It was everything I wanted in an SJ ending, but it felt rushed.. it was like cramming a movie length's worth of content into a 22 minute episode.

I don't watch Jack but GL ended with the MC's love interest not being able to exist after the big bad was defeated because she was an extension of it. They get married and she fades away right there.
