What is the hardest boss in dark souls?
What is the hardest boss in dark souls?
Manus or O&S
Unironically Stone gargoyles
They are fucking horrible as a knight, and if you don't summon
Even O and S are better
Kalameet
whoever you use the lock-on function on
Honestly every multi enemy boss is just cheap as hell, except for maybe O&S
Gwyn without parrying
Gwyn dies like a bitch
AI reading player inputs due to lock-on is a meme
Fucked up camera is true
And rolling
Four Kings on anything past NG
>Four Kings NG+++
>get fukked DEXfags, the boss
I beat all 3 in offline mode because I pirated, and the only boss I summoned an npc for was Smelter Demon. Maybe it wasn't the "hardest", but it was the one I was most annoyed with to break my no cheating rule.
just wear havels / giantdad, smack them with lightning zweihander and keep chugging estus and its still autowin at NG+
every dexfag just followed some shitty guide anyway, because nobody would focus on this stat of his own accord
you deserve to get fucked
When you have to fight you
Manus
No discussion
I've been playing Dark Souls with hardly no points placed in extra vitality.
And I've been cursed forever, never played in human form and never summoned help on bosses.
I accidentally hit an NPC in the sewers because I thought she was a piece of evil fuckin' beef jerky, but she wasn't.
>walked around corner
>see beef jerky
>immediately attack because it looks like ALL the others in the area
>regret
I don't know how in the hell I beat half the bosses I've beaten, including OS
orstein and smough if u kill the fat one first
Manus is imo
He's the only boss that I'm worried will actually kill me whenever I enter his room.
Typically I'll get greedy and get hit by his wombo combo or one of his hexes when I don't have the pendant equipped.
Gwyn is learn2parry: the boss
Artorias is learn2roll: the boss (also don't let him power up)
Kalameet is simple enough once you learn where to position yourself.
O&S are easy to separate so you can focus on whichever one is closer, and neither are tough when it's 1v1.
4 Kings I just stack magic resistance and spam R1.
Gargoyles can be tough if you can't kill them quickly (which mostly depends on your level.) But zweihander+gold pine resin will annihilate them regardless of level.
Midir.
NPC in the sewers? Quelana?
I think so.
The one that sells the cure for being cursed.
the only friendly hollow female I can think of is the merchant lady with the moss
user probably means the waterway merchant.
The moss Gurl. But she was behind bars how do you even kill her? And the talk prompt is fucking gigantic
Can I beat the game with base halberd. I fucking love that weapon, it's at 4+ already.
People have beat the game with the starting broken dagger.
Upgraded it to +15
Gopher it
I mean it don't want it to be too hard for myself, I'm not a HAARDDDCORE fag
I just want to know if it is comfortable to use
Bed of Chaos isn't the hardest per se, but it's definitely the most fucking frustrating. It's a long-ass walk back to the boss every time that requires you to go through lava even with the shortcut, so you either keep the orange ring on or spend a stupid amount of time switching it on/off every time you get past the lava parts. Not to mention that falling in holes and instantly dying is fucking ridiculous.
with nitos gravesword every boss is easy af
Anything that's not
>a whip
>a dagger
>a fist weapon
>clearly shit (straight sword hilt, broken straight sword)
can be used to beat the game by the average player.
Other weapons might be bad compared to others, but with the right build, pretty much anything is viable for beating the game.
Upgrade that halberd whenever you can, invest points mostly in dex and a little in str and you'll be fine.
Wouldn't he need enough endurance to not fat roll errwhere?
Yeah I guess I should've mentioned other stats.
30 vit and enough end to keep below 50% equip load is enough for NG. Havel's and FaP rings are universally helpful too.
DS: Manus
DS2: ?
DS3: Gael
Ancient dragon. Everything is a 1hko and he can literally do flame attacks that are impossible to avoid if you're unlucky.
This. Only boss that I haven't beaten thanks to massive hp and camera issues
DS: Trying to cut Kalameet tail
DS2: LMAO 2 TIGERS
DS3: Demon Prince
Midir is easier than demon prince. His health is actually 80% of the hp bar since you can reposte 20% of it to finish him off.
Git gud.
>Demon Prince
wut
I agree.
I beat these games without using shields, parries or summons and the hardest was probably Champion Gundyr (definitely the most exciting).
I don't know why but i always struggle with Centipede Demon. During my SL1 playthrough he was such a bitch
>heard Capra demon is hard and bell gargoyle is insultingly easily
>beat Capra demon in 6 tries and bell gargoyle in 16
Wtf I hate IGN wikis now
>Kalameet
>hard
get out of this thread and go back playing Animal Crossing
God damn smelter demon gave me more shit than fume knight. I was so fucking mad when i found out there was another one in the old iron king DLC.
>The boss so timed out it could be a minigame in rhythm heaven.
Midir exists, you know.
>I can't read
Kalameet isn't hard, cutting his tail is.
Fuck off illiterate underage nigger
Midir is easy as fuck.
No one has ever beaten Ceaseless Discharge legit.
I've beaten every boss in all 3 games without summons with the exception of Ancient Dragon in DS2, because I was playing pre-patch and he was broken and shit, and I have to say that the only boss fight that took me more than 7 or so tries would be Fume Knight.
???
>roll when he starts to swing
>attack limb
>repeat
>ITT
Bloodborne is even more like that, some people have problems with bsb but can beat amelia or the one reborn easily, for some people it is the other way around
I can beat all 3 souls game with ease and the capra demon still shits on me regularly
He probably just hit her without killing her, likely poked her with a spear
It causes her to run deeper into the sewers and shit talk you from far away
Oswald can fix it, of course
>DeS; Maneaters
>Das: Manus
>Das2: Fume nigger
>Das3: Midir
>BB: Orphan
I thought Manus was really fucking hard because he was moving around and shaking so much I never understood his moveset.
