For some reason I'm really struggling with button inputs in this.especially like back-down and left-right/right-left type inputs.

I'm not sure if it's because of the PS4 controller and my unfamiliarity with it (I'm playing my friends copy, I don't own a modern console), or if the game itself is at fault or if I just suck or what, but I don't remember ever having such issues for simple inputs like in Tekken for example...

Then Injustice came out and it was the same thing. It looks awful and it keeps taking me out of the game. I can only play MKX while drunk with friends, otherwise I'll stick to GG (or god forbid, SFV)

Tekken 4 got this right in fucking 2001 with the characters getting up between rounds and wiping the dust/sweat or cursing before getting into their fight stances for the next round

Actually NRS games have very creative "getting back up from round defeat" animations. When it comes to Tekken's lowest in defeat animations, I can't stop thinking about their awful reaching for the spine animation instead of letting you wail on your opponent for 2 seconds more.

I play SG and don't have much of a problem with zoners but I'm also aware I'm playing high tier and that 90% of the cast does not have the tools for a fair match against Deadshot.

Let's compare Ken and Flash, both impulsive, fast, springy fighters from different games

Ken's stance is light on his feet, his whole body bouncing up and down, left and right in a rhythm that gives him an air of unpredictability. His hands are up, ready to strike, one floating in front of him while the other is back, ready for a strong punch. It conveys clearly that Ken goes from 0 to 100 in a second and it really fits his fiery personality

Now let's look at Flash. He's also fast and cocky but his stance makes him look like a bumbling retard. His legs go up and down too but it doesn't make him feel light on his feet because they are glued to the ground. His arms float around to try to convey that he's fidgety but his back arm spins around like one of those visual gags where someone prepares a punch with one hand just to slap the other person with the other. It has no coherency and it just looks like he has ADHD

I have played the game. Been playing mostly with Brainiac. Got him to 20 already. I don't get how people lose to me playing him online. All you have to do is block high and step right into his grill. He has a grand total of 0 good low attacks and he's slow as all hell.

Anyway, point still stands. If you don't like a game, then just not playing it solves the problem.
