You have all the available skills when you fight Lucy like Freikugel, pierce, debilitate, and all buffs. Matador is hard because you fight him at a low level and have no optimal skills.

I always feel like I'm fusing things randomly in Persona, yet rarely have issues.

There's no real difference, although keeping in mind how press turn works in SMT, weaknesses play a major role.

No Megaten game is hard after its beginning phase. They give you shit loads of options once you have a nice selection of demons and skills.

not everyone has the same skill level i know a lot of people who dropped the game because of the difficulty

Alright sure let's go, i hope you have some good skills, but please for the love of whatever relevant figure is important in this game, wear some better armor, your shoulders and butt is unprotected and someone could just fucking stab it.

except that in nocturne you dont have easy access to those options unless you use a guide and are playing on easy

even basic stuff like hard mode prices meaning you either need to grind a shitload, sell all your rare items or just come back later if you want all the magatama at a shop, as well as the small number of demons meaning that in many situations theres only one demon that naturally does the thing you want and is level appropriate unless you really play around with fusion means that you can't as easily just set up a loadout to win every area without effort
