ever tried OGame or something to do while playing other games / browsing?

>sounds interesting
>go look up a video
>first thing I find
>youtube.com/watch?v=unAy662TRmM
>whole video is him crying like a bitch because mobs kill him as he plays SOLO in a fucking MMO as a FUCKING MAGE

God fucking damn. No wonder MMOs dies.

Seriously it should be required that if you dont party up after logging in you just instantly die in all MMOs.

You should plan about 3-4 hours for character creation.

yes, you can change the awful over saturated default filter to something less eye cancer inducing. And turn off all the notifications.

I was so excited. But they went full fucking retarded with the cash shop and now its entirely P2W

best mmos ever:

>DAoC
>ragnarok
>vanilla wow
>anarchy online
>SWG

personal mention
>neocron

honorable mention
>eve online

i would have played it if i didnt have 300 ms ping

tfw everyone whines about their MMO and youre actually enjoying the one everyone shat about when it came out.

I mean i admit, ESOs non PvP and Trial content is way too easy, but its shaped up to be actually competent.

Now to talk about a Game i havent played in ages: i played Everquest 2 for a while but never realy got into it. Aperently one month after i stopped playing they announced Rise of Kunark which supposedly was the high point of that game and a great expansion.

It also put a large focus on my favorite race from that setting.
Recently ive been looking up the OST and got hit with nostalgia for something i didnt even play.

Anyone here played that? Was it any good? Since EQ2 is basically dead and was never popular to begin with i can bareley find any screenshots or videos about it that arent in french.

Did i actually miss out? was i right to jump ship?
Why does the fact that EQNext is dead still hurt?

what are they selling ?
Most of the shit Sup Forums consider p2w barely is

Ingame currency for real money
Faster progression
More progression
Locked progression

It's especially funny actually because the mage class is ridiculously overpowered at the beginning and I was able to solo most of the stuff that my friends could hardly beat together.

To be fair there are so many MMOs that play like shitty single-player games that if I found non-instanced content that I can't easily solo I'd be put off too. I'd probably think I'm doing something really wrong.
He's still a bitch for complaining about it though.

>Ingame currency for real money
saw the shop that's probably the biggest problem i dont mind being locked out of some content if i dont pay every month but selling gold is always pretty shitty

Ffxiv had some interesting politics and rp, if you were
1.) gay enough to do that sort of thing
2.) willing to delve into faction drama for front row tickets to shitshows

For a game that is all about the economy its so utter fucking stupid

If one player works to make 10,000g another can literally just use their credit card to catch up or progress beyond them. It just utterly fucking ruins any immersion in the game.

No matter what you do or see you'll continuously be thinking 'that guy probably just paid to get there'

And it wont change, the developers have come out and said they dont consider anything they do P2W.

I've been playing it since launch and enjoy it a lot. It's outdated as fuck, but it is still soo good.

...

i dont mind it in a game like gw2 where's it's all bout cosmetic since i could just farm my way into the cash shop but this one is all about economy like you said so fuck them

I'm currently shooting very low level fire spells at crabs made out of sand in runescape.

Why can't people just admit MMOs are dead because no one wants to actually "bond" with people anymore.
It's all "gimme LFG tool and don't require me to actually communicate.

MMOs are dead. Maybe in 20 years they will have a revival.

But then autists will clear the dungeon within a week and complain there's nothing to do because they already beat it

That's why the decks make multiple boring ass dungeons with mechanics you need 3 brain cells for because it keeps the tards further back

New glass crab leg cooling met when?

Some old WoW dungeons were like that. I think these kind of dungeons are great as long as you don't have to run them a million times.

>Why can't people just admit MMOs are dead because no one wants to actually "bond" with people anymore.

this,i tried to go back to ff xiv and quiclky left because of people autistic behiaviors,no discussion nothing felt like playing with bots

Why?

How do we make WoW great again?

Spoiler.

Rp servers

>that feel when you hate MMOs
>that feel when you keep looking them up
>then you find another one to get hyped about and know will fail you
Oh boy I found another too good to be true MMO that looks interesting
www.ashesofcreation.com/

Ping doesn't affect gameplay very much since most of the game is client-side.

It's probably one of the best games out there to play if your ping is garbage.

Yiff in hell furfag. Everyone, even those that don't play the game, know the only RP in that game is ERP.

Yeah no.

The first time you experience the dungeon it is great. Subsequent times you'll be arguing with the rest of the party on which bosses to kill and who wants what sections.

Pretty much every branching dungeon in mmos gets streamlined to the most reward for time spent. Anyone going against this will cause dissatisfaction from the rest of the party.

Cute character!

im not entirely sure what you just said but i fully agree

Reinstalling Guild Wars 2 again since I kinda enjoyed the combat.
Any changes to the dungeones/fractals?
What is there else to do on a difficult content side since Ive grinded must fractals/dungeons for over 500 times each (archievement I think)?

>he doesn't go to the brothel and smooth talk the prostitutes into a free ride then just moonwalk out
>not to mention laughing at man cats in purple pimp uniforms not saying a word
Missing out on some good keks my friend
Not to mention people pay 200k for an erp session
Shits bananas

Just stop the install.
You'll thank me later.

How dungeons should be design; They shouldn't exist.

Anyone got Ashes of Creation on their radar? Idk, I've been giving it a look, but the genre itself has gotten so bland and cliche.

BDO I felt would have been good if I'd had some friends play with. It was close, but just couldn't keep me engaged. If it had some battlegrounds I feel I would have stayed. I didnt mind grinding.

I saw Steam Hammer on Steam the other day, but it looks pretty brown and dull.
