So, is it any good? Is it a worthy successor for Titan Quest? Is it better than Diablo 3?

It's great fun
It's clunkier than D3, it doesn't play as well and as smoothly. I played the story campaign through once, I enjoyed myself but didn't really feel like delving deep into it to grind for the best items or something. It was good and fun though, I'm cautiously optimistic about that Necro expansion, I seriously want muh D2 Necro armies back again, but summoners often end up lackluster.
It's the closest we'll ever get to a true Diablo 2 successor.
this
i like it
I only wish they would have made a healer class
Some of the later endgame stuff on veteran is so full of enemies packed on the screen, your teamates get destroyed so easily
Good game, but in my opinion the classes feel too samey.
Pretty good. Never tried the multiplayer.
>worthy successor for Titan Quest?
Absolutely and pretty cheap as well
>Is it better than Diablo 3?
Every ARPG is better than Diablo 3, so yeah..
I always say that Grim Dawn is the best singleplayer focused ARPG, whereas Path of Exile is the best multiplayer focused ARPG.
It's pleasing if you enjoy the Warhammer aesthetic and it's certainly got a lot of depth to it. Classes really start to shine around level 50, which sort of sucks because the leveling curb gets really steep the higher you get.
I agree, for all the demon shit that starts showing up near the end of story mode, this game is dying for a Paladin/Cleric class
The upcoming Inquisitor class has something like that.
It's good, my only complaint is that the summoner class isn't as fun as the D2 Necro, but it has a lot of variety.
You know its a good game when you find a wierd item and go, "Yo I want to make a build around that".
I got into the D3 necro beta, you are in for disappointment.
What are you talking about, Summoner is my favorite build.
So many unique items that let you summon additional minions.
Yeah, but not like 40 skeletons. I liked it, but its not the same.
Necro might deliver on that fun summoner class.
There are some really amazing hybrid summoner builds right now though.
last I checked D3 necro summons have ridiculously low timers, like 6 second skeletons or something
Its not a true summoner, cause the game shits itself with too many minions
also
>still expecting anything of blizzard
just stop
I never played Grim Dawn and can even tell you it's better then Diablo 3.
im in necro beta
i got bored by level 30 man. it's not the same at all
I actually know next to nothing about the upcoming Necro class in Grim Dawn.
From what I've heard its not only focused on summoning minions?
I like it a lot, currently running a vitality trickster but am taking a break. Pretty hyped for the expansion, hope the necromancer takes a note from the D2 one.
So what are the odds that the new classes are going to break the game in the same way Dream trivialized Titan Quest?
No, like every class in GD, there are a lot of way to build it and and make it work with other masteries. Pure summoner is one.

yes
yes
and yes
but none of that is really saying much. i suppose if you enjoy Titan Quest and its style, thent his is great. as an overall ARPG though its pretty middle of the road (d3 at the bottom, d2 at the top). There just isnt much end game and that hurts the lasting appeal imo.
there we go. best post all thread
>that fully upgraded phantom strike
>absolutely massive damage to 6 enemies at once
yeah that was broken as hell, made for some hilarious ragdolls though
Post characters.
Only have this old screenshot of my summoner and the pack.
Fire Skeleton dude had to be replaced by a bunch of procable demon summons.
The only summoner I made died on Elite because I was lazy and facetanked a boss.
...
What skill is that? That looks rad as shit
Stun jacks
demolitionist jacks looks like
it's a low level skill i think like 1 master requirement
does the pope shit in the woods?
I don't know, does he?
Are we still pretending that Titan Quest is still good? I loved the game when it came out, but it's really dated and really dull now, not a worthy game modern ARPGs should aspire to.
Game is really easy. It'll take forever to grind out any items you want and once you have them there's nothing to do except the same easy dungeons or a repetitive arena mode. Constellation stuff is a neat idea though.
When will the new dlc come out,I need new content
>Captcha is BAAL
I really wanted to play and enjoy Grim Dawn but my pc is too shit.
I fucking love the witch hunter theme, I live 2 miles down the road from Matty Hopkins.
Titan quest was some of the most fun I've ever had in pc gaming and being my first real pc game.
Really wish my laptop was a bit better
>I really wanted to play and enjoy Grim Dawn but my pc is too shit.
I feel you bro.
Bullshit, Titan Quest was great and has aged perfectly you fucking faggot
its titan quest with less interesting build potential. constellations make up for it a little bit but titan quest still allows for much more interesting builds imo
however its also much better paced than titan quest, despite most areas being uninteresting swamps or hills.
TQ has more class combinations, GD has more options for each class combo.
i dont like the art
i enjoy it a lot, it's not a bad game, there are things i wish could improve but can't have the best of both worlds. it's a hell of a lot better than D3 without a doubt. To me it's a little better than titan quest.
yea but the actual abilities are far less interesting. For instance in TQ you could do amazing things like mix ternion attack with the rogue poison, so youd be shooting a shit ton of projectiles that explode into an AOE, slow, stumble attacks, and confuse on every hit. In comparison to GD your choices are usually just x skills with x damage increasing buff and your choice of constellation procs to switch it up.