Ornstein and Smough killed me like 50-60 times in a row but after I beat them the first time, I never died to them ever again when running the game through multiple times.
>Orphan
how can so basic bitch looking enemy be so difficult?
>Midir
the only hard part about that fight is learning the hard way that hitting its legs is the worst you can do and sticking in his face the whole time makes the fight easy
>mfw played DaS dozens of times
>never have died to capra demon not even when I was absolute shit on my first playthough without knowing the games mechanics
>so shit in fact that I died to gaping dragon 26 times
I still have no clue why people complain about capra
>Wanna play Dark Souls again
>remember I'll have to fight Bed of Chaos again
>nah, fuck that
Before I beat him the first time, Manus' fight was intense just trying to find Sif's summon sign.
Having her distract him was the only way I could beat him before actually gitting gud.
>DeS; Flamelurker
>Das: Manus
>Das2: Fume nigger
>Das3: Demon Prince
>BB: Pthumerian Descendant
I will never forget that sickle wielding mother fucker and his i dont run out of stamina bull shit, i almost stopped doing chalice dungeons right there
It's just RNG, if his first attack is the leap attack and the dogs aggro you before you walk through the fog, you get stuck in the corner before the steps and there's not really a ton you can do about it. At least that whole thing is optional with the key.
How hard is Gael? I haven't bought the DLC yet but just from seeing a few tiny bits of the battle makes my palms sweat already.
Even at 99 insight your brain just can't conceive how swole af he actually is
its not that hard but its fun as fuck though, the whole fight keeps you on your toes and tests how good youve gotten at rolling. Its long as shit too it was like 20 mins for me
He's the hardest in the game. Three phases, lots of health, good positioning and timing required to dodge some attack chains. But obviously once you learn his patterns he goes down like anything else.
>they dont know
Don't know what? To cheese him with poison?
no
how to insta kill him with the cinematic
that's boring
Capra Demon fucks over anyone fat rolling or not stupidly over-levelled.
Once you get past the first five seconds without being stunlocked to death, he's easy.
To this day I haven't beat Capra Demon without running up the stairs like a little girl.
Shit moves way too fast for me to even think about killing the dogs before one of them stuns me and Capra just fucking tees off.
I beat Capra demon on my first try.
Learn 2 roll
I just shield tanked my way through, and poked it with my halberd. The dogs go down in one spin, so there you go
Knight 4 lyfe
>had a lot of trouble with quelaag and gaping dragon
>beat O&S second try and Four Kings on first
I'm not the only one, right?
>roll
I never rolled once during the fight LOL
I'm new to DaS and I'm at the depths. I don't think I rolled once successfully the entire game unless I am spamming it. Will I be forced to Git Gud later?
I'm like the opposite
O&S fucked me hard, Queelag was my bitch
Yes. You should force yourself to play without a shield for a while so you git gud. Das1 should have really forced you to learn how to roll before giving you a shield. In das2 most starting classes don't even have a shield and in das3 you need to learn how to roll to beat the first boss. From realized their mistake when lots of das1 players would get stuck 25 hours in because they never learned how to roll early on.
Anyway yes, learn to roll. It makes the game more fun and knowing when to block vs roll is half the game.
Awww fuck where is a good place to practice? As I said I am stuck in the depths now
Why would you want to do that?
The depths is a decent place to practice as all you fight are hollows, rats, and those giant frogs. The best place to practice is probably undead burg just because the enemies are so easy.
I've never had any problem with Quelaag so long as I don't get sloppy and fail to spot her jump attack
blue smelter is just plane unfair.
>bloated hp
>arena wide hit box with buff
>immolation
>that fucking 5 year delay swing
Four kings on NG+++ fucked me up pretty hard
I had an easy time with Manus, Kalameet gave me far more trouble.
...
wait what how
Capra Demon if you are
>new
>bad
>Slow guy with STR build
Huge mofo casual filter
And the Anor Londo archers
Kalameet.
capra demon is only hard if you're still in the "omg DaS hardest game ever everything that mvoes kills you" mindset.
When he charges up his swings there is a delay while he spins in place to track the player, if you roll as soon he raises his weapon your invicincibility runs out the moment he actually attacks, if you already learnt to actually roll when you're about to get hit instead of falling for every windup he's piss easy.
I first timed Queelag and O&S altho in the latter I was down to having to use 2 (two) humanities to survive. I beat capra the first time too, so far the gargoyles were the worst. And I get assfucked in that transient curse area bullshit. And the Ceaseless Discharge killed me so I dropped it for now.
I don't think I am very far in at all, I wanted to go kill the tranny moonfag and the wolf but I am unable to travel. I haven't finished the game yet and Im 35hrs in I think. I'm in the archive's cell I think unfortunately.
Am I anywhere near the end?
I wish there was an arena like feature where we can just fight bosses for the hell of it.
>pick a strength-based class at start of game because you don't know any better
>you are now a casual apparently
Really, the hardest boss in dark souls is the fucking community.
Would be cool as fuck
>im all 3 but killed him first try
As soon as I saw dogs I went for them. Only a retard doesn't go for the cliche motherfuckers meant to fuck you over when a boss is easy 1o1
Anyone have issues getting a DS4 controller to work for the Prepare to Die edition on Steam? I use DS4Windows and a DS4 with a USB, but when I get into the game, the controls are retardedly sensitive.
I've never played, read, or watched anything about the souls game so I'm looking forward to going in blind for the first time, but my god damn controller won't work
