PC port is fine as long as you are using parts from within the last 2-3 years.

Only problem with PC port is the damn KB+M control is horrible, two fucking button for dodging, that's just unfair.

Make sure your PC has a good GPU otherwise it will be unplayable, even at the lowest settings.
Also get a gamepad. In any case, just pirate it to try if your computer can handle it.

Yeah, I've got a 770 GTX and it's pretty hard to get it running smoothly. I'm sure that as long as you have a 1070ish or so, it would run better.

You would run it at a solid 60. I used an FX-8350 and 1060 and ran it at max with the framerate dipping into the high 40's when a lot of shit was going on.

It's a passable port, not fantastic but with your specs it would run completely fine.

Take note of what said, this game is not for KB+M, play it with a controller. If you have a PS4 you should be fine with using the controller from that.

Pirate the 9gb repack. Otherwise, just get it on ps4. The game isnt very mod friendly anyway as is usual with platinum games.

I would've bought Nier Automata but seeing how Square published it, I just pirated it. Square isn't getting any of my money, fucking kikes.

It never dips under 60 fps with a 1070, whether you use the FAR patch or not.
You still need to use that patch or Borderless Gaming to fix the rendering resolution though. Also like others have said, you either play this with a gamepad or you weep.

I doubt it has any glaring differences with the ps4 pro performance wise.

It works fine on pc as long as you use gamepad. I didnt use a controller and the shooter sections are horrid cus you can only shoot in 8 directions. Those sections arent hard by any means but its looks silly. Literally my only complaint on PC

I'm using an i5 2500k and GTX 970 and the game runs flawlessly.

iirc the digital foundry video showed their seems to be an issue with the PS4 Pro version where the game oddly dropped into the 50s very rarely in places where the regular PS4 didn't. Maybe they patched it or something but that's probably worth noting. Have fun with the game wherever you decide to play it. Don't despair when things look bad.

How do I level up efficiently now that they have fixed the statue ?
I just want to do the dlc but just doing the main story with EXP+ chips only got me to lvl 60

pirate cracks are very unstable atm. I tried a few diff cracks and all consistently crashed the game within an hour or so of gameplay for me, and apparently I'm not alone.

I enjoyed the game enough to buy it tho, am running it with FAR with no issues other than the rare white screen crash that happens to pretty much everyone iirc.

Nier is also a much bigger game than MGR, content-wise.

to be fair the game should have had a pod overheat system to incentive using it when enemy was out of range rather than macroing it to toggle on/off or just include a toggle for pod fire so consolebros can get on the same level as pcfags using autohotkey

You lock on with Q, but I play on Hard/Very Hard so I don't lock on.

In fact, being able to aim with the mouse is a huge advantage for KB+M, just too bad the dodge button requires TWO INPUT.

A toaster is having a 1.8ghz processor, 2gb gpu and 4gb ram. I doubt Nier can run with those specs.

This is a Yoko Taro game first, Platinum game second.
It's a legit reason when platfags want every games of them to be action games.

I'm in the same boat and I'm thinking of buying the ps4 version just because muh physical box and sticking with a pirated pc copy for now. If it gets a 25% discount in the steam summer sale, I'll definitely buy that too. Not sure the pc version is worth full price without an official patch from Square.

I got a 670 and I get around 45-60 fps at 1080p with FAR, usually hovers around 50-55 when I'm just exploring the world.

I counted the time it takes to get to the first buss with the saw thing is like 10-15 minutes. So I just lost like 30 minutes in this game with the no save at all meme.

I know people are gonna say git gud, but this is just annoying, having to do it all when I can get past the other sections just fine. Games in the past usd to do that for two reasons: pad games because they were in fact quite short, and to be like Arcades that had cheap difficulty to milk quarters from people.

Spam the everloving fuck out of dodge and use your pod to do a lot of damage. Only melee when you are positive that you won't get hit back.

Usually people tell you to switch to normal for the tutorial. Hard is kinda annoying in the beginning since you have shit chips but it gets better when you get them later on and makes the game slightly more challenging. Under no circumstances are you supposed to play on normal unless you want to sleep through the game.

So basically melee is useless in this game? I see a lot of people just circle strafing.

higher than normal difficulty is pointless in nier automata since the enemy groups are identical they just have more hp and do more damage
