Who says I can't like both? RE6 is the ultimate bad movie game that is consistently hilarious yet also fun to play. The Witness speaks for itself.

How do I enjoy legend of grimrock. Controlling all 4 characters in real time seemed stupid. Complete lack of any meaningful tutorial left me lost. I killed a couple spiders and made it to the second area then stopped because it was boring. What am I doing wrong

Like I'm going to make a picture of this shit

>Wolfenstein: The New Order
>Spec Ops: The Line
>Deus Ex: Human Revolution

I ignored all games prior to 2005 since nostalgia makes everything look good.

i think your in the wrong place then

5/6
Never played Otogi and Timesplitters 2. How are they?
I would say around 19-20.

14-17

Here's one I made a while ago, I cheated.

Haven't played NS2 in a year user, just nice memories

remove super mario world and yakuza and we got a winner here

You should come back.

Theres a few solid eu/us servers and its a lot more balanced than ever

babblers are actually useful

I think bayonetta should be on the list just not sure where. Either way some good solid vidya.

Yakuza 2 would probably be in my top ten, Super Mario World is the only game I'd definitely replace on the list but there's another ten or so games I could replace it with.

Can't be arsed to update it though.

more like a good 7/10 turned to a 8/10
remember, 10/10 doesn't exist

>Life is Strange

Rayman Origins
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Civilization 5
Silent Hill 2
Yakuza 0
Papers, Please
Fallout 2
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Bioshock
LISA

not in any particular order

More like a 6/10 turned into a 7/10.

Your standards are too low.

I'm gonna play siren soon for the first time, I 'm excited for a good horror game.
>How are they?
pretty great, their age is showing in the controls, but still fun. the only bad thing about TS is how the aiming works. at least for GC version. I forgot if the PS2 version handled aiming the same way and I'm too lazy to fish it out of the box in my closet. if you played no one lives forever and liked it then you'll like the TS series. for otogi, if you can deal with action games that aren't as polished or in-depth as NG or DMC then you'll probably enjoy it.
>19-20
off by ~6 years.

I would play vidya with you. good taste.

good taste user
I generally agree that most games before 2010 just don't feel good to play, simply because input and cameras kinda sucked back then. Doesn't mean that they are mechanically bad, but games can age badly.

Same from yesterday. Add System Shock 2 to this. I should probably fill out another one of these bad boys but i'm lazy.

Coolest people here.

I guess I will play TS2 in next time. Is Gamecube version as good as ps2 one? WOuld emulate it on wii.
Sucks that there's still no good xbox emulator, guess I will wait to play Otogi.

>he likes Nier Automata
Not really my cup of tea. The story tries too hard to be deep and the combat is just watered down Platinum combat. I'd rather just play MGR or Bayonetta.

patrician taste user

That means that he have actually good taste, yeah

GC version is fine. the aiming is weird though, it kind pulls your reticle back to the center when you lay off the joystick. I don't remember if the PS2 version does the same or not. either way you don't need precision aiming for this kind of game and it's fun regardless.
also arcade mode starts off kinda lame, but if you get to the later missions its a lot of fun as well. good to go through if you just have time kill.

What's the last game? Looks familiar.

It's like everyone has different taste or something.

I'm posting the wrong chart, but it's still valid.
Good taste.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Super Mario World
Megaman X
Final Fantasy IV
God Eater Burst
Phantasy Star Online 2
Phantasy Star Portable 2
YS Origin

Only got a PC, and only started to get into gaming in about 2010 so be nice.

>Sup Forums the post

>blood dragon
hell yeah.

Those are all Western games and Jap games that Westerners broadly dig

Nier is a totally different animal. I'm not calling it a weeb game but it's not like Silent Hill or MGS. None of user's faves are hack and slash things.

OP, you have a very simulation-oriented taste. I can very much respect that. Despite how seemingly eclectic collection it is, I can pretty much perfectly understand why you chose every single one of those titles.

Mine (you`ll have to do without picture today):
>Pathologic
>The Void
>Factorio
>Homeworld
>Morrowind
>Silent Hill 2
>Bastion
>Fallout 2
>The Witcher games (all equally, I guess)
>Half-life 2

I`d say you are a pretty damn typical "golden-age PC gaming" nursed fella. It's not a bad list.

