nope, link?

Reggie was always deeply deluded into believing that other m was a good game, so I'd love to see that

I like Phantom Hourglass

youtu.be/G_OgxrwWZU8?t=2m48s

2:48

Reggie routinely shits on fans by referencing Mother 3 so he deserves it

youtu.be/G_OgxrwWZU8?t=2m49s

Based as fuck

He knows it's shit, but he can't say it.

is that james mcavoy?

Whoa that Virtual Console comment right after actually has me a bit excited

...

Based Reg openly asking for criticism

...

What were they thinking when they made this shit?

Phantom Hourglass is a good game.

It was the only Zelda game I've ever played.
And I loved it.

Zelda fans are spoiled cunts.

I liked Phantom Hourglass, but normal controls would've made it a lot better

looked like a cool idea tbqh
actual game sucked

>let's take an exploration game and turn it into God of War with bad controls and a retarded MGS-wannabe story

Pretty sure ProJared and the other normalboots guys are paid Nintendo shills so what does it matter

Reggie doesn't give a shit, he didn't make the games.

"Worst Zelda game" my ass. Spirit Tracks and Minish Cap were worse than Phantom Hourglass. Skyward Sword arguably was too.

>it was the only Zelda game I ever played.

>It was the only game Zelda I've ever played
And that's why you don't understand why fans of the series don't like it. Even if it's a decent game in its own right, it doesn't do the series a service.

I think Nintendo's biggest modern blunder is how aggressively over-litigious they've acted. Like, they C&D'd AM2R, and then on top of that they actively threatened everyone they'd cut off all future involvement with them if they continued to cover or mention it.

Nintendo needs a reality check.

>It was the only Zelda game I've ever played
>implying you're entitled to an opinion

I still enjoyed Other M no matter what public opinion is, it's a fun little game. Controls were bad though,

Fuck you Spirit Tracks fixed the trash Phantom Hourglass shat out

>say it to my face
>can't make eye contact while saying shit

Sure did say shit to reggie.

But user

Hey

But what if

HEY

What if It's because they were planning a 2D Metroid

If not then I agree with you

Phantom Hourglass was decent even if touch controls were shit.

I meant the idea of samus going back to being more acrobatic, that's what the picture implies.
As opposed to in Prime, where they turned samus into some sort of slow mobile tank-suit

Yeah I sure do love LITERALLY being railroaded in my overworld exploration.

ugh ProJared's fucking face is disgusting

I'm sure you'd be nervous too if you were conducting an interview with the COO of NoA.

At least he got the words out on top of requesting a new Mon Hun for Switch.

did he get paid for this interview

I wish someone would finally take Nintendo to court on their whole 'you're not allowed to so much as mention our products unless you join our affiliate program and pay us' which is not how the law actually works

The thing is, Samus was never really all that acrobatic. She spun when she jumped and could run fast, but she was actually a bit slow compared to Mario in Super Mario World.

>What if It's because they were planning a 2D Metroid

>At least he got the words out on top of requesting a new Mon Hun for Switch.

That was a fucking weak request, MonHun is on the wii/ wii u and 3ds, of course it's coming to the switch. Fucker should have asked for something that wasn't already coming.

Nintendo flew him out to the Switch event like they did with some other youtubers/press members.

>Shills
The term is "Brand Ambassadors". Although, I think the only one who lets his access and connections paint his opinions is The Completionist.

>Friends with developers
>Gets free games
>Gets free merch
>Gets free access to events
>"My opinions are my own, guys"
>Shitty games come out and get appropriately shitty reviews
>"I don't know what other reviewers are talking about THESE GAMES ARE GREAT!"
*cashes cheque*

autismo maximus.

also fuck off, that game is 7 years old.
time to move on.

Not video games.

She's acrobatic as fuck in Zero Mission and Fusion.

she ran, did that light speed shit, jumped off of walls, could do the fucking space jump spin shit, etc. Acrobatic doesn't mean super fast.
In Prime for most of the series there was just the double jump, and even that was really a lot slower than classic samus.
Even when they reintroduced the spin jump thing it's just really slow in one direction and you only get like 4 jumps

7 years doesn't make a bad game good :)

It pisses me off that interviewers try pulling this shit with Reggie, but when it comes time to interview Miyamoto or Aonuma or whatever suddenly it's kids gloves.

