The thing is her character didn't make the game any better or worse. her character was 100% pointless and the game wouldn't change in the slightest if you remove her.

She was the realist who foiled the "by any means necessary" main antagonist, Rafe. While Rafe was fueled by blind ambition to achieve his ultimate goal, Nadine was the one tying to pick up the pieces as Nate mowed through battalions of her men.

She added another dimension to enemy camp and personified somewhat the endless drones of people you kill.

Not an unnecessary character...but did she have to be black? meh...would we be talking about her otherwise?

Nadine had very little impact on the overall story and feel of the game. She was basically there, and did a thing once or twice.
