This is NOT a good device for gaming

This is NOT a good device for gaming.

Correct.

Holy fuck that font is huge

haha yeah man i love FIFA too. you guys excited for nba 2k18?

It's good for FPS and RTS. Maybe TPS depending how it goes.

You're right, it needs more lights

yeah, it has to many buttons. maybe with ten or less and id be able to comprehend it for useing in video game

Here's your (You)

This. It shocks me how people willingly play fighting, racing, and third person games with a KBM over a controller.

KB+M = Lots of on-screen elements, free or precise aim needed, micromanagement
Gamepad = Everything else

This mindset is the epitome of comfort
prove me wrong
protip: you can't

*gets killed by an enemy he didn't see behind him*
b-but at least I can move my character in a few more directions

thats true
these letters are way too large
get a better kb

Someone recommend me a good chiclet keyboard.

what is "everything else"?

Correct. It's not good. It's perfect.

Thinkpad keyboard. They make one that is separate.

everything that doesn't have lots of on-screen elements, doesn't need free or precise aim, and doesn't require micromanagement

are you slow?

You're right.

It's the best.

sounds like a big problem for fighting and racing games

Wow you conveniently left out the way larger group of "all third person games" now

>recommending shitpad chiclet keys
>not wanting an x220 keyboard which is literal perfection
???

this is the LEAST ACCURATE possible input method available for electronics

That's why i have this

...

does it have a final form?

keyboard and mouse is literally cheating

you can see behind your character in third person games

Are "mechanical" keyboards a religion?

Well that not 2-inch long keyboard.

>not setting up your penis as joystick and balls as A-B
keck

How about the fact that the keyboard is superior to d-pads in all situations? And KB+M is superior to analog sticks in all situations assuming you can move the camera with the mouse? The only good alternative to KB+M in history was the wiimote+nunchuck and they ruined it with waggling.

*gets killed by an enemy off to the other side while he sloooooowly swivels the camera around with the analog stick*
b-but at least it's c-comfy

You're right, it's a great device for gaming

>dark souls is better with KBM
>fighting and racing games are better with KBM

fuck outta here mate
inb4 you move the goalposts by replying that souls, fighting and racing games don't count

>>dark souls is better with KBM
Yup, it actually is

It's not even hard to understand. M+KB is great for precision elements. Controllers are comfy and good for anything that emphasizes other things like movement. Some games are better on one or the other, and some games work fine on both. Preference plays a part.

You stupid or something?

dark souls is at least in pvp

the precision in aiming is very useful. you can fake out people with a zweihander by rolling in one direction and swinging the opposite way just by moving your mouse quickly enough

Prove it

I want to get a trackball mouse just so I can play Missile Command and Centipede/Millipede on MAME properly. Is it worth it?

>dark souls
Yes it is better.
>fighting
Keyboards are no different from hitboxes, and they outclass both pads and arcade sticks completely.
>racing
You gain absolutely nothing from pads or wheels in comparison to KB+M.

There's no need to lie m8, racing is one of the only genres where you need precise movement that digital input can't give you
I guess you only played Need for Speed

Controllers really trigger you, don't they boyo

I can't prove a factually correct statement wrong.

>being this butthurt about controllers

Pretty fucking pathetic tbqvhfamalam

On top of this, at very few points in racing games do you ever make slight left or right turns. When you make a turn, you almost always go full left or full right, and when you don't go full left or right, you can tap or hold the steering keys, easy as that.

Rate this keyboard Sup Forums

>too many buttens

I'm more excited about the Sega genesis simulator and Indie games pc is getting

Not that fag, but can't you set up cars to turn the wheel on mouse directions and just set the keys for things like hand break the stick?

It is for shooters, strategy, and some dedicated rhythm games. Nothing else

>When you make a turn, you almost always go full left or full right, and when you don't go full left or right, you can tap or hold the steering keys, easy as that.
I'm serious man, stop it. I'm on your side about KB+M being superior in almost all cases, but you really, really need to play some better racing games
Shit, even just play GRID if you're too casual for sims
That works for shit where you're going in a straight line and just have to switch lanes (shit like KotOR swoop races) but not when you have long curves

thank you captain obvious .
only poorfag neet virgins game on pc.

Rocket League is objectively better with a gamepad because the analog stick lets you use 16 directions while kb+m can only use 8. Also having triggers so you don't have to feather acceleration/brake helps.

...

when will people learn
It depends on the genre

Racing: controller or full autismo wheel set
RTS: kbm
FPS: kbm
RPG: subjective
ARPG: controller
Platformer: controller
Fighting: subjective, also fight pads exist

>You gain absolutely nothing from pads or wheels in comparison to KB+M.
as someone who use to play racing games on KB+M before caving in for a proper setup i can tell you to fuck off
its terrible, KB doesn't allow for the smooth linearity required in proper racing games
>every time you turn its full wheel lock
>every time you accelerate its full throttle
you try that in a racing sim and you'll be lucky to even reach the first corner
