Cutscene every 2 seconds

>cutscene every 2 seconds
The game

And it's fucking glorious

I'm having a great time but shit, sometimes I just want to go do stuff and everyone wants to talk to Geralt all the fucking time

it's either cutscenes or click click click click click combat
seriously what were they thinking?
All my friends say it's worth sitting through just to get to the masterpiece that is 3, but I don't have the patience

The best part of the game is the writing and story tho.

I don't disagree, but I like the combat as well

Damn, I thought I was the only one. It's pretty strange and janky, but something about it just feels fun.

>sometimes I just want to do stuff

Like fight drowners.

>why does this RPG have so much talking?

I liked it even more when playing with the isometric camera angle. Sit back and click away, collecting titty cards.

Idk, flipping over dudes and then blasting with igni is fun. And I like the combat style switching

The huge groundswell that the thrid one got made me really consider picking it up despite not having played the first two, but then someone on a podcast I listen to who has been a fan since the first one said you really dont get the full experience without playing the first two. I'm just not willing commit 2 RPGs worth of hours to enjoy the good one

Witcher 1 is fantastic, and 2 is really good too. It's not like your're wasting time with bad games or anything.

>click...click....click...click
>combat

>Charge attacks are silver talents

It isn't the best, but I think it gets unfairly shit on. It's a bit... basic, but at least it's functional. Insta-kills on stun is stupid, though. It only creates a huge impact during the first boss and in the mines near the end.

Are there really that many cutscenes in 1? I found it relatively well-paced except for a bit too much fetch-questing in the middle and some minor inventory management UI issues.

Yeah. At the very worst I'd say they can be mediocre.

I started this series just a short while ago and damn the first game is so fucking outdated. Everything feels almost as stiff as my dick after getting the romance card from Abigail.

I'm playing with the rise of the white wolf overhaul and it's updated it a bit. UI and textures are much better

Speaking as someone who loves the entire series, the plot from the first game is far enough removed from 2 and 3 that you can skip it. The second game is much more crucial to understanding the plot of 3 everything that goes on.

I used the controller configuration
fite me

If you want this to be a dick measuring contest I got you senpai....
>cutscene every second
The game

>cutscene
The Game

Will it fuck up any of the compatibility if I don't start a new game?

Nexus comments said it wouldn't but I'd be careful just in case
