can I have your copy?

I didn't even buy this game and I regret playing it.

...

Why do you regret P3?

Because game was uninspired garbage
Can't name even 1 good thing about it

I played the game for the first time on the android

Is the full game just pressing X

Land then walking in a square map

because a couple of years later FES came out

nice meme
brink was a great game

fuck

>implying thats not what every other persona gaem is

wasn't worth playing through despite the free plat

Same as your parent's regretting having you and not getting a abortion

Is this one really all that bad? I've seen it for 5€. Is it worth it at that price?

>brink was a great game
Is that why it stopped being mentioned a day after release?

...

Is the thread dead already? Anyway here's my remorse for the last year. Got it on sale, still was 24€ or something

I really tried to like it but somehow just bored me to tears, a watered down Civ V and the UI is fucking atrocious and ugly. Moreover couldn't refund cuz the 2 week shit.

Can someone tell me why the game is shit? My friend deeply loves it

You can still refund, you just have to not have played more than two hours.

>Never finished the PS3 version
>Bought remaster for PS4
>Never finished
kek

This is actually the game which got me into the Persona series, it's near flawless in its genre. Only neckbeard Call of Duty and GTA fangays hate on it.

only game I've ever pre-ordered, may I burn in hell eternally

I started playing this recently and I can't really get why people like persona

Is 4 better?

>near flawless
M8 come on, Tartarus was complete ass.

Already tried with Subnautica (stuttering galore) and even with just 1 hour played Steam just cancelled my petition.

The problem is i'm a retard who wastes over 100€ on Summer/Xmas sales just to play the games a year later...

Dude please I wasted whole days grinding it, it was tons of fun. Maybe you didn't the party formation right or turn based combats aren't your thing but Tartarus isn't to blame.

Depends, what dont you like about it? That will kinda dictate what game you should try instead. I have a friend who absolutely despises social links believing that theyre the tedium between his dungeon crawling so mainline SMT is more his thing.

You can't control your party members (you can in the psp version but I think it has less cutscenes).

The game only has one dungeon which changes colour slightly every 40 floors or so. It probably has the worst level design of any SMT game.

t.never played a JRPG before

No man, I love turn based combat and everything else about P3 but the dungeon itself was a boring slog going through copypasted randomized dungeons that only had minimal theme changes after every boss.

It's a kind of watered down SMT with high school flavoring, and the randomly generated mazes dont resonate with everyone. Your mileage will vary depending on what you look for in a jrpg.

4 is generally the same but it's a slice of life story. I personally went backwards going 4 to 3, and I found that 3 has better fights/story, but 4 has the better pacing.

Did you try asking for steam wallet credit instead of adding the money to your bank account?

I got to the very end (boss) of this game and then quit and never went back to it.

>uninspired
There are lots of negative adjectives that aptly describe the game and series in general but that is not one of them

Well Tartarus is kinda boring

I beat the train boss and idk it just seems really linear gameplay wise, like I never have to really switch a persona

On top of that the social links are kinda boring or I guess I'm not really sure what I should be focusing on

Like my academics are the third rank but I don't know if I'm doing well enough on academics

Also don't know if I'm romancing yet or not

I guess it just feels really disjointed and didn't age well unless I played it previously and kinda know what to focus on

t. triggered gta fanboy

>copypasted randomized dungeons that only had minimal theme changes

Yes true but I personally didn't get tired of it. It's just a preference thing I guess, not everyone has to like it.

Tartarus is a long and arduous slog, this is essentially unanimously agreed upon even by fans

The game has some mini dungeons for some of the main bosses, like the hotel.
You forgot to mention that all the enemies are just recolours of previous weaker Shadows.
Really shitty fucking game.
It doesn't strike the balance between stat raising and social events, and dungeon crawling well.
Plus, the dungeons are just randomized floors with no depth to them.
The gameplay really does just boil down to "look for stairs up while fighting doing the annoying team attacks".

Is it? Tartarus is what this game revolves around lol. What you on about? What fans?

>don't know what to focus on
Why would you on a first play through of anything? Your being unable to cope with not knowing how well you're doing doesn't reflect poorly on the game but I guess it isn't for you if you feel that way

...

yes

Nobody praises this game for its dungeon crawling.

It's really not and I'm honestly surprised you like the game at all if that's what you thought.

Well aren't there timed events like exams where you need certain stats to be at a certain point

I do like the characters to say the least

Is there a point where story really starts to engage the player, this is kinda what I'm holding. Out for

...

Refuting the points without backing up with any counter arguments, go back to your cod online multiplayer pls.

You're right on both accounts but you really shouldn't be worried about maxing Social Links on a first play through, it requires a shitton of planning and precision even on NG+.

If you like the characters that can probably carry you through the game. The story does get more engaging, but in bursts. The pacing is pretty horrendous, but I thought it was worth it. The last couple of months of the game are absolutely fantastic.

This. Don't worry about social links on the first playthrough, just make love to Ken and call it a day.

I bought it after it went F2P because I was having so much fun with it and owning the game unlocked a lot of shit for you. It died again like 2 weeks after I bought it, and then the publishers pulled the plug on any further development.

Is it worth getting a PS TV for P4G or should I just emulate it?

The game is garbage, don't play it at all.

4 is worse i just about every way besides muh party member control

Really? But I really like P5

You didn't provide any evidence when making your points so there's nothing to disprove anyway

It depends. See, at it's core the Persona games (3, 4 and 5) are basically Anime Simulator 20XX.

Picture something like Haruhi Sizumiya, where our main character is a high school student BUT has the role on engaging in wacky adventures in order to save the day, That is Persona.

You have to go to school, you have friends, a part-time job if you wanna pick one, a potential love interest, etc. All the stuff that comes with your standard anime episode. And then we engage in the JRPG part which is the wacky adventures I was speaking of come in (In 3, it's Apathy syndrome and what's causing it, in 4 it's a murder mystery, in 5, it's social reform and how adults can really abuse their positions of power due to the Japanese love of Muh Sensei) and it's how you balance your time between your responsibilities in the real world and your trying to achieve your typical JRPG goals.

No, it's great, it's just got a different feel to 3 and 5. Story's also a lot less ambitious and the writing's weaker, but most of the social links are less boring than 3 and the town is very well realized. P3, 4 and 5 are much more than the sum of each of their parts which is why it's easy to criticize them and still enjoy them a lot.

You could not like it but saying it's uninspired...

2/10 made me reply

Noh.

nice bait

I knew something felt off in the Open Beta.

But I had some friends real hyped about it, and hadn't really played anything in a while.

So as I bought it on launch day and started downloading I knew I got bamboozled.
