What are some games with disappointing endings?

Shinobi, Master System.

Disappointing is a more subjective term, so there's no real way to classify it.

I didn't mind the ending

pic clearly not related

I didn't mind the idea but it was rushed as fuck, and the final fight with Aku was really disappointing.

they clearly needed about 3-5 more episode but only got the 10

Gee maybe that's why it's worth discussing?

>people loved the ending when just aired
>not even a day and they hate ir already

Stop readin all what Sup Forums says and make your own opinions. I liked it when it aired and thats what matters.

Mass effect 3
MGS5
Deus ex: MD
Half life
Kotor 2 without restored content

I swear to fuck there's at least "what games let me/can i/have i" offtopic stealth shit threads.

Why don't you fuck off.

>loved

Literally no one liked it, except Tumblrfags and their waifu shit.

I hated the fact that they literally just made Ashi realize she could time travel to past. That the stupidest fucking plot device especially when you built up the ENTIRE SEASON making us believe that there was no way to go back even go as far as to KILL THE FUCKING GUARDIAN. Not only that but you still could've had the exact same ending without the time travel, instead Ashi could've died because she needed Aku's presence or some shit to stay alive or some shit. At least it's not as retarded as just being able to barf out a portal.

>MGS5
Can you really count it as having a disappointing ending when it had no story to begin with?

Go and watch the sticky thread
Everyone loved it when it just aired

Poor execution.

I won't deny it had its flaws but I can respect Genndy's decision to end the series on a melancholy note instead of a forced happily ever after ending like so many other cartoon shows.

That new Wolfenstein that everyone liked.

I hated the whole story interfering with the game but the ending was just shit and not in the spirit of traditional id Software. What's really bad is it's one of those 'override what actually happens in gameplay' cut scenes where you beat the boss easily but the boss still mortally wounds you in the cinematic. Hate that shit.

Obligatory ME3.

Also one that wasn't mentioned is Darksiders 2. The first was extremely satisfying and ended on a high note, and the second just happened very quickly.

They could easily explain away Ashi knowing she could make time portals by having her be part of Aku and thus sharing in his knowledge.

Also the Guardian is overrated as fuck.

I wanted it to end on a melancholy note, but that was still shit

>"yeah jack lets get married"
>"oh fuck I just realized Aku is my dad"
All of this extremely rushed, trying to fit a main character's death in like 10 fucking seconds

bittersweet =/= bad

Also, the entire last chapter of Life is Strange. Dreadful. No tension in the cliffhanger opening and an extended indulgent dream sequence that goes no where. More of a coda than a legitimately ending and it sucks that the final cut scene was a binary choice not more personalised.

Everything else that game accomplished was great and a far bit better than anything those sellouts at Telltale have delivered.

Let me offset my whiny tone with best Emma.