To be frank, my *favorite* games are Spelunky and Demon's Souls. The rest are the games that I loved immensely and had a great time with.

would have a sleepover/would befriend/would talk intensely about the videogames

Cities Skyline
Rising Storm
PlanetCoaster Tycoon
King's Bounty: Legend
Pillars of Eternity
Unreal Tournament
Age of Empire 2
Civilization V
Shogun 2
Loom

Is Pathologic worth playing? also + for factorio, Fallout 2, Morrowind, and SH2

7/10 overall

seems like a pretty chill dude
23 maybe

Good taste. I'd replace Spelunky with ToME, Thief 2 with Thief 1, and while I loved KF and TF2 i can't see myself ever playing them again so I'd probably insert some single-player stuff like Silent Hill 2 or STALKER. But overall would hang out with and play video games with tier.

oh shit, I got mixed up with the RPG.

>Is Pathologic worth playing?
It's easily the most important game I've ever played. But it's only enjoyable to what I suspect is less than 1% of the general population: it's utterly inaccessible. Also, the remake release is closing up on us (supposedly October 2017, though somehow, I suspect they'll be postponing the release some more), so it is a question whenever you don't want to just wait for that.
I mean: the two games are supposed to be somewhat different, but judging by the Marble Nest demo alone, I'd actually suspect that the core design and themes will remain the same, and only the more superficial stuff will change.

>important
They literally just wanted to make a Russian Oblivion or Morrowind.

>They literally just wanted to make a Russian Oblivion or Morrowind.
Yeah, not even in the slightest. It's basically absolutely nothing like either of those games. In fact it hardly could be further away from those.

The whole association with Oblivion and Morrowind is purely superficial - with the first person view and open-world settings, in case of Morrowind also a bit of the surreal aesthetics - but it absolutely falls apart design-wise.
"It's like Oblivion with a cancer" was a funny line, but it came from reviewer just not knowing to how describe the game and used the first thing that was absolutely vaguely related to that.

Thief 1 and Silent Hill 2 had a greater influence on IPL than Bethesda ever had.

Is Pathalogic Classic HD better than the original? Do either of them have controller support?

>Is Pathologic worth playing?
At this point you should just wait for a remake which comes out this fall.

Pathologic HD classic is DEFINITELY the version you want to play. The original is just the same game with bad translation, lower-resolution textures and one or two minor scenes being altered due to censorship.
There is absolutely no reason to get the Original unless you want to experience the madness of the butchered translation for your self out of some morbid curiosity.

As for Controler Support, I really don't know. I vaguelly think I remembered them talking about adding it to the Classic HD version, but I never double-checked. I DO know that having a joystick plugged in messed up my controls though, if that is an any indication of anything.

What is this nigger talking about?
Pathologic came out before Oblivion

...

Kudos to the guy who guesses my age correctly the last time

only played 3 of these games, divinity is pretty good
great taste, guess you are about as old as i am
Max Payne, Serious Sam top taste
autism/10 did not like Mafia II and have not played M&B Warband and LiS, otherwise great taste, guess 27
Kotor 2, really?! on a positive side: FF IX, guess 25
RDR +, but CoD --, my guess: 22
top taste
+ OoT, Deus Ex, Morrowind, Fallout etc...I never got Mario though, i hate Jump n' Runs with a passion, guess you are 30

It comes from two famous articles. One is the famous RPS one in which the guy half-jokingly describes the game as "Oblivion with a cancer", and second from some really terrible and more recently released review by some clueless dipshit chick on some site I can't even recall anymore, who compares Pathologic to Oblivion at several points. The review is titled "Plagued with Mediocrity" I think, and makes up for a pretty hilarious read.

Yes, I know what you mean, as I mentioned it certainly not the list of favorite games, but rather the list of the games I loved to the bone and still love. I haven't played both KF1 and TF2 for years now, but just reminiscing about all the good time I had gives me pleasant heartaches. Things like that mean a lot to me personally.

>Fire and Sword
nigga what

Reposting from last night.

If I had to add anything else, it'd be Kirby 64.

I'm 21 nice guess
M&B is there because i made some very good friends in it and got some money out of it fun times overall
Mafia is mostly childhood nostalgia but i still think its pretty good
Could replace SS with stalker and JA2 with something like red alert though I like all of them

>Inb4 casual

Kotor 2 had a better story and a mod restores all the cut content, but I understand why people prefer the original one. I'm 20 but good guess.