The people who actually make the games are the ones who need to be called out to their faces.

We must never forget or Nintendo will keep doing it to every one of their B-tier franchises until their are none left.

Which game is worse

RE6 or Other M?

What a load of shit.

>Prime
>3D

Uh, yeah, so you could focus on combat. And frankly, I'm surprised there wasn't a Screw Attack limit sooner.

Other M arguably did a lot more harm to its respective franchise. Resident Evil 6 led to Resident Evil 7 only a few years later, which was the return to form that franchise had been longing for.

Other M came out 7 years ago and Nintendo has done nothing but insult the fans ever since with bullshit like Federation Force. The Metroid franchise is effectively dead right now, the same way Star Fox was leading up to Zero, and with our luck the next Metroid game will be another Star Fox Zero tier failure.

Gotta be respective to elders, especially ones that have contributed as much to the industry as Miyamoto

Really all you have to say about him is that he liked Star Fox Zero.

Other M by far and away. It's not even a question.

For one thing, at least RE6 actually had great combat that you got to see in the Mercs mode. Other M had shit gameplay all-around. At least RE6 didn't kill its fucking franchise.

>Yooka-Laylee
>Paper Mario Colour Splash
>Zelda BotW
>For Honor
>Star Fox Zero

All games that he got pre-release, did some promotions for, and got access to people and events. His release day inflated 10/10 reviews are always bookended by interviews with developers and paid promotions.

If all you're gonna do is kiss their asses then don't act surprised when they keep doing tone deaf shit.

RE6 was a fucking amusement park celebration ride with Resident evil decorations all over it. It was retarded but it was super fun.

Other M was a mediocre and tedious game to play and a fucking affront and bastardization to a beloved character and series.

You tell me.

Phantom Hourglass was still solid, even if it was the worst Zelda game (if you don't count the CD-i games). And it's been overtaken by Triforce Heroes as the worst Zelda game.

Other M was fucking awful though.

Really wish the bias against the game wasn't so apparent in this image

Well, duh. That's why I'm saying the concept of having a 3D metroid where samus is as acrobatic as the 2D metroids was an interesting CONCEPT, but they botched it wholly.

Will die from a heart attack from stress

Who the fuck said it was good?

I kinda liked Phantom Hourglass, but I absolutely hated spirit track, so slow, repetitive, not challenging with barely any exploration and you can only get the two secret scroll at the very end of the game, if you backtrack a lot more than necessary.

Phantom Hourglass had the annoying temple of the sea king, but it was overall more balanced

What reason does the person have to be biased against Star Fox Zero?

Because it's bad?

This is the mindset that gets you shit like Other M in the first place.

Part of the problem is is that Sakamoto actually wanted to make a classic 2(.5)D Metroid game, hence the NES styled Wiimote controls. Team Ninja on the other hand wanted to make a 3D character action game ala Ninja Gaiden. In the end, instead of going in one solid direction, we ended up with a compromised mess, gameplay wise.

ign.com/articles/2010/03/11/gdc-10-metroid-director-wanted-classic-controls

>Team Ninja stepped in to work on the project and was selected because the team played off the Nintendo-based team extremely well, bouncing ideas back and forth throughout the development. Sakamoto used a specific instance as an example: he insisted that the game would be an on-rails side-scrolling adventure that used the Wii remote exclusively like an NES/Famicom controller. But Team Ninja really wanted to make it a nunchuk-analog controlling game for 3D foreground/background exploration. Sakamoto stood firm on the Wii remote exclusivity. When the Team Ninja came up with an idea that could incorporate Sakamoto's Wii remote focus into a non-on-rails design, he was skeptical -- but when he finally saw what they came up with, he thought the solution was perfect. They called it "Famicom Game Plus."

>insult the fans
>Prime 2 sold half of what Prime 1 sold
>Prime 3 sold better, but not too much
It's not their fault you retards didn't buy their good games back in the day.

>Prime 2 sold half of what Prime 1 sold

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that Nintendo released it practically the same day as Halo 2.

Not only that, but they hyped up the new multiplayer mode even though you couldn't play it online, while Halo 2's big selling feature was its online mode.

>Sakamoto wanted to make an on-rails Metroid game

This explains a lot.

I bought Prime 2, so blame the rest of the people who chose Halo then, not Nintendo.

RE6 was actually fun, so I'm going with that.

