Replace PS3 with Wii and you'd be right.
Replace PS3 with Wii and you'd be right
You forgot these two.
I agree.
WTF is doing PS3 there? I remember Wii and DS raped the entire competence that generation.
consoles faggot
this as much as the wii sucks
>ps3
>both the xbox 360 and wii sold more
Sonybros, I swear.
Nuu PS3
Replace that with the backwards compatible one
I assume those are the consoles you owned, OP?
Ps4 i wouldnt call it the winner since it feels like this generation hasnt had a winner but instead a bunch of losers.
>Handheld consoles are not consoles
idiot.
Mobile gaming and Facebook games are the winners this gen.
Not handhelds allowed then, retard.
Sorry if you are still butthurt about these two raping your beloved sony handhelds by outselling the fuck out of them.
They are completely allowed like it or not, idiot.
>PS3
>literally the worst of it's generation
I wonder who could be behind this post
PS3 and PS4 can't be on the same list. If it's a win in regards to sales, drop Ps3. If it's a win in regards to quality games, drop Ps4.
Then why didn't you post the gameboy, huh?
>snes
lol
I completely skipped the ps3 and even i know this post is fucking retarded. Nintendo hasn't won shit since they abandoned the JRPG market
This.
That generation was shit. I can't dredge up any interest in wanting to play many games from that time period.
Sorry, OP but the PS3 didn't win last gen.
Wii was better if you had taste.
Xbox 360 outsold it.
There's no metric to say Sony won every gen that isn't blind fanboyism.
There wasn't any real competition for it.
Xbox is for braindead dudebros who play call of duty
Wii is for children and families
PlayStation wins by default
Maybe if you're a retarded weeb.
...
PS1 winning is debateable, but PS3 absolutely dif not win by any metric.
I'll give you PS2. PS4 I guess wins if you consider the Pro/Scorpio stuff to be a new generation. If you don't, then you can't call it yet, given Scorpio hasn't even been fully revealed yet.
>PS3
>"winner"
>I'll give you PS2
Isn't it the best selling console of all time?
What did the Wii have that made it so great again?
Don't get me wrong, I don't think PS3 was much better for games' quality, all I ever played and really liked was Littlebigplanet, Ratchet and Clank and a couple of fighting games, but that's more than the Wii had to speak of:
>mario galaxy
>mario galaxy again
>shitty, watered down, unfinished zelda
>watered down metroid prime
>some rpgs i guess idk
>smash bros
>other games i could just play on another system with better graphics and no shitty motion gimmicks
I was a Genesis kid, so I feel your pain, but looking back on it the SNES was way better in every way (except that Genesis had the better version of Aladdin).
I haven't checked but I'm sure it sold better, too.
Feels bad, but our console definitely lost.
/End Discussion
...
Maybe? I don't know. It was definitely the winner of its generation. I was obviously not arguing that, though.
>there are "genesis kids"
Nigga wat
Why would your family not own both the genesis and SNES growing up?
Show me a better JRPG on PS3 than Operation Rainfall titles on Wii.
That's right. There's none.
Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2, also the Hyperdimension Neptunia series.
>SNES
>PS3
Genesis and 360 were superior
Ni No Kuni
Eternal Sonata
Resonance of Fate
The only thing the Super Nintendo library had over the Genesis library was JRPGs. The Genesis had way more variety in terms of everything else.
I said real competition user, not dead on arrival.
The Xbox 360 smoked the hell out of the PS3 though. At least until they got weird with Kinect near the end.
>there'll never be a PC 6
Honestly, it's better that they let the brand go out with a bang instead of just slowly merging with consoles.
yeah in terms of sports games
I said better. Not more weeb.
Ni No Kuni
>poor man's Pokémon with tons of grinding and shitty combat
Eternal Sonata
>more mediocre than Star Ocean games on the same system, ruined by shitty story and obnoxious characters
Resonance of Fate
>good
The SNES had a lot of Japanese support, the Genesis had a lot of western support.
And to say the SNES had more JRPGs is only telling half the story there; it had more RPGs in general because western RPGs weren't very popular at the time.
Aside from Sonic (ignore the current hellscape long enough to remember that Sonic used to be good, or at the very least not offensively bad), first party Sega titles were both less interesting and less common than first party Nintendo titles as well. And the SNES got the better versions of multiplats most of the time, due to having a better controller and a better sound chip.
Trails and neps are better than any JRPG on a nintendo console since SNES
>I decide which console won its respective generation
>Its all up to MY personal opinion
>ME
>ME
>ME

Replace PS1 with gamecube and PS3 with the 360 and this list is true
You do realize that OP's graphics is obviously based on sales, not library or hardware specs, right?
The Wii sold more than the PS3 and 360 combined
Persona 5
it wasn't enough of a difference in sales in my opinion to constitute a clear victory on nintendo's part.
especially considering sega's obscurity in the market before the genesis and nintendo's status as a household name, it's mind-blowing that they nearly beat out the snes's sales.
I have heard claims that sonic was once on equal footing with mickey mouse as the most popular character with kids and teens in america. that speaks volumes about how much of an impact sega had in the 90s.
if they had kept Tom Kalinske on board and not fucked it all up with the 32x and saturn, sega would probably have kept making consoles at least until the late 2000s.
Sales =\= quality
