Fuck this no fun allowed piece of shit of an item. How the fuck the Star isn't a good enough power-up for the shitters near the last place, how fucking retard do you have to be to not at least catch up a few places with it. This shit only shits on the people who are already decent enough at the game to have the skills to reach 1st place even with all the fucking red shells that have hit you 4 fucking times in a row just a second ago. Yes I'm fucking mad.

Lightning, on the other hand, is the worst fucking item in anything, ever.

How do I suppose to git gud when this shit is fucking me in the ass every time I'm in first place in the last lap?
Lighting can eat shit too, but Blue Shells are infinitely more salt inducing for me.

the game is trying to pander to both competitive and casual players
the super horn even destroys it if you can at the right time
if you time it right or get good you can easily get 2nd 3rd and even 4th place in the blast if you time your breaks right
its totally random and hits everything in its path its meant to try to even the playing field but you even really need to worry about it if your far head or any good at the game

Just hang out around 6th place for the first 2 laps and gather good items.

Or play without items. It's an RNG game.

Its given to those in last place or close to, but its never really going to help them. The guy at the back sure as hell isnt going to make up any places for it, ut just helps the guy in second or third.

Its really just a game mechanic built to fuck players over.

How is it the evening the playing field? Every other item evens it, but the blue shell just fucks you over because fuck you for being good. It's not even going to help casuals out really because if they are so far behind that they got a blue shell then they probably won't catch up.
You never get this in first place or even second and third.

Get it third all the time.
Problem is when lightning destroys your items.

you should be far enough ahead that the blue shell wont ruin it
but yeah, staying JUST behind the first place in 2nd is a good strategy too
one blue shell WILL happen and then you just take over

This item is a necessary equalizer. If you manage to pull far ahead at the beginning of a game nothing is going to bother you, while the other players race in a bulk and constantly slow each other with shells. This item is so that the you won't pull even farther ahead just because you are first.