So that leaves it with all the features of MP1, and it still sold half. Metroid Prime sold on old school hype and curious Smash players, it turned out Metroid is just not for everyone.

Reggie remember

>"...You're already dead, sensei."

7 years and people are still misunderstanding what he said there.

He didn't want to make a rail shooter, he wanted to make a sidescroller with a 3d camera like Klonoa or Viewtiful Joe.

Are you on crack? Woman has very acrobatic since the first game. What was your first Metroid, Prime?

I guess his body WASN'T ready XD XD !11!!

This is a dumb thing to say considering Botw is a thing and is the least Zelda game of all the Zelda games

It's the closest to the original vision for the series. It's not another OoT remake with a twist.

Don't blame Halo 2, blame that garbage fetched quest at the end of the game. Finding out the sequel had a worst version of that mixed with a poor excuse of a multiplayer probably didn't help at the time.

He wanted a 2D game, what Other M should have been. No one asked for Metroid Gaiden especially one with 2D controls.

I couldn't get into either of them. Controlling everything with the stylus just felt awful. It reminded me of one time I tried to play Mega Man X with a steering wheel controller. Except that was for shits and giggles, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks don't even have the options for normal controls.

>Putting BoTW there

Sneaky.

>what is bad release window

It doesn't matter how good Metroid Prime 2 was. It was never going to beat Halo, and Nintendo were fools for thinking it would. Xbox had much better marketing and broader appeal than the Gamecube, and Halo was one of the biggest franchises of the decade. Metroid Prime sold well but Halo was a juggernaut, and Nintedno were full of themselves trying to position Metroid Prime 2 as a "halo killer."

If you are a customer with $50 of disposable income, and Metroid Prime 2 and Halo 2 are out on the same day, Metroid Prime 2 is going to lose 9 times out of 10. And unfortunately, most games get most of their sales in the first week, and if they don't make a major impact on the charts they will be forgotten.

After the success of MP, Nintendo got full of themselves and fell for the misguided meme that Metroid was competing against Halo, and they thought they could actually pit MP against Halo 2 and win. They were wrong, but some people (like you) misintepret this as "Metroid Prime 2 failed because no-one liked it, but the fans are stupid so they blame Nintendo," completely removing it from the historical context. Nintendo chose a bad release date for it out of arrogance, and ended up paying for it.

Samus has limited movement in Metroid 1.

I think the completionist is a real nigga, hes just super optimistic and excited about videogames in general, he likes everything.

>Tfw Jirard and Greg hate eachother and Jirard won't acknowledge Greg's existence anymore

Do you really think this very specific moment in the game is something that people would have been aware of when they bought the game?

"Man, I want to buy Metroid Prime 2, but there's this really annoying fetch quest at the end, so I'm not buying it!"

That shit is what we call "revisionist history." Plenty of people were saying back then that Nintendo was being stupid putting MP2 up against Halo 2, and ultimately that's why the sales declined. People did not have advanced foresight of any specific problem with the game that would have stopped them from buying it, and MP2 got good reviews. It was a simple matter of economics that you can't release a big game only a few days after Halo 2 and expect millions of people to run out and buy it.

whatever happened with greg? He was an annoying faggot and shitted up the early videos, it was terrible
did they fight?

>Wouldn't even look at him

Pathetic

ProJared looks like Reggie's cuck servant in that picture.

Metroid cucks got bit off hard by Halo. Nobody's fault Nintendo couldn't keep up.

Get out of here you bug faced goon

>Xbox had much better marketing and broader appeal than the Gamecube
Not really, they both sold about the same number of consoles. Halo was the Smash for Xbox, a good 1 in every 3 people who owned the console also owned the game.

Still flips like crazy.

>shitting on minish cap
explain yourself

Okay you're right about that and then they pulled the same shit with Metroid Prime 3 by releasing it next to Halo 3. Halo 3 outright killed Metroid Prime 3 in sales. Nintendo or rather Tanabe kept putting Metroid Prime against Halo and turning Prime into more of a shooter. Prime 2 and 3 both payed for it. I doubt Tanabe learned his lesson.

He got buttmad Jirard said he was the big boss while Greg was 2nd fiddle and left and is still being a bitch abiut it to this day while Jirard got over it and his channel ckntinues to grow while Greg is a z-tier eceleb now that acts passive aggressive when asked about it.

You can tell who the talent was.
