I only played videogames as a kid because I was a little retard who couldn't make friends and needed SOME form of surrogate social interaction.

When I got older I de-sperg'd myself and now videogames are something I enjoy, rather than something I use to fill a hole in my life.

I enjoy them more. I was terrible at them as a kid. Being able to actually beat NES games feels good.

I love the shit out of Crash & Spyro. I replay the entire series at least once a year. I still enjoy them as much as I did when I was a kid.
Nothing current-gen holds my interest for long but I can replay anything from the 6th gen or earlier and enjoy it more than anything I've played recently.

Yes because I aint a faggot that worries about what other people like. I like the Army Men games its a life choice I stand by.

That doesn't mean you can't enjoy great games nowadays, I know I do, I absolutely loved BOTW, it gave me vibes I originally had for DK64 as a kid when I was overwhelmed by what is at the time considered an open world

Agreed, if you don't play your old backlog of games you enjoyed as a kid, you only hurt yourself. To this day I still play GTA:SA every blue moon. Kill drug dealers for money, and getting all 100 of the spray tags in middle of virtual 1992 LA still does something for me.
