I played Mean Bean Machine as part of the Sonic Mega Collection way back, but I had no idea what I was doing back then

I've completed the adventure mode in PPT now, but I obviously still have ways to go, I was pretty much only able to complete PPT because of a ton of lucky breaks while setting up ez chains in Puyo

Tetris has a tremendous advantage, you can be a complete puyo god and you will still have trouble against a Tetris player that's "just" good. It's very unbalanced.

It was surprisingly heartfelt for Puyo Puyo. Usually when characters give their goodbyes at the end of a game like this, it's hard to take seriously because there's always the likelyhood that characters will be asspulled back in for fan demand. But because the Tetra crew are so closely associated with Tetris, a game Sega doesn't own and can't do what they please with without appealing to another company, there's actually a realistic chance that they'll never ever see each other again. Having Ringo start to develop feelings for Tee felt especially ballsy of the writers because of this.

Actually I'm pretty sure all three of the extra chapters are supposed to be dreams, not just the one with Ex. So 8 was probably Ringo dreaming about everyone being together again for a silly episodic thing.
