He irritated me and I saw no point in using him in my party unless I absolutely had to.

However, after I found out about his previous life and why he behaved the way he did I just felt sorry for him. He could never win against Serph no matter what he did or how hard he tried.

I actually knew a guy just like him in highschool, he was edgy and full of himself. Our group of friends stopped talking to him after he got obsessed with smoking weed to the point where it was all he talked about.

Mishima was probably the worst S.Link in the series. It never makes any sense, Mishima's appearances in the narrative do not reflect the growth in his SL, and even the MC treats him as an annoyance.

But those bonuses are really nice. I have it maxed and don't have to worry about juggling the party to keep levels balanced.I can keep in all my S.Link Max party members and sub in others to hit weaknesses when needed.

You can't. Mementos opens up as you progress through the plot and clear the main Palaces, so you're bound to hit roadblocks if you advance Mishima's Confidant "too quickly".

Jesus Christ user, Makoto and Yusuke are the only good party members

It's not like the game's that difficult. You're fucked for maxing out all Confidants, but you'll clear the game absolutely fine. If you want to get more done, start ranking up Temperance and Fortune. Temperance gives you free actions during class to increase your stats/read, Fortune lets you boost your relationships without spending time (meaning you don't have to waste time by seeing people when they won't rank up).

He was part of the reason it was damn near impossible to do a full social link run in Vanilla P3 without a guide. Then again, the system showed so many signs of not thinking things through, blaming him was pointless.
